A terminal station for buses and electric buses has opened in the west of the capital, near the Govorovo metro station. It will increase the efficiency of routes in nearby areas. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
“Today, there are more than 160 terminal stations in Moscow, 34 of which are equipped with infrastructure for electric buses. This has improved the working conditions of drivers and had a positive effect on the operation of routes. We are constantly improving the quality of passenger service on behalf of Sergei Sobyanin,” said Maxim Liksutov.
The new terminal station has two ultra-fast charging stations for electric buses. The building has separate rest rooms for men and women, places for lunch breaks, first aid stations, showers and toilets, as well as video surveillance and security systems.
Moscow is developing infrastructure for the efficient operation of ground urban transport. New terminal stations are constantly being built and existing ones are being modernized in the capital. Thanks to them, the equipment starts its route immediately in the required area – closer to passengers. The waiting time for buses and electric buses is reduced. Drivers do not need to waste time to get to the starting point of the route or return to the park for parking.
The fenced turnaround area gives drivers enough space to maneuver and get back on the line, without having to do it on the roadway. In addition, comfortable working conditions are created for drivers, because the safety of passengers depends on their well-being.
