As the province’s highest honour, the Order recognizes exceptional service and achievement in a wide range of fields. It is part of the Canadian Honours System and celebrates individuals whose leadership, innovation and dedication have shaped Alberta’s identity and strengthened its future.
“Since 1979, the Alberta Order of Excellence has recognized individuals who have made transformative contributions to our province. I am very proud to extend this honour to these nine men and women, whose lives have had an immeasurable impact upon Alberta history and opened new opportunities for countless other Albertans.”
The Alberta Order of Excellence members to be invested in 2025 are:

- Geoff Cumming, Calgary
- John Day, Edmonton
- Brian Felesky, Calgary
- Stephanie Felesky, Calgary
- Nichole Neubauer, Medicine Hat
- Lyn Radford, Red Deer
- John Scott, Longview
- Doug Stollery, Edmonton
The investiture ceremony will be held in Edmonton in October. This will bring the total membership of the Alberta Order of Excellence to 229.
