Nasdaq Notification Regarding Minimum Bid Price Requirement

SINGAPORE, May 19, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Trident Digital Tech Holdings Ltd (“Trident” or the “Company,” NASDAQ: TDTH), a leading catalyst for digital transformation in technology optimization services and Web 3.0 activation based in Singapore, has received a notification letter, dated May 13, 2025, from the Listing Qualifications Department of The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (“Nasdaq”) notifying the Company that the minimum bid price per share of its securities was below $1.00 for a period of 32 consecutive business days and that the Company did not meet the minimum bid price requirement set forth in Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) (the “Minimum Bid Price Requirement”).

The notification letter has no immediate effect on the listing of the Company’s securities, and the Company’s securities continue to trade on Nasdaq under the symbol “TDTH”.

Pursuant to Nasdaq Listing Rule 5810(c)(3)(A), the Company has a compliance period of one hundred eighty (180) calendar days, or until November 10, 2025 (the “Compliance Period”), to regain compliance with Nasdaq’s Minimum Bid Price Requirement. If at any time during the Compliance Period, the closing bid price per share of the Company’s securities is at least $1.00 for a minimum of ten (10) consecutive business days, Nasdaq will provide the Company a written confirmation of compliance and the matter will be closed.

In the event the Company does not regain compliance by November 10, 2025, the Company may be eligible for an additional 180 calendar day grace period. To qualify, the Company will be required to meet the continued listing requirement for market value of publicly held shares and all other initial listing standards for the Nasdaq Capital Market, with the exception of the bid price requirement, and will need to provide written notice of its intention to cure the deficiency during the second compliance period, including by effecting a reverse stock split, if necessary.

The Company intends to monitor the closing bid price of its securities and will consider its options in order to regain compliance with the Minimum Bid Price Requirement.

Nasdaq Notification Regarding Minimum Market Value of Listed Securities

On May 13, 2025, the Company received a letter from Nasdaq indicating that, based upon the Company’s market value of listed securities (“MVLS”) for the 31 consecutive business day period from March 28, 2025 through May 12, 2025, the Company did not maintain the minimum MVLS of US$35,000,000 required for continued listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market pursuant to Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(b)(2). The Company will be afforded a period of 180 calendar days, or until November 10, 2025 (the “MVLS Compliance Period”), in which to regain compliance pursuant to Nasdaq Listing Rule 5810(c)(3)(C).

In order to regain compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum MVLS requirement, the minimum MVLS of the Company must meet or exceed US$35,000,000 for a minimum of ten consecutive business days during the MVLS Compliance Period. In the event the Company does not regain compliance by the end of the MVLS Compliance Period, the Company will receive written notification that its securities are subject to delisting, which the Company may appeal to a hearings panel.

The Company intends to continue to monitor its MVLS between now and November 10, 2025, and will consider the various options available to the Company if its listed securities do not trade at a level that is likely to regain compliance. There can be no assurance that the Company will be able to regain compliance with the MVLS requirement or maintain compliance with any of the other Nasdaq Capital Market continued listing requirements.

The foregoing letter has no immediate effect on the listing of the Company’s securities, which will continue to be listed and traded on Nasdaq under the symbol “TDTH”, subject to the Company’s compliance with the other continued listing requirements of the Nasdaq Capital Market.

  • MIL-OSI Asia-Pac: Driving licence renewals streamlined

    Source: Hong Kong Information Services

The Transport Department today announced that it will cease accepting paper applications for the renewal of Full Driving Licences (FDL) via the drop-in boxes at designated post offices from June 1 to enhance service efficiency.

At present, an FDL holder should renew the licence within four months before its expiry date or within three years after it has expired. An online renewal application can be submitted via GovHK, using an “iAM Smart+” account with the digital signing function or a valid personal digital certificate.

To remind and enable the public to renew their licence in time, the department will send by post the “FDL Renewal Notice & Application Form” (form TD 578) to licence holders around three months prior to its expiry, and a reminder (form TD 601) to those whose FDLs have expired for nearly three years and are yet to be renewed. Both forms are printed with a renewal password.

People may submit an online application using the renewal password and other personal information, including their identification document number, for authentication to complete renewal procedures.

If the applicant’s address has not changed within three months upon receipt of the Renewal Password, submission of address proof is not required during the online application process.

As of end-April, nearly half of FDL applicants have opted for online renewal, making it the most popular local e-licensing service after the International Driving Permit. The department therefore implements the service adjustment to make better use of public resources.

As for paper applications, the current arrangements for submission through the counters and drop-in boxes at the Transport Department’s Licensing Offices and by post remain unchanged.

  • Deeply concerned: PM Modi wishes Joe Biden a speedy recovery after prostate cancer diagnosis

    Source: Government of India

    Source: Government of India (4)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wished former U.S. President Joe Biden a fast and full recovery after it was revealed that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive prostate cancer.

Taking to the social media platform X, PM Modi said: “Deeply concerned to hear about Joe Biden’s health. Extend our best wishes to him for a quick and full recovery. Our thoughts are with Dr. Jill Biden and the family.”

Biden’s office, in a statement issued Sunday, revealed that the president had recently undergone a medical evaluation due to worsening urinary symptoms.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the statement said.

“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5), with metastasis to the bone,” it added.

Although the diagnosis indicates a severe form of the disease, Biden’s physicians noted that the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management.

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management,” the statement said. “The president and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Former U.S. President Donald Trump also commented on the diagnosis via his Truth Social platform:
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

The news has reignited political and public discussions around President Biden’s health.

President Biden lost his son, Beau Biden, to cancer in 2015, and has since championed cancer research initiatives—first as vice president under Barack Obama and later as president—through the Cancer Moonshot program.

  • Record 6.98 lakh Olive Ridley turtles protected by Indian Coast Guard’s ‘Operation Olivia’

    Source: Government of India

    Source: Government of India (4)

In a significant achievement for marine conservation, the Indian Coast Guard’s (ICG) annual initiative, Operation Olivia, has successfully protected over 6.98 lakh Olive Ridley turtles during their mass nesting at the Rushikulya river mouth in Odisha in February 2025.

Conducted each year from November to May, Operation Olivia plays a crucial role in safeguarding the endangered Olive Ridley turtles, particularly along Odisha’s coast, including Gahirmatha Beach — one of the world’s largest nesting grounds. These coastal stretches witness the arrival of more than eight lakh turtles annually.

This year’s record nesting at the Rushikulya river mouth is being hailed as a milestone, highlighting the effectiveness of the ICG’s sustained efforts. The operation involves round-the-clock patrolling, aerial surveillance, and close coordination with local stakeholders to protect the turtles during their breeding season.

Since the inception of the operation, the ICG has conducted over 5,387 surface patrol sorties and 1,768 aerial surveillance missions. These measures have led to a significant decline in threats such as illegal fishing and habitat disruption. Notably, 366 boats engaged in illegal fishing activities were detained, underscoring the ICG’s strong enforcement capabilities.

In addition to enforcement, the Coast Guard has actively collaborated with coastal communities, promoting the use of Turtle Excluder Devices (TEDs) in fishing nets and signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with NGOs to support conservation education and sustainable fishing practices.

Officials said this integrated approach has played a pivotal role in creating a safer and more sustainable environment for Olive Ridley turtles, whose conservation is key to maintaining marine biodiversity along India’s eastern coast.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Monday inaugurated a two-day capacity-building programme for Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Supervisors, and other election officials from Jharkhand at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM), New Delhi.

According to an official statement from the Election Commission of India (ECI), a total of 402 participants—including District Election Officers (DEOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), BLOs, and BLO Supervisors—are attending the training. Over the past three months, the Commission has trained more than 3,000 such election functionaries from across the country at IIIDEM.

In his address, CEC Gyanesh Kumar lauded the dedication and grassroots-level efforts of Jharkhand’s electoral officials, particularly in the area of voter enrolment. He also urged participants to enhance public awareness about the appellate provisions under Sections 24(a) and 24(b) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

These provisions allow electors to file first appeals with the District Magistrate, District Collector, or Executive Magistrate, and second appeals with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the respective State or Union Territory. Notably, no appeals were filed from Jharkhand following the Special Summary Revision (SSR) exercise held between January 6 and 10, reflecting the effectiveness of the preparatory work.

The training programme focuses on equipping participants with comprehensive knowledge of electoral laws, including the Representation of the People Acts of 1950 and 1951, the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, and updated instructions issued by the ECI.

The curriculum features interactive sessions, role plays, simulations of house-to-house surveys, and hands-on exercises for accurately filling Forms 6, 7, and 8. In addition, participants will receive practical training on the Voter Helpline App (VHA) and various IT tools used in electoral management. Demonstrations on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs), and mock poll procedures are also part of the programme.

  • US Vice President meets Pope Leo, an American known for past criticism of Trump

    Source: Government of India

    Source: Government of India (4)

Pope Leo XIV, a U.S. citizen who as a cardinal criticised the Trump administration’s hard-line immigration policies, met at the Vatican on Monday with U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who converted to Roman Catholicism as an adult.

A Vatican readout confirmed that Vance and Leo had met but offered no details about their discussions. A Vance spokesperson said they met one-on-one before being joined by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is also Catholic.

Vatican handout photos showed Vance and Rubio smiling as they were seated across from Leo at the pope’s official desk in the Vatican’s apostolic palace.

Leo, the Chicago-born former Cardinal Robert Prevost, is a relative unknown on the global stage, elected as the new pope on May 8.

While a cardinal, he issued several disapproving posts about the administration’s policies on his X account, reflecting his concern about migrants. The Vatican has not confirmed or denied that the posts were authentic.

The late Pope Francis, who died on April 21, was a champion of the poor and of immigrants who frequently criticised the Trump administration. He called Trump’s plan to deport millions of migrants a “disgrace” and rebuked Vance for arguing that the bible calls on Christians to prioritise love for their families and countrymen over strangers and foreigners.

Vance met briefly with Francis on Easter Sunday, the day before the pontiff died.

Vance and Rubio have been in Rome to lead the U.S. delegation at Leo’s inaugural Mass as pope, held on Sunday among crowds of an estimated 200,000 people in St. Peter’s Square.

After meeting Leo, Vance met on Monday with officials at the Vatican’s Secretariat of State, the Church’s top diplomatic office. A Vatican readout called those talks “cordial”.

“There was an exchange of views on some current international issues, calling for respect for humanitarian law and international law in areas of conflict and for a negotiated solution between the parties involved,” it said.

  • MIL-OSI NGOs: Yemen: US air strike that has left dozens of migrants dead must be investigated

    Source: Amnesty International –

A US air strike on a migrant detention centre in Sa’ada, north-western Yemen on 28 April killed and injured dozens of migrants and must be investigated as a violation of international humanitarian law, said Amnesty International today, amid reports that hundreds of people have been killed and injured as a result of US air strikes on Yemen since March 2025.

According to satellite imagery analysis, the US attacks carried out on Sa’ada prison compound struck the migrant detention centre and another building on the site.

Amnesty International spoke with three individuals who work with African migrant and refugee communities in Yemen.  Two of them, who had visited the migrant detention centre as well as two nearby hospitals, and their morgues in the aftermath of the air strike, confirmed witnessing evidence of a high number of casualties.  The organization also analysed satellite imagery and video footage of horrific scenes showing migrants’ bodies strewn across rubble and rescuers trying to pull badly wounded survivors from the debris.

“The US attacked a well-known detention facility where the Huthis have been detaining migrants who had no means to take shelter. The major loss of civilian life in this attack raises serious concerns about whether the US complied with its obligations under international humanitarian law, including the rules on distinction and precautions,” said Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s Secretary General.

“The US must conduct a prompt, independent and transparent investigation into this air strike and into any other air strikes that have resulted in civilian casualties as well as those where the rules of international humanitarian law may have been violated.”

The major loss of civilian life in this attack raises serious concerns about whether the US complied with its obligations under international humanitarian law, including the rules on distinction and precautions,

Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s Secretary General

Witnesses who visited the Republican hospital and al Talh General hospital in Sa’ada, told Amnesty International they saw more than two dozen Ethiopian migrants who sustained injuries including severe amputations and fractures. They also said that the morgues at the hospitals ran out of space to receive dead bodies, so casualties received from the air strike had to be stacked outside. The ICRC, whose staff were at the site in the immediate aftermath of the attack, also confirmed in a statement a high number of casualties, many of whom were migrants.

Under international humanitarian law attacking forces have an obligation to do everything feasible to distinguish between military and civilian targets, to verify whether their intended target is a military objective and to cancel an attack if there is doubt.  When attacking a military objective, parties to a conflict must also take all feasible precautions to minimise harm to civilians in the vicinity.

If civilian harm is found to have occurred, victims and their families should receive full reparation for violations of international humanitarian law. Furthermore, if investigations find that there were direct attacks on civilians and civilian objects or indiscriminate attacks striking military targets and civilians without distinction and which killed or injured civilians, they should be investigated and treated as violations of internation law and potential war crimes.

Amnesty International’s arms experts analysed photos of the remnants of the weapons used in the attack and identified fragments of at least two 250 pound precision-guided GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs. US Central Command did not announce the target of the attack but a US defense official said they were assessing “claims” of civilian casualties in the strike, and conducting “our battle-damage assessment”. This assessment, including any conclusions related to civilian harm and efforts to respond to it, should promptly be made public.

Satellite imagery showing Sa’ada prison compound before the US air strike © 2025 Planet Labs PBC
Satellite imagery showing the site after the US air strike © 2025 Planet Labs PBC

The US should have known Sa’ada prison was a detention facility, that has been used for years by the Huthis to detain migrants and that it was regularly visited by ICRC. They should also have known that any aerial attack could result in significant civilian harm.

Amnesty also recalls that another detention facility within the same Sa’ada prison compound was hit by a Saudi-led coalition air strike on 21 January 2022, using a US-made precision guided munition, killing more than 90 detainees and injuring dozens. According to satellite imagery, since that strike in 2022 the Huthi de facto authorities have constructed additional buildings at that location, one of which was also struck on 28 April.

Amnesty International was unable to conclusively identify a legitimate military target within the Sa’ada prison compound. Restrictions by the Huthi de facto authorities on independent investigations, including access to the second location struck on 28 April, limit our ability to fully investigate the attack, or to rule out the possibility that there were military objectives within the prison compound. Any attack that fails to distinguish between civilians and civilian objects on the one hand, and legitimate military targets on the other, even within the same compound, constitutes an indiscriminate attack and a violation of international humanitarian law.

‘Shock and horror on their faces’

Amnesty International analysed dozens of videos and photos published by Huthi al Masira TV channel in addition to seven videos privately shared by one witness. This digital evidence showing bodies scattered in the rubble points to dozens of civilian migrant deaths and injuries in the air strike on the detention centre.

The Huthi-run Ministry of Interior stated that, at the time of the attack, the detention facility was holding 115 African migrant detainees, of whom 68 were killed and 47 were injured.  If this number of casualties proves accurate, it would be the worst case of civilian harm in a single incident by the US military since an air strike in Mosul, Iraq in 2017.

Amnesty International could not independently verify the death toll, nor speak to survivors or medical workers, due to the Huthis’ ongoing crackdown on civic space. Huthi officials have issued several statements and directives prohibiting people from sharing names, photos, or any information related to the US air strikes’ casualties on social media and other public platforms. Multiple people said they were afraid to speak out of fear of reprisal. In recent years, aid workers, journalists and activists have been detained by the Huthis and accused of espionage.

Despite this, Amnesty International was able to speak, on condition of anonymity, with three individuals working with African migrant and refugee communities who said that all the migrant detainees held at this detention centre were Ethiopian, with the exception of one Eritrean.

One witness said he saw 25 injured migrants in the Republican hospital and nine in Al Talh General hospital in Sa’ada: “They suffered from different fractures and bruises. Some were in critical condition and two had amputated legs… The morgue in the Republican hospital was overwhelmed and there was no place left for tens of corpses that were still left outside the morgue for the second day.”

Another witness who visited both hospitals and spoke to dozens of the injured Ethiopian migrants said:

“They told me they were sleeping when they were hit with the first missile at around 4 a.m. in the morning (…) They said they woke up to find dismembered bodies around them. You could see the shock and horror on their faces. Some were still unable to speak because of the trauma.”

On 27 April, a day before the attack, US Central Command announced it had struck over 800 targets in Yemen since 15 March and that they were intentionally limiting disclosing information about their operations for reasons of operational security.

US Congress should ensure ongoing efforts to mitigate civilian harm

Critical systems put in place in recent years building on work started under the first Trump Administration to reduce and better respond to civilian harm caused by US lethal actions abroad are under threat by the current Trump Administration. News outlets have reported that programs at the Defense Department focused on civilian harm mitigation and response are being gutted, and that the US President has rolled back constraints on commanders authorizing certain types of air strikes and special operations.  It has also been reported that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth fired the top military lawyers responsible for ensuring compliance with international humanitarian law in military operations.

“At a time when the US appears to be shrinking efforts aimed at reducing civilian harm by US lethal actions, the US Congress should play its oversight role and demand information on investigations to date on these strikes. Congress must further ensure that civilian harm mitigation and response mechanisms remain intact and robustly respond to this and other recent incidents,” said Agnès Callamard.

    Background

Between November 2023 and January 2025, Huthi armed forces have targeted at least 74 commercial and military vessels in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean, which they claimed were linked to Israel, the USA or the UK.

US President Joe Biden began air strikes against the Huthis in 2024. The new wave of US strikes under the Trump Administration started on 15 March 2025 after the Huthis announced on 11 March that they would resume attacks on Israeli ships passing through the Red and Arabian seas in response to Israel blocking aid into the occupied Gaza Strip.

Since 15 March, the Huthis have launched missiles and drones at the USS Harry S. Truman, an aircraft carrier stationed in the Red Sea. They have also resumed their attacks on Israel, striking near Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport on 4 May. Israel retaliated in May with air strikes including on Hodeidah port and Sana’a airport.

On 6 May, the US announced it was ending its military campaign against the Huthis in Yemen.

Maritime trade is of critical importance to the economies of Asia. With Singapore positioned at the heart of major global shipping routes, the need for security at the Straits remains a top priority for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

On 28 March 2025, Thales was awarded a contract through ST Engineering (STE) to provide the Republic of Singapore Navy with a Mine Counter Measures system, Pathmaster, which includes the M-Cube mission management system and TSAS towed sonars combined with the MiMap sonar data analysis tool, which will be fitted on ST Engineering’s unmanned surface vehicle.

Thales will also provide tools to manage mine databases and library. These will be reinforced with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to facilitate target detection and identification, easing the workload of operators. The system will be supported by the Thales Singapore Defence Hub for maintenance and service and to develop compatible applications that can seamlessly interface with the RSN’s systems.

As seas become increasingly congested and navies face unexpected threats and challenges, mine countermeasures have become a key discipline to ensure the sovereignty and safety of Singapore’s sea lines of communication. The intelligent system is renowned for its incomparable level of detection and low false alarm rate. The Thales Pathmaster solution is the world’s first sea-proven system and is currently already in service with the British Royal Navy and the French Navy, under the Maritime Mine Countermeasure (MMCM) programme. This contract is the first Pathmaster contract for Thales in Asia.

“This latest contract award reflects the trust that the Republic of Singapore Navy places in Thales’ naval technologies. The Pathmaster system represents a significant step in the RSN’s vision for an autonomous system of systems, offering enhanced operational capabilities while reinforcing the safety of their personnel. As the first Pathmaster system in the Asian region, Thales strengthens its position as a key supplier to the Navy, addressing the operational needs of the navy in this area. Having successfully delivered multiple radars for major vessel programs in the past, today we are excited to take it a step further to ensure that Singapore stays at the forefront of mine warfare in the region, safeguarding the nation’s maritime routes.” Sébastien Gueremy, VP Underwater Systems, Thales.

The visiting module of the MBA program of the Higher School of Business of the National Research University Higher School of Economics was successfully held in Shanghai. It was attended by 94 students: top managers of large Russian companies, entrepreneurs, heads of departments of state-owned companies.

The module was organized jointly with Fudan University, one of the leading centers of business education in Asia. The university is among the best universities in China and Asia, widely recognized for its high level of teaching, quality of scientific research and international programs in the field of economics and management.

The theoretical part of the module covered key aspects of the economy and business of modern China. The classes were taught by Fudan University lecturers – recognized experts in their fields, experienced specialists who are engaged in research projects in the areas of global and digital economy, fintech, corporate governance, blockchain technologies, big data and cybersecurity. Many of them are graduates of leading universities around the world, publish in authoritative scientific journals and actively consult businesses and government agencies. During the week, they immersed listeners in the specifics of the financial system of the PRC, discussed challenges to the country’s competitiveness in the international arena, compared approaches to the digital transformation of industry in China and in other countries.

The practical part of the program was no less interesting and important for the audience. The organizers of the module offered a rich plan of visits to leading Chinese companies from key industries. Among them were COSCO Shipping, one of the world’s largest operators in the field of maritime logistics; NIO Inc, a developer and manufacturer of intelligent electric vehicles and autonomous driving technologies; SAIC Motor, a Chinese automobile manufacturing corporation actively working in the direction of new energy sources and autonomous transport.

According to the manager MBA programs Vladimir Koptsev, Higher School of Business at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, international modules allow students not only to expand their professional horizons, but also to see key global economies in dynamics.

    Koptsev Vladimir Sergeevich

Head of the MBA program at the Higher School of Business, National Research University Higher School of Economics

Today, China is not just an important player, but one of the world’s leading economies, influencing global processes in business, finance and technology. It is fundamentally important for us that students are not limited to theory, but personally come into contact with this reality: through visits to companies, dialogue with experts and direct immersion in the country’s economic environment.

The reaction of the participants of the visiting module themselves is indicative; they saw from the inside how the economy of one of the largest and rapidly developing countries in the world functions, and what management models are used by business leaders of the PRC.

“Shanghai exceeded all expectations – it is a truly technologically advanced metropolis. I especially remember the lectures with Chinese professors about how the country became a global technological leader in 40 years. I was amazed by the number of electric cars – about 80% of cars on the roads, thanks to which the city of its size remains surprisingly quiet. A visit to a robotics company left a great impression. And, of course, it was nice to meet MBA students from parallel groups. I would like to separately thank the HSE Graduate School of Business for organizing the module at such a prestigious university as Fudan, and for the excellent organization of visits to leading Chinese enterprises. This trip will be remembered for a long time – a lot of new knowledge and vivid emotions!” – assessed the results Sergey Bespalov, Manager of Consulting in the field of production and operational management, Accenture AG, Zurich, Switzerland.

The Chinese partners highly appreciated the cooperation with the HSE Graduate School of Business: “We are sincerely glad that the students not only visited Fudan University, but also benefited from this intercultural exchange. I hope that our program opened up new perspectives for the students, contributed to the development of their communication skills and broadened their horizons. We tried to tell as much as possible about the economic and cultural characteristics of China and demonstrate them during visits to various companies. We hope to continue fruitful cooperation with the HSE Graduate School of Business in the future, so that we can host MBA students within the walls of our university more than once,” Shuang Zhang, Manager of International Programs at Fudan University.

Upon completion of the module, all students MBA programs received an official certificate from Fudan University confirming their participation and academic achievements.

  • MIL-OSI United Kingdom: Major investment partnership worth £24 billion to transform key growth sectors and deliver affordable housing across UK

Source: United Kingdom – Executive Government & Departments 3

    Press release

Major investment partnership worth £24 billion to transform key growth sectors and deliver affordable housing across UK

A major new partnership between the Crown Estate and Lendlease has been agreed which will unlock housing and science innovation hubs across the UK worth £24 billion.

    • Joint venture between The Crown Estate and Lendlease will unlock housing and science innovation hubs across the UK worth £24 billion.

    • Major investment pipeline includes land portfolio with the potential to build 26,000 new homes, with around one-third allocated to affordable housing – supporting the government’s aim to build 1.5 million new homes by 2029.

    • Pipeline also includes plans to build vast new office space and labs, creating 100,000 new jobs across the country, boosting economic growth and delivering on the Plan for Change.

Major new partnership from the Crown Estate and Lendlease with a Gross Development Value (GDV) of £24 billion will develop housing and science and innovation hubs and help create 100,000 new jobs and 26,000 new homes, backing the Government’s Plan for Change.

The joint venture allows The Crown Estate to invest in Lendlease’s undeveloped UK land and land management portfolio, providing support on existing projects, helping to transform the UK’s science, tech and innovation sectors and deliver new housing.

The projects have the potential to deliver around 10 million square feet of workspace and labs, and deliver vital investment in digital and technologies and the life sciences sectors – two of the key growth sectors in the government’s upcoming modern Industrial Strategy.

The pipeline is also hoped to deliver over 26,000 new homes for people across the country – of which a third are expected to be affordable housing – backing this Government’s plans to build 1.5 million new homes and get Britain building again as part of the Plan for Change.

In support of the partnership, the Chancellor and Minister for Investment met with Lendlease’s Group CEO Tony Lombardo and Dan Labbad, CEO of The Crown Estate in Downing Street

Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves said:

We are pulling every lever to grow our economy so we can put more money in people’s pockets, boost home ownership and make Britain a global hub for life sciences through our Plan for Change.

This includes creating the right environment for organisations like The Crown Estate and Lendlease to partner, helping us to unlock capital to get Britain building and get Britain growing.

Minister for Investment Baroness Gustafsson CBE said:

This is yet another strong endorsement of the UK’s investment environment and our thriving real estate sector as this government has committed to get Britain building again, a crucial part of delivering our Plan for Change.

This pipeline and the creation of additional research labs across the UK, will be a massive boost for our world-leading science, innovation and technology sectors, all key growth sectors in our upcoming modern Industrial Strategy.”

The government’s upcoming modern Industrial Strategy will make doing business quicker, easier and more profitable than ever before. Its 10-year plan will provide business with the certainty they need to invest and innovate in the growth-driving sectors that will shape the UK’s economy, drive regional development, enhance living standards and create high quality jobs.

Businesses have identified that inadequate infrastructure has impacted the growth of UK firms, with the UK suffering from a chronic lack of lab space compared to other leading global hubs, but this pipeline will ensure high-growth sectors have the lab space, transport and housing they need.

If the life sciences real estate markets of Cambridge, Oxford and London were to match their US counterparts by 2035, it could mean 67,000 more high-skilled, high-wage jobs and £4bn a year in additional GVA.

Areas poised for office and housing development include around Euston Station, Silvertown and Thamesmead Waterfront in London, as well as Smithfield in Birmingham.

The joint venture will provide a substantial boost to the UK’s thriving tech ecosystem, which is the third biggest in the world and worth more than £1 trillion.

Group CEO of Lendlease Tony Lombardo said:

This landmark partnership between our two organisations will combine our shared expertise in delivering city shaping precincts and creating long-term benefits for communities.

As master developer, we look forward to working with The Crown Estate to unlock value within our UK development portfolio, for partners, government clients and our securityholders.

Dan Labbad, Chief Executive of The Crown Estate, said:

With strong support from local and national government, we look forward to working with Lendlease and others to realise the potential of these projects to create jobs, stimulate growth and positively impact lives, while also generating income for the UK.

As a country, we face challenges to unlocking growth. To support this, we need to spark investment in sectors like science, technology, and housing, alongside deep collaboration across communities, government, and the private sector. This joint venture is an example of how The Crown Estate is harnessing its mandate to act in the UK’s long-term national interest, supported by new investment powers, and stepping up its ambition to support inclusive growth for the nation.”

Since entering office, the government has been focused on restoring economic stability – the foundation of growth – to give businesses the confidence to invest and expand in the UK. Today’s announcement demonstrates how confidence in the UK’s investment environment translates to real jobs and growth for local communities.

This major announcement comes due to the Crown Estate Act 2025 which increased The Crown Estate’s powers to unlock further investment, kickstarting growth and generating greater returns for the public purse whilst benefitting public services across the UK.

    Notes to editors:

    • The Crown Estate has a diverse £16 billion portfolio that includes urban centres and development opportunities; one of the largest rural holdings in the country; Regent Street and St James’s in London’s West End; and Windsor Great Park. They also manage the seabed and much of the coastline around England, Wales and Northern Ireland, playing a major role in the UK’s world leading offshore wind sector.

    • Lendlease is an integrated real estate group. Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, it is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. Its core capabilities are reflected in the operating segments of investments, development and construction, and providing a sustainable competitive advantage in delivering innovative integrated solutions for its customers.

  • MIL-OSI Asia-Pac: TD ceases accepting paper applications for driving licence renewal via drop-in boxes at post offices from June 1

Source: Hong Kong Government special administrative region

The Transport Department (TD) announced today (May 19) that, in view of the persistently low usage of drop-in boxes at designated post offices and the convenience of streamlined online services, it will cease accepting paper applications for Full Driving Licence (FDL) renewal via these drop-in boxes at post offices from June 1 to consolidate resources and enhance service efficiency. The TD encourages the public to make good use of the more convenient and expeditious online renewal services.

At present, an FDL holder should renew the FDL within four months before its expiry date or within three years after it has expired. Members of the public may submit an online renewal application via GovHK using their “iAM Smart+” account with the digital signing function or a valid personal digital certificate.

In addition, to remind and enable the public to renew the FDL in time, the TD will send by post the “FDL Renewal Notice cum Application Form” (form TD 578) to FDL holders around three months prior to its expiry, and another reminder (form TD 601) to those whose FDLs have expired for nearly three years and are yet to be renewed. Both are printed with a Renewal Password. Members of the public may submit an online application using the Renewal Password and other personal information including their identification document number for authentication to complete renewal procedures conveniently. If the applicant’s address has not changed within three months upon receipt of the Renewal Password, submission of address proof is not needed during the online application process, further streamlining the procedures.

As of end-April 2025, nearly half of the FDL applicants had opted for online renewal, making it the most popular local e-licensing service after the International Driving Permit, showing the public’s gradual shift from paper to online applications. The TD therefore implements the above service adjustment to make better use of public resources.

The TD encourages the public to make good use of online applications to enjoy the convenience of e-services. As for paper applications, the current arrangements for submission through the counters and drop-in boxes at the TD’s Licensing Offices as well as by post remain unchanged. The public may refer to the TD’s website for details of FDL renewal.

In “Dream Lovers” (1986), Chow Yun-fat and Brigitte Lin play a married couple in the Qin dynasty in their past lives. When they meet again at a terra-cotta army exhibition after reincarnations, their romance descends into a love triangle involving the fiancée of Chow’s character in his current life, presenting a time-spanning love story.

“The Myth” (2005) is also a love story linking different eras. Co-directed by Alan Mak and Felix Chong, “The Lost Bladesman” skillfully depicts Guan Yu, played by Donnie Yen, as a tragic hero through the story between Guan and Cao Cao, played by Jiang Wen, when Guan is captured by Cao.

In “Red Cliff” (2008) and “Red Cliff II” (2009), director John Woo brings the Battle of Red Cliffs, a watershed moment that sets the stage for the Three Kingdoms period, to the silver screen. Staring Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Chang Chen and Zhang Fengyi, the films bring to life this legendary battle with the distinctive action choreography by Corey Yuen and spectacular sound designs and visual effects.

  • MIL-OSI Asia-Pac: Composite Interest Rate: End of April 2025

Source: Hong Kong Government special administrative region

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced today (May 19) the composite interest rate at the end of April 2025 (Note 1).

The composite interest rate, which is a measure of the average cost of funds of banks, decreased by 5 basis points to 2.02 per cent at the end of April 2025, from 2.07 per cent at the end of March 2025 (see Chart 1 in the Annex). The decrease in composite interest rate reflected the decreases in the weighted funding cost for deposits during the month (see Chart 2 in the Annex) (Note 2).

The historical data of the composite interest rate from the end of the fourth quarter of 2003 to the end of April 2025 are available in the Monthly Statistical Bulletin on the HKMA website (www.hkma.gov.hk).

Note 1: The composite interest rate is a weighted average interest rate of all Hong Kong dollar interest-rate-sensitive liabilities, which include deposits from customers, amounts due to banks, negotiable certificates of deposit and other debt instruments, and all other liabilities that do not involve any formal payment of interest but the values of which are sensitive to interest rate movements (such as Hong Kong dollar non-interest bearing demand deposits) on the books of banks. Data from retail banks, which account for about 90 per cent of the total customers’ deposits in the banking sector, are used in the calculation. It should be noted that the composite interest rate represents only average interest expenses. There are various other costs involved in the making of a loan, such as operating costs (e.g. staff and rental expenses), credit cost and hedging cost, which are not covered by the composite interest rate.

Note 2: Since June 2019, the composite interest rate and weighted deposit rate have been calculated based on the new local “Interest rate risk in the banking book” (IRRBB) framework. As such, these figures are not strictly comparable with those of previous months.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendra (PMDK) in Kota, Rajasthan, and distributed assistive devices to differently abled beneficiaries, bringing smiles and a renewed sense of hope to many.

Addressing the gathering, Birla said, “The launch of the Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendra in Kota will significantly benefit persons with disabilities. These assistive devices will not only enhance their mobility but also help them lead more self-reliant lives. They no longer need to depend on others—this initiative is a step toward empowerment and dignity.”

The event saw the distribution of various aids designed to meet individual needs. Recipients expressed gratitude and shared their joy at the life-changing support. “I feel like I’ve been reborn,” said Surendra, a beneficiary. “Earlier, we felt helpless. Now, I believe I can do anything.”

Zakir Hussain shared a similar sentiment: “We faced many challenges before, but now things are much easier.” Another recipient, beaming with pride, said, “Thanks to PM Modi and Om Birla. Earlier, travelling was difficult, but this electric scooter has changed everything.”

Rajesh, another beneficiary, added, “Now we can move around independently without feeling like a burden. I thank the government for this invaluable support.”

The PMDK initiative, spearheaded by Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO)—a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment—seeks to provide high-quality, affordable assistive devices to senior citizens and people with disabilities.

Currently, 45 PMDKs are operational across various states and Union Territories, with a target of 100 centres by June.

The newly inaugurated centre in Kota focuses particularly on serving visually impaired individuals and offers a comprehensive range of services, including advanced rehabilitation technologies such as prosthetics, orthotics, Braille appliances, and mobility aids. The centre also promotes skill development through vocational training programmes aimed at fostering employment and entrepreneurship.

Operation Sindoor Was A Remarkable Retaliation, Befitting Our Ethos Of Peace And Tranquility To The Barbarity That Happened At Pahalgam, Says VP
Vice-President Addressed The Annual Convocation Of Jaipuria Institute Of Management In New Delhi

The Vice-President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar today said, “Can we afford to empower countries that are inimical to our interests? Time has come when each one of us must deeply think about economic nationalism,” he said. He emphasized that, “We no longer can afford, by travel or import, to improve the economies of those countries because of our participation. And those countries, in times of crisis, are positioned against us.”

    https://twitter.com/VPIndia/status/1923650435002359975

Addressing the Annual Convocation of Jaipuria Institute of Management at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, today, Shri Dhankhar said, “Every individual is empowered to help the nation in security. Trade, business, commerce, and industry in particular can play a pivotal role in security issues. Therefore I firmly believe that we must always keep one thing in mind, and that is: Nation first. Everything has to be reckoned on the fulcrum of deep commitment, unflinching commitment, dedication to nationalism. And that mindset we must teach our toddlers right from day one.”

    https://twitter.com/VPIndia/status/1923643506263728383

He also lauded the ongoing Operation Sindoor and paid tribute to India’s Armed Forces. “I must, on this occasion—since I am addressing youth of the country in particular—offer my salutations to all Armed Forces and the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the remarkable success of the ongoing Operation Sindoor.”

Calling the operation a befitting response to the barbaric attack at Pahalgam, he added, “It was a remarkable retaliation, befitting our ethos of peace and tranquility to the barbarity that happened at Pahalgam—the deadliest attack on our civilians since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The Prime Minister of this country, Shri Narendra Modi, sent a message from India’s heartland of Bihar to the entire global fraternity. Those were not empty words. The world now has realized: what is said is reality. “No one is asking for proof now. The world has seen and acknowledged. We have seen this saga—how that country is deeply engrossed in terrorism. “When coffins are taken with armed forces and military power and political power accompanying them, justice is done by Bharat to Sindoor in sublimity.”

Shri Dhankhar affirmed that a new standard has been set in India’s counterterrorism efforts. “In the mechanics of war and the fight against terrorism, a new benchmark has been set. Indian Armed Forces targeted Jaish-e-Mohammed at Bahawalpur, deep inside Pakistan territory. Beyond the international border—headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed, also Lashkar-e-Taiba base, Muridke. No one is asking for proof now. No one is asking for it. The world has seen and acknowledged.”

He further added, “It is India’s deepest ever cross-border strike. Strike that was carefully, precisely calibrated to cause no damage except to the terrorist.”

Shri Dhankhar recalled the U.S. operation on May 2nd, 2011. “This happened on May 2nd, 2011, when a global terrorist who planned, supervised, executed the September 11 attack inside the US in 2001. He was dealt with by the US similarly. Bharat has done it and done it to the knowledge of the global community.”

Reflecting on India’s civilisational uniqueness, Shri Dhankhar noted, “We as a nation are unique. No nation in the world can take pride in having 5,000 years of civilisational ethos. We need to bridge, not breach, the divide between the East and the West.”

Shri Dhankhar said, “How can we countenance or overlook narratives that are anti-national? Foreign universities coming to this country is something which requires filtration. It requires deep thinking. It is something we have to be extremely careful about.”

On education and research, the Vice-President cautioned against commercialization. “This country cannot afford commercialisation and commodification of education. It is undeniable, it is present. Education and health as per our civilization ethos are not areas to make money. These are areas to give back to society. We have to discharge our obligation to society.”

Calling upon industry leaders, he stressed the importance of research. “Educational institutions must be fully funded by corporates. CSR funds must take priority because investment in research is fundamental.”

He concluded with a powerful reminder: “Gone are the days when we could wait for others to develop technology. If we do that, we are handicapped right from the beginning, we must avoid that.”

Shri Sharad Jaipuria, Chairman, Board of Governors, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Smt. Anjali Jaipuria, Spouse of Chairman, Board of Governors, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Shri Shreevats Jaipuria, Vice Chairman, Jaipuria Institute of Management and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

  • MIL-OSI: Gate Introduces Brand New Domain Gate.com and Brand Logo, Advancing Toward the “Next-Generation Crypto Exchange”

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

PANAMA CITY, May 19, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Gate, a global leading cryptocurrency trading platform, has officially adopted the new international domain Gate.com and unveiled a redesigned brand logo, marking a significant milestone in the platform’s evolution. This strategic move aims to unify brand identity, strengthen global presence, and enhance user trust, heralding a new chapter in Gate’s development. The upgrade follows Gate’s 12th anniversary celebrations and aligns closely with the platform’s newly articulated vision, unveiled at its global event in Dubai, to become the “next-generation crypto exchange”. It signifies a transformative leap from industry leadership to innovation leadership, and from technical excellence to global strategic expansion.

Previously, Gate also adopted a new Chinese name “Damen” ( 大门, meaning “The Gate”), symbolizing an open gateway to the future of crypto for users worldwide. The unified refresh of domain and logo reflects the platform’s commitment to inclusivity and signals the beginning of a new chapter in building a trusted, globally connected crypto ecosystem.

Brand Refresh: From Visual Upgrade to Strategic Evolution

As a pioneer in the crypto industry, Gate has focused on building a secure, compliant, and innovative digital asset trading ecosystem since its founding in 2013. Today, the platform serves over 23 million users worldwide, supports trading in over 3,800 cryptocurrencies across spot, futures, leverage, and financial products, ranking Top 3 globally by comprehensive strength. It was also among the first exchanges to implement zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology to verify reserve transparency, ensuring 100% verifiability of platform assets. According to its latest proof-of-reserves report, Gate’s total reserves exceed $10.865 billion, with a reserve ratio of 128.57%.

This brand overhaul not only elevates Gate’s visual identity but also marks a critical step in its global outreach strategy. The new domain Gate.com is concise, highly recognizable, and globally intuitive, enhancing user perception of the platform’s professionalism and credibility. The newly designed logo adopts a modern, minimalist aesthetic that encapsulates Gate’s core principles of “trust as the foundation”, “technological innovation”, and “continuous evolution”, representing a comprehensive upgrade in technology, ecosystem, and compliance.

In addition, Gate Group’s global platform Gate, along with all its locally licensed entities, Gate Japan, Gate Dubai, and Gate Europe, will adopt the unified brand name “Gate”. The brand upgrade presents a cohesive global identity and further strengthens Gate’s professional image and international influence as a leading global exchange.

Strategic Leap: Building the “Next-Generation Crypto Exchange”

Beneath the surface of this brand transformation lies a bolder strategic ambition. On April 30, at Gate’s 12th Anniversary Global Celebration in Dubai, Founder and CEO Dr. Han introduced the vision to build the “next-generation crypto exchange”. Former NZ Associate Minister Of Foreign Affairs, Hon Matt Robson, has called on the New Zealand Government to uphold International Law.

“New Zealand prides itself on being in the forefront of countries supporting the international rule of law and not the international rule of might ”, said former Associate Foreign Minister in the Helen Clark government, the Hon Matt Robson.

“To uphold this principled position Foreign Minister, the Hon Winston Peters, must strongly condemn the US action of placing Cuba on its “List of Non-Cooperative Terrorism countries.

“This illegal act is a further breach of international law alongside the ever-tightening unilateral sanctions on Cuba, in place since 1960, which have been condemned as illegal by an overwhelming vote in the UN General Assembly, including that of New Zealand vote” said the Hon Matt Robson.

“Cuba is recognised by the UN for its commitment to anti-terrorism measures. The irony is that it has been the United States that has supported terrorism against Cuba from the attempted assassination of its leaders, military invasions ,economic sabotage to the bombing of a Cuban airliner and protection in the US of the culprits.”

“Cuba is renowned not for terrorism but for sending medical professionals to the poorest countries of the world since 1960, training doctors in Cuba from those countries, including many from Pacific nations, and during Covid providing specialist health personnel, including to developed Italy , to world acclaim”.

“The Hon Winston Peters should place New Zealand on the side of the vast majority of countries supporting international law and condemn the United States for its illegal persecution of a developing country,” Hon Matt Robson said.

Source: Hong Kong Government special administrative region

The Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, met with the Minister of the General Administration of Customs, Ms Sun Meijun, at Government House today (May 19) to exchange views on strengthening enforcement and co-operation between Hong Kong and Mainland Customs. Also attending the meeting were the Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan; the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau; the Acting Secretary for Security, Mr Michael Cheuk; the Director of the Chief Executive’s Office, Ms Carol Yip; and the Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Mr Chan Tsz-tat.

Mr Lee welcomed Ms Sun and her delegation to Hong Kong to attend the World Customs Organization (WCO) Asia/Pacific Regional Heads of Customs Administrations Conference. He expressed his gratitude to the General Administration of Customs for supporting the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department in its bid for the Vice-Chairperson for the Asia/Pacific region of the WCO (2024-2026), which was elected in June last year. Such an election not only reflects the support of the country and the Asia-Pacific region for Hong Kong but also consolidates Hong Kong’s role as a “super-connector”.

Mr Lee also mentioned Ms Sun’s presence at the signing ceremonies of co-operation documents between the General Administration of Customs and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, which aim to promote the safety and seamless flow of people and goods between the Mainland and Hong Kong, as well as co-operation on exporting Hong Kong dairy and meat products to the Mainland. These initiatives will enhance Hong Kong’s position as an international trade and shipping centre, laying a solid foundation for further co-operation between Hong Kong and Mainland Customs.

On enforcement co-operation, Mr Lee said that Hong Kong and Mainland Customs have been working together to combat cross-boundary smuggling activities and prevent and detect smuggling of contraband through various measures, including the exchange of intelligence and conducting joint operations. He said he hopes that Hong Kong and Mainland Customs in future can continue to maintain close co-operation on immigration and customs clearance, anti-smuggling and anti-drug trafficking, as well as trade facilitation.

  • MIL-Evening Report: Environmentalists question Henry Puna’s role in deep sea mining firm

By Caleb Fotheringham, RNZ Pacific journalist

Environmentalists in the Cook Islands have criticised former Prime Minister and Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) head Henry Puna for joining the board of a deep sea mining company.

Puna, who finished his term as PIF secretary-general in May last year, played a pivotal part in the creation of multi-use marine park, Marae Moana, in 2017.

The marine protected area extends over the entire country’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ), covering an area roughly the size of Mexico.

It prohibits large-scale commercial fishing and seabed mining within 50 nautical miles of each of the 15 islands.

Puna has now joined the board of deep sea mining company Cobalt Seabed Resources (CSR) — a joint venture between the Cook Islands government and the Belgian company Global Sea Mineral Resources.

CSR is currently undertaking exploration in the Cook Islands EEZ, along with two other companies. It also has an exploration licence in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone, located in the high seas in the central Pacific Ocean.

Environmental advocates say Puna’s new role conflicts with his conservation work.

    Simultaneously pushing for Marae Moana
The Te Ipukarea Society said Puna was interested in the deep sea mining industry while simultaneously pushing for the creation of Marae Moana during his time as Prime Minister.

“It is something to be wary about with his new role and maybe how he will go about green washing how the deep sea mining company operates within our waters and their actions,” the environmental charity’s director Alana Smith said.

While in Parliament, Puna was an MP for the Northern Group atoll Manihiki.

Manihiki resident Jean-Marie Williams said Puna was a good man

However, Williams believes the benefits of deep sea mining will not be seen on his island.

“We could make money out of it,” he said. “But who’s going to make money out of it? Definitely not the people of Manihiki.

“The corporat[ions] will make money out of it.”

    ‘First to know’
However, William Numanga, who previously worked for Puna as a policy analyst, does not view it like that.

“Remember, Henry lives on an atoll, up north, so if there is any effect on the environment, he would be first to know,” Numanga said.

“I do not think he will be putting aside a lot of the environmental concerns or challenges. He will be making sure that those environmental concerns are factored into this development process,” he added.

Henry Puna ended his term as the PIF secretary general in May 2024 . . . a “passion for environmental protection”. Image: RNZ Pacific/Eleisha Foon

He believes Puna’s “passion for environmental protection”, coupled with his desire for economic development, makes him a good fit for the role.

Auckland doctoral student Liam Koka’ua said the company, which has the aim of extracting valuable minerals from the seabed, went against the purpose of Marae Moana.

“If you truly believe Marae Moana is a place that must be protected at all costs and protected for our sustained livelihood and future and be protected for generations to come, then I don’t think rushing into an experimental industry that could potentially have huge impacts is aligned with those intentions,” Koka’ua said.

RNZ Pacific has made multiple attempts to reach Puna for comment, but has yet to receive a response.

However, in a statement, he said CSR was “uniquely placed to make advances for the people of the Cook Islands”.

The device automatically detects and connects to local networks as you travel, eliminating the need for different SIM cards or complicated international plans.

Using WPA2 security standards along with additional proprietary security measures to create a secure connection bubble around your digital activities. Users can further customize security settings through the intuitive management interface, including guest network creation with limited access permissions.

    Benefits Of Ryoko Pro

Ryoko Pro delivers substantial benefits that extend far beyond basic internet connectivity, fundamentally transforming how users interact with the digital world while traveling or working remotely.

    Unprecedented Freedom and Flexibility

The most immediate benefit of Ryoko Pro is the liberation from geographical connectivity constraints. Users experience unprecedented freedom to work, communicate, and consume content from virtually anywhere without sacrificing connection quality. This location independence empowers professionals to redefine their workplace boundaries, enables travelers to maintain productivity during transit, and allows digital nomads to establish operations from remote or exotic locations without connectivity concerns.

The absence of contracts creates financial flexibility previously unavailable in the connectivity market. Users can adjust their plans based on changing travel schedules or usage requirements without incurring penalties or navigating complicated cancellation procedures. This pay-for-what-you-need approach eliminates wasteful spending on unused services during periods of lower mobility.

    Enhanced Productivity and Reliability

Productivity receives a significant boost through consistent, reliable internet access regardless of location. The frustration and time wastage associated with hunting for public WiFi, dealing with spotty hotel connections, or configuring different connectivity solutions for each destination are eliminated. This connectivity continuity maintains workflow momentum and ensures deadline-sensitive projects remain on track even during intensive travel periods.

The multi-device capability transforms Ryoko Pro into a mobile office hub, allowing simultaneous connection of laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other IoT devices. Team members traveling together can share a single connection while maintaining individual productivity, and families can keep multiple devices connected without competing for bandwidth or accumulating charges across separate devices.

    Financial Advantages Through Smart Design

Significant financial benefits emerge through the elimination of international roaming charges, which can quickly accumulate to hundreds or even thousands of dollars during global travel. Ryoko Pro predictable pricing structure protects users from bill shock while maintaining premium connectivity quality.

For businesses, Ryoko Pro represents an excellent return on investment by eliminating productivity losses caused by connectivity issues during business travel. The ability to maintain seamless communication with clients, access cloud-based resources, and participate in virtual meetings from any location directly impacts revenue generation and operational efficiency.

    Security and Peace of Mind

Perhaps the most valuable yet intangible benefit is the peace of mind that comes from securing your digital activities. Public WiFi networks represent significant security vulnerabilities, potentially exposing sensitive data to malicious actors. Ryoko Pro creates a secure, private connection that protects confidential communications, financial transactions, and proprietary information while working in public spaces, substantially reducing cybersecurity risks associated with mobile work.

    Pros (Ryoko Pro Reviews)

Ryoko Pro strengths extend across multiple dimensions, delivering advantages that position it as the premier solution for portable connectivity needs.

The most compelling advantage is the seamless global coverage spanning over 100 countries without roaming fees. Unlike smartphone hotspots that incur substantial international charges, Ryoko maintains consistent pricing regardless of location, eliminating surprise charges on your monthly statement.

Performance reliability distinguishes Ryoko Pro from alternatives, with dedicated hardware specifically engineered for connectivity tasks. This specialized design delivers superior signal reception, more stable connections, and better performance than smartphone hotspots that struggle with simultaneous data transmission and reception tasks.

Battery efficiency represents another significant advantage. While activating your smartphone’s hotspot function dramatically accelerates battery depletion, Ryoko optimized power management, delivers 8 hours of continuous connectivity without impacting your primary communication device’s availability.

The multi-device capability creates exceptional value, supporting up to 10 simultaneous connections without performance degradation. This transforms the Ryoko Pro from an individual solution to a comprehensive connectivity hub for families, small teams, or multi-device users.

From a security perspective, Ryoko Pro implements enterprise-grade encryption that substantially outperforms public WiFi options, protecting sensitive data from potential interception. Combined with the intuitive interface requiring minimal technical knowledge, it delivers sophisticated connectivity benefits with remarkable user-friendliness.

    Who Needs Ryoko Pro?

Ryoko Pro serves diverse audiences united by their need for reliable, secure connectivity beyond traditional infrastructure limitations.

Business travelers form a core user base, relying on Ryoko Pro to maintain productivity during international trips. For these professionals, the ability to join video conferences, access cloud resources, and respond to time-sensitive communications from airports, hotels, or client locations represents significant professional value.

Digital nomads and remote workers embrace it as essential equipment enabling their location-independent lifestyle. By providing consistent connectivity from beach destinations, mountain retreats, or foreign cities, Ryoko Pro Portable WiFi removes the geographical restrictions that typically limit remote work options.

Frequent international travelers appreciate its ability to eliminate roaming charges while providing immediate connectivity upon landing in new destinations. The simplicity of having one solution that works across multiple countries removes the complexity of navigating different local SIM cards or connectivity options.

Families traveling together benefit from Ryoko Pro multi-device support, creating a connectivity hub that keeps everyone online without purchasing separate international data plans for each family member’s device.

Event coordinators and field professionals working in locations with unreliable infrastructure utilize it as backup connectivity, ensuring critical operations continue regardless of local network conditions.

Students studying abroad find Ryoko Pro invaluable for maintaining academic continuity while navigating new environments, accessing course materials and submission portals without dependence on variable campus networks.

    Why Is Ryoko Pro Recommended?

Industry experts and seasoned travelers consistently recommend Ryoko Pro on its exceptional performance metrics and thoughtful user-centered design that addresses common connectivity pain points.

The recommendation strength stems from its comprehensive approach to global connectivity that eliminates the traditional compromises users face. While other solutions might excel in specific aspects, some offering good domestic coverage, others providing acceptable international options, Ryoko Pro delivers excellence across all critical dimensions including coverage breadth, connection stability, security implementation, and user experience.

Performance testing under diverse conditions demonstrates its technical superiority, maintaining consistent speeds even in challenging environments where competing products struggle to establish reliable connections. The engineering precision evident in signal acquisition and retention capabilities reflects the product’s focused development as a dedicated connectivity solution rather than an afterthought feature.

Customer satisfaction metrics further reinforce the recommendation. Based On Verified Ryoko Pro Reviews, thousands of buyers were reporting transformative improvements in their travel and remote work experiences. The remarkably low return rate during the 30-day guarantee period indicates the product consistently meets or exceeds buyer expectations.

For professionals whose productivity and effectiveness depend on reliable connectivity, Ryoko Pro represents not merely a purchase but an investment in operational consistency. The device’s reasonable acquisition cost combined with transparent usage plans delivers exceptional value when measured against the productivity losses prevented through consistent connectivity.

BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhua) — China’s rail freight volume was about 1.3 billion tonnes in January-April 2025, up 3.6 percent year on year, the China State Railway Corporation (CSRC) said Monday.

According to the KGZhK, the average daily loading at railway stations amounted to 180 thousand cars, which is 4.7 percent more in annual terms.

From January to April, 672 million tons of coal were transported by rail in the country, 464 million tons of which were intended for electricity generation.

Coal stocks at power plants remained high, while the volume of transportation of mining products and construction materials increased by 29.3 percent, and metallurgical materials by 10.7 percent, the KGZhK reported.

Railway authorities across the country have also strengthened cooperation with shipping companies, creating 119 products under the “single bill of lading” multimodal rail-sea transportation system, reducing transportation time and logistics costs. During the reporting period, the volume of cross-border freight continued to grow. The China-Europe freight train sector maintained stable dynamics. Moreover, 4,725 trips of freight trains were made on international freight routes between China and Central Asia, up 21 percent year-on-year, the KGRK noted. Meanwhile, 1.976 million tons of cross-border freight were transported on the China-Laos railway, up 7.6 percent year-on-year. -0-
