Xiang’an Int’l Airport under construction in Xiamen, China’s Fujian

An aerial drone photo taken on June 9, 2025 shows the construction site of Xiang’an International Airport in Xiamen, southeast China’s Fujian Province. The construction of the airport is expected to be completed by the end of this year. It will be put into operation by the end of 2026. By then, the airport will be able to meet the annual passenger throughput of 45 million people, cargo and mail throughput of 750,000 tonnes, and aircraft take-offs and landings of 380,000.
