On April 10–12, the IV All-Russian Youth Scientific and Practical Conference “Humanitarian Forum at the Polytechnic” was held, organized by the Humanitarian Institute of SPbPU. More than 500 representatives from 40 universities in Russia, Belarus, Armenia, and Kazakhstan took part in it. The conference discussed current issues in the fields of linguistics, international relations, pedagogy, psychology, jurisprudence, social communications, publishing, youth policy, etc.
Participants were treated to sectional sessions, scientific and interactive platforms, discussions, master classes and business games. Of great interest was the round table on the topic:
Philosophy and ideology are the basis of any science. The humanitarian component at our university is a serious support in education and youth policy. This allows us to graduate versatile specialists who have their own philosophy and ideology, who understand why they are doing their job. The future belongs to such specialists! – Maxim Pasholikov greeted the audience at the plenary session.
The topics of the plenary reports reflected the research of the past, present and future of our city. The VR session “Leningrad through the eyes of Tanya Savicheva”, organized by “Volunteers of Victory” and the Dobro.Center “Harmony” of SPbPU, was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and aimed at preserving the memory of the tragic events of the siege of Leningrad through the prism of children’s perception. In addition to the conference participants, the section was visited by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations of St. Petersburg Ivan Esipov.
The forum also included the School of Digital Linguistics, a two-day intensive course for those interested in modern approaches to language learning. The main organizers were representatives of SPbPU and SPbSU.
For students of grades 10-11 from the 406th gymnasium of the Pushkinsky district and the Mathematical school “LNMO” the event “Project activity: a game or a path to a profession” was held.
On the third day of the conference, participants joined the PRO.Humanitarian career track and a charity art master class, the proceeds of which will be used to help within the framework of the campaign
The Humanitarian Forum at the Polytechnic puts into practice the principle of interdisciplinary solidarity on issues of development and progress. The format of the forum is the format of open science in the interests of society, and next year the Polytechnic will be glad to see both the luminaries of science and students again.
