Moscow, July 4 /Xinhua/ — The 31st session of the China-Russia Joint Border Commission was held in Moscow from July 1 to 2, co-chaired by Advisor to the Department of Border and Maritime Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Zhou Hongyou and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Kozlov.

The event was attended by representatives of foreign policy, defense, customs, water management and migration departments, as well as regional governments of the two countries.

The session was held in a friendly, frank and constructive atmosphere. The parties highly appreciated the development of bilateral relations and the progress of the implementation of the Agreement on the Regime of the Chinese-Russian State Border, and fully endorsed the clear and stable nature of the border between the two countries and the positive dynamics of the continuous deepening of cross-border cooperation in various fields.

The parties unanimously agreed to actively implement the agreements reached by the heads of the two states, continue to use the mechanism of the Joint Commission to strengthen border management and promote cross-border cooperation, contributing to the development of interstate relations.

Following the session, the parties signed the protocol of the 31st session of the Joint Chinese-Russian Border Commission. –0–
