Almost 3.8 thousand Muscovites from 26 old houses — half of all buildings included in the renovation program — have signed contracts for comfortable housing in new buildings in the Presnensky District. This was reported by Ekaterina Solovieva, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of City Property.
“In the Presnensky District, where the renovation program included 53 buildings, resettlement to new buildings has already affected residents of half of them – citizens from 26 old five-story buildings. Almost 3.8 thousand people received comfortable apartments here. In total, about 8.3 thousand Muscovites are planned to be resettled in the district, which is half of all participants in the renovation program in the Central Administrative District,” Ekaterina Solovyova specified.
New buildings under the renovation program were built with barrier-free access in mind. The courtyards were landscaped: playgrounds, sports grounds, and recreation areas were placed there. Shops, pharmacies, cafes, educational centers, and other necessary service enterprises and city organizations are opening on the ground floors of the new buildings.
“In the Presnensky District of the Central Administrative District, the city has built and handed over two new buildings for occupancy, which in total provide for about 1.8 thousand apartments with finished improved finishing. Elevators have been installed in the entrances, rooms for concierges and storage rooms for strollers and bicycles have been equipped. Comprehensive improvements have been carried out in the adjacent territories: trees and shrubs have been planted, video surveillance cameras and outdoor lighting have been installed,” clarified the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Urban Development Policy
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin said that the renovation program also included 131 sites for the construction of houses.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about a million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 houses. Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin ordered to increase the pace of implementation of the renovation program in twice.
Moscow is one of the leaders among regions in terms of construction volumes. High rates of housing construction correspond to the goals and initiatives of the national project “Infrastructure for life”.
