In Moscow, 44 milk distribution points have opened after renovation. Thus, families from 39 districts of the capital will receive free quality food products in comfortable conditions. This was reported by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.
“The city cares about the health and well-being of young Muscovites and provides comprehensive support to their parents even in the most insignificant, at first glance, issues. For example, we create comfortable conditions for receiving free food products intended for pregnant women, nursing mothers and their babies. To date, we have already managed to repair another 44 milk distribution points, re-equipped them according to modern standards: this is new plumbing, reliable fire safety and air conditioning systems. Inside and outside – convenient and clear navigation, the design of the premises is done in a single style, at the disposal of visitors and employees are ergonomic and functional furniture. In total, within the framework of the modernization program of the capital’s milk kitchens, 128 points have already been updated, and we plan to open another 28 in the near future,” said Anastasia Rakova.
The total area of 44 renovated points exceeded four thousand square meters. They opened in 10 districts: four in the Eastern Administrative District, two in the west of the city and in the Zelenograd Administrative District, five in the north and southwest, three in the center, southeast and northwest, as well as six in the Southern Administrative District and 11 in the North-Eastern Administrative District. In addition, 84 premises were previously renovated and re-equipped as part of the renovation program.
In total, there are more than 200 milk distribution points in Moscow. They are open daily from 06:30 to 15:00 (lunch break from 12:30 to 13:00). The right to free meals is granted to pregnant women and nursing mothers of children under six months, children under three years old and children from large families under seven years old. In addition, the benefit applies to children under 15 with certain chronic diseases, as well as children with disabilities. Women are given fortified juices and milk, children are given milk formulas, vegetable and fruit purees, cottage cheese and other products.
To receive discounted products, you must have permanent registration in the capital, a Moscow temporary or permanent compulsory medical insurance policy (CHI), and also be attached to a city clinic or antenatal clinic.
Permission to independently place orders on mos.ru is issued by a doctor at a city medical organization. For those who have already confirmed their preferential category and received free meals based on medical reports, the service is available on mos.ru automatically in the section “Family and Children”. There you can also choose a specific milk point and day of visit. After submitting an application on the portal, an electronic referral is issued, which must be presented at the milk kitchen when receiving the products.
