ISTANBUL, June 21 (Xinhua) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Saturday that Türkiye is ready to do its part, including facilitating dialogue, to resolve the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.

As reported by the Turkish leader’s administration, R. T. Erdogan made this statement at a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is visiting Turkey to attend the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul.

During the conversation, R. T. Erdogan noted the importance of starting operational steps towards diplomacy by organizing negotiations between Iran and the United States at both the technical and high levels.

He stressed that the region could not withstand another war, calling for an immediate cessation of actions by Israel.

The Turkish president also emphasized that the solution to the Iranian nuclear issue should be achieved through diplomatic negotiations, adding that Türkiye is making various efforts in this regard. –0–
