CHANGSHA, June 14 (Xinhua) — A series of major citywide events were held in Changsha, central China’s Hunan Province, on Saturday to celebrate China’s Cultural and Natural Heritage Day this year.
During the opening ceremony, a selection of exemplary practices in cultural heritage preservation for 2024 was presented and outstanding projects for popularizing cultural heritage in new media in 2025 were announced.
The celebrations, which this year focused on the revival of cultural heritage, also included a forum on scientific and technological innovations in the field of cultural heritage conservation and an online exhibition of fine art heritage.
Along with the festive program in Changsha, more than 7,000 online and offline events have been organized across the country by local cultural heritage departments and institutions under the initiative of the National Cultural Heritage Administration of China. –0–
