Since 2022, with the support of the Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) initiative, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction Regional Office for Africa (UNDRR ROA) has been providing technical support, policy guidance and capacity building across sub-Saharan Africa to strengthen national and regional disaster risk management and early warning/early action systems.
