#EDITORSF: RSF pays tribute to the journalists slain every year in Bayeux, and this year there was a special homage to the journalists of Gaza. 57 new names were engraved in white marble, the names of reporters who paid with their lives for their dedication to keeping the world informed.
Thibaut Bruttin, RSF’s Director General, reflects on the memorial ceremony in the presence of RSF’s Gaza correspondent, Ola Al Zaanoun, who testified about what it means to be a reporter in Gaza, a blockaded enclave where journalism has been stifled since the start of the war.
