Yerevan, June 7 /Xinhua/ — The next elections to the National Assembly /parliament/ of Armenia will be held on June 7, 2026, the speaker of the country’s legislative body Alen Simonyan announced on the social network Telegram on Saturday.
“Today is June 7. There is exactly one year left until the next elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. They will take place on June 7, 2026. The countdown has begun,” A. Simonyan wrote.
Armenia is a parliamentary republic. The country is led by a prime minister elected by parliamentarians. The current prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan, has held the post since 2018. –0–
