A book exhibition dedicated to the establishment and development of high-rise construction in Moscow has opened in the library of architects and urbanists. This was reported by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Urban Development Policy of the capital Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“The exhibition introduces the works of famous Moscow architects and touches on the almost century-long history of urban development. The new exhibition presents books dedicated to the history of the construction of Moscow high-rises. Of particular value is the fact that they were published during the years of their construction. Among them are the books “Construction of high-rise buildings in Moscow”, “Architecture and designs of high-rise buildings in Moscow” by Vyacheslav Oltarzhevsky, specialized books and magazines dedicated to the design of high-rise structures,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky.
The exhibition will be open until June 18.
Among the exhibits, you can find the works of architecture candidate Anatoly Magai, as well as biographies of architects – from Ivan Zarudny to Sergei Tchoban.
The scientific and technical library with specialized literature on urban studies, architecture, urban development and art in Russian and foreign languages appeared in 1930.
