The Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha company, which is part of the oil and gas production complex of NK Rosneft, has discovered a large oil and gas condensate field in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). More than 9.5 billion m3 of gas and more than 1.5 million tons of oil have been placed on the balance sheet of the State Reserves Commission. The new field is called Kubalakhskoye.
Improving the efficiency of reserve replenishment is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 Strategy. The company plans to replenish at least 100% of the hydrocarbons produced.
The Kubalakhskoye field is located in close proximity to the Srednebotuobinskoye field, which is also being industrially developed by Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha. The use of the associated infrastructure will increase the efficiency of the development of the Kubalakhskoye field reserves.
The results of drilling the 1P Kubalakhskaya well allowed not only to discover a new deposit, but also determined the further scope of geological exploration work in this region. Drilling of 4 exploration wells is already planned to study the territory.
Rosneft, through its subsidiary Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha, is carrying out large-scale geological exploration work in the Republic of Sakha. High efficiency of geological exploration work (five fields have been discovered in three years) is achieved through the use of innovative technologies, an integrated approach to geological exploration work, and effective interaction between geologists from Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha and RN-Exploration and specialists from the RN-KrasnoyarskNIPIneft Institute (part of Rosneft).
