BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhua) — Consul General of the Russian Federation in Shenyang Natalia Sergeyevna Pryzhkova recently visited the Changchun School of Foreign Languages (CSFL, Jilin Province, northeast China).

According to a message on the official WeChat account of the aforementioned educational institution, during the visit, negotiations took place between Consul General N. Pryzhkova and the school’s director Wang Hao.

On behalf of the school, Wang Hao warmly welcomed the guests and spoke in detail about the main areas of work of the educational institution, focusing in particular on the features and achievements in teaching the Russian language.

As the only school in Jilin Province that teaches Russian, CNIL teaches Russian from grades 7 to 12. Currently, 240 students are studying Russian.

CSIJ attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Russian educational institutions. As the relationship between China and Russia steadily strengthens, the school actively strives to further strengthen ties with Russian schools and deepen cooperation and exchanges with them.

Consul General N. Pryzhkova highly praised the school’s educational environment, rich in international exchange events, as well as the atmosphere conducive to learning. She expressed her readiness to provide the school with all possible support in establishing close ties with Russian educational institutions, facilitating regular exchanges between Chinese and Russian students.

After the talks, the delegation headed by the Consul General visited specialized Russian language classrooms, a student dormitory and the school history museum.
