Specialists from the Rosneft Scientific Institute in Ufa have created a hardware and software simulator for training and practical development of skills in managing wells equipped with electric centrifugal pumps.
The training complex models the operation of submersible equipment, imitates and realistically reproduces the technological processes occurring in the well.
The development consists of a model of surface well equipment, software with multiple interactive pump operation scenarios, and an augmented reality module with AR glasses.
The program operates in the “training” and “exam” modes, which allow you to evaluate the quality of the exercises and record user errors. During the training, a help system, a virtual instructor, hints on the values of technological parameters and a set of documents necessary for theoretical training are available: regulations, instructions, etc.
An additional advantage is the opportunity to practice skills in selecting submersible equipment taking into account the individual characteristics of the well, production potential and the influence of external factors, which increases the efficiency of training specialists and reduces risks during actual operation.
Digitalization in all areas of activity is one of the key elements of Rosneft’s strategy. The use of digital technologies allows for faster decision-making throughout the entire production chain, increases transparency and efficiency of process management.
