  • India hopes zero tolerance for terrorism will be strongly upheld: EAM Jaishankar before key SCO meeting

    Source: Government of India

    Source: Government of India (4)

A day ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (CFM) in Tianjin, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar on Monday stated that the “primary mandate” of the grouping is to “combat terrorism, separatism and extremism”.

“Tomorrow, we will be meeting in the format of the SCO, whose primary mandate is to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism. This is a shared concern and India hopes that zero tolerance for terrorism will be strongly upheld,” the EAM said in his opening remarks during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday.

Last month, the SCO Defence Ministers’ Meeting held at Qingdao could not adopt a Joint Statement after India’s concerns on terrorism did not reflect in the document.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who had attended the meeting, had laid down the broad contours of India’s transitional shift in its policy against terrorism and had also called upon the member countries to unite in eliminating the menace for collective safety and security.

“I understand that they could not adopt a Joint Statement. I also understand that member countries could not reach consensus on certain issues and hence the document could not be finalised. On our side, India wanted concerns on terrorism reflected in the document, which was not acceptable to one particular country, and therefore the statement was not adopted,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said during a regular media briefing held in New Delhi on June 26.

On June 24, while spotlighting the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack and India’s subsequent Operation Sindoor to dismantle terror infrastructure across the border, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had also called for the urgent need to shun double standards in the fight against terrorism and take decisive actions against UN-proscribed terrorists and entities.

Addressing the 20th meeting of the Security Council Secretaries of the SCO Member States in Beijing, NSA Doval had said that India is deeply concerned about continued threat from terror groups designated by United Nations Security Council (UNSC), including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) — two of the most dangerous and state-supported terror outfits operating out of Pakistan – besides Al Qaeda, ISIS and its affiliates.

In his intervention, he highlighted the need to shun double standards in the fight against terrorism and take decisive actions against UN-proscribed terrorists and entities like LeT, JeM and their proxies and dismantle their terror eco-systems.

Reiterating that any act of terror including cross border terrorism is a crime against humanity, India had called on SCO members to hold accountable the perpetrators, organisers, financiers and sponsors of acts of cross border terror and to help bring them to justice.

During his visit, NSA Doval had also held discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi who is also a Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

  • MIL-OSI USA: Representatives Sorensen, Kaptur, and Doggett Call for Investigation into Deadly Texas Floods

Source: United States House of Representatives – Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17)

In a Letter to President Trump, NOAA Leadership, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Representatives Want Answers to What Contributed to the Deaths of More Than 100 Americans

Representatives Eric Sorensen (IL-17), Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), and Lloyd Doggett (TX-37) are demanding answers from President Donald Trump, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) leadership, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on why hundreds of Americans were unprepared to evacuate from the deadly Texas floods. In a letter they sent to the current Administration, the representatives are calling for an urgent review of the disaster to determine if staffing shortages, stalled forecasting improvements, or insufficient flood preparedness contributed to the deaths of more than 100 people.

“As someone who has reported on dangerous floods for my neighbors as a meteorologist in my local community, I know how critical it is for NWS meteorologists, local media, and emergency management coordinators to work together seamlessly and quickly to share urgent warnings,” said Congressman Sorensen. “The deadly toll of the flash floods that hit Texas last week beg the question of what went wrong with the warning systems in place and what more could have been done to prevent this tragedy. The Trump Administration’s cuts to NOAA and the NWS are already having a real impact on the accuracy of our nation’s weather forecasting, creating cause for major concern. That is why I am calling on President Trump, NOAA, and the Army Corps of Engineers to undertake a full-scale investigation into what went wrong and what can be done to prevent catastrophes like this in the future.”

“This flood was not just a natural disaster but a failure of foresight and leadership,” said Congresswoman Kaptur. “A changing climate is rewriting the rules of weather, and our federal agencies must keep pace. The American people deserve a weather warning system that does more than sound the alarm. It must be fully staffed and ready to act to ensure that everyone in harms way receives it. This letter is a demand for accountability, but more importantly, it’s a demand for lives to be protected anywhere severe weather strikes.”

“As Texans in my state are faced with much pain and uncertainty, we cannot wait to ask the hard questions,” said Congressman Doggett. “Effective oversight saves lives. That is why we need a full account of the ways in which the Trump administration’s recent actions have undermined the federal response, both before and after this catastrophe. Learning from these failures and recognizing that weather intensification driven by climate change increasingly endangers lives will help prevent more tragedies.”

You can read the full letter HERE.

Since President Trump took office, there has been a 15% reduction in National Weather Service (NWS) staffing that has begun to degrade forecasting capabilities and operational capacity at NWS offices across the country.

As the only meteorologist in Congress, Congressman Sorensen has been a fierce advocate for protecting and strengthening NOAA and the NWS from cuts. Starting last year, he has been warning about the impact of Project 2025’s plans to dismantle and privatize NOAA and the NWS. As the Department of Government Efficiency began making cuts to the agencies, Congressman Sorensen has been speaking out, introducing legislation, and calling on the Administration to bring a stop to the disastrous cuts. He recently introduced the Weather Workforce Improvement Act to help the NWS fully staff critical positions at their offices and the Rural Weather Monitoring Systems Act to help strengthen weather forecasting in rural America.

  • MIL-OSI USA: Bean, Hern Introduce “Apples to Apples” Act to Bring Medicare Transparency for Seniors

Source: United States House of Representatives – Representative Aaron Bean Florida (4th District)

WASHINGTON—U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) and U.S. Congressman Kevin Hern (OK-01) recently introduced H.R. 4093, the Apples to Apples Comparison Act, so that consumers have accurate data when deciding between Medicare Advantage (MA) and Fee-for-Service (FFS) for their healthcare coverage.

With Medicare spending projected to reach a staggering $1.3 trillion this year and a majority of Medicare beneficiaries now enrolled in Medicare Advantage, the stakes have never been higher. Flawed data leads to flawed decisions—and getting it wrong could jeopardize access, benefits, and the quality of care for millions of seniors. The Apples to Apples Act will require the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to more accurately compare costs and health outcomes to ensure that seniors are able to select healthcare policies that best reflect their needs.

Upon introduction, Congressman Bean said: “Healthcare decisions are complicated enough, and seniors shouldn’t have to compare apples to oranges in order to make good choices. The Apples to Apples Act ensures that seniors have accurate and comparable information when choosing which Medicare program works best for their lifestyle and budget.”

“Greater transparency is needed in all aspects of the healthcare market, because transparency helps patients. The Medicare market has long needed new transparency measures. This bill will do the job. It’s important for us to understand how the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) uses their cost data, and ensure they are bringing fair market prices to seniors across this country. Our seniors deserve the best care at the lowest price, and I’m proud to cosponsor this bill to help us get there,” said Congressman Hern.

The text of this legislation can be found HERE.

BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) — China on Monday urged Japan to learn from history and be prudent in its military and security words and actions as this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Jiang Bin made the statement in response to a reporter’s request to comment on Japanese government sources’ reports that Japan plans to export six Abukuma-class frigates to the Philippines.

The official reiterated China’s position that cooperation between relevant countries in the areas of defense and security should not be directed against third parties or harm their interests.

Jiang Bin recalled the grave historical responsibility of Japanese militarism for its actions during World War II, including the invasion and colonial rule of neighboring countries such as China and the Philippines, as well as the occupation of islands in the South China Sea.

In recent years, Japan, going beyond the framework of its peace constitution and the principle of “exclusively defensive policy,” has been continuously increasing the export of weapons and military equipment abroad, the official representative stated.

He said such actions looked like reckless attempts to create “inner circles,” sow chaos in the South China Sea and bring instability to the Asia-Pacific region as a whole.

“We call on the Japanese side to deeply rethink its activities, learn from history, exercise caution in its statements and actions in the military and security spheres, and take more steps to help protect peace and stability in the region,” the official representative concluded. –0–

Speaking about China-EU relations, Wang Yi noted that the most important experience and lesson learned from the 50 years of development of China-EU relations is that bilateral relations are positioned as partnerships, not competition, and their leitmotif is dialogue and cooperation.

The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed that China and the EU, as two leading global powers, civilizations and markets, should understand, respect and value each other.

Wang Yi called on both sides to view the mutually beneficial and win-win nature of bilateral relations from the perspective of development, jointly promote the process of human civilization, and maintain world peace and stability.

    J. Borg, for his part, stated that Malta highly values relations with China, always regards them as a priority area of its diplomacy, firmly adheres to the one-China principle, actively participates in the Belt and Road Initiative and invites more Chinese friends to visit Malta.

The Maltese side also believes that the EU and China should be partners, not rivals, and that differences between them should be properly resolved through dialogue and consultation, said J. Borg, expressing his readiness to continue to play an active role in stimulating the development of European-Chinese relations. –0–

  • MIL-OSI Asia-Pac: SOIC’s Artificial Intelligent Identification Navigation Assistance System Wins Silver at the 2025 Edison Awards

    Source: Republic of China Taiwan

Maritime navigation often faces challenges such as heavy fog and poor visibility at night. In such conditions, traditional radar and Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) often struggle to provide real-time and intuitive navigational information. The “Artificial Intelligent Identification Navigation Assistance System” addresses this pain point by integrating AI-based image recognition with thermal imaging and visible light camera technologies. Even in nighttime or adverse weather, the system can accurately identify surrounding vessels, significantly enhancing visual perception capabilities.

By fusing data from maritime radar and AIS, the system offers a real-time, intuitive visual navigation interface that enables quick awareness of surrounding vessel movements. Additionally, through AI-powered predictive analysis, it can recognize up to 17 vessel types under all weather conditions and effectively detect vessel activity within a 2-nautical-mile range, actively alerting users to potential navigation risks and helping to prevent collisions.

The system has already been integrated with cameras from Merit Lilin Ent. Co. and Creative Sensor Inc., and deployed on vessels from Pier 22 Co. Yachts and Porrima. Future plans include expanding into unmanned vessel applications, further advancing AI capabilities in maritime operations.

  • MIL-OSI Africa: East African Community (EAC) Champions Harmonised Africa Resource Mobilisation Strategy as it assumes EAC-Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA)-Southern African Development Community (SADC) Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA) Leadership

    Source: APO

    .

As the African continent continues to grapple with limited resources to finance its development agenda and ambitions, the East African Community (EAC) Secretary General, Hon. Veronica M. Nduva, has called for a unified, continent-wide resource mobilization strategy to replace fragmented and duplicative efforts and to strengthen Africa’s resource coalition.

The Secretary General observed that while the region has held various forums deliberating on strategies to pool resources for the continent, there is need for a harmonized and streamlined approach to deliver a common strategy. She emphasized the importance of coordinated action to unlock large-scale financing capable of advancing the goals of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Hon. Nduva was speaking at a high-level roundtable convened by the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on the sidelines of the 7th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and Regional Mechanisms.

The meeting brought together the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, heads of African Union institutions, Regional Economic Communities, African Union Member States’ representatives, development partners, and other key stakeholders to deliberate on how to fast-track the realization of Agenda 2063 through more effective and African-led resource mobilization.

The Secretary General advocated for blended financing that leverages public, private, and philanthropic capital. She urged greater involvement of African philanthropists and the private sector in defining and deepening their contributions.

“It is also critical that we consider the adoption of austerity measures to ensure that resources allocated for projects deliver the intended outcomes,” she stated.

Hon. Nduva further underscored the importance of integrating technology into all efforts to strengthen planning, coordination, and implementation.

Echoing this call for transformation, the AU Commission Chairperson,H.E. Youssouf stressed the urgency of moving away from donor dependency towards a model anchored in African ownership and alignment with the continent’s priorities.

“As we prepare for the official launch of the Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA) Agreement during the 4th Tripartite Summit, it is essential that the key instruments critical to the operationalization of the TFTA are adopted by the next Meeting of the Tripartite Council of Ministers,” he emphasized.

At the same Summit, the EAC took over the Chairmanship of the COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Task Force (TTF) from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) , for the next one year. The Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA) Agreement officially entered into force on 25 July 2024, having reached the required 14 ratifications by Member and Partner States. Preparations are now underway for its formal launch during the forthcoming 4th Tripartite Summit.

As a key building block of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the TFTA seeks to integrate the economies of the three regional blocs, eliminate trade barriers, ease the movement of goods, services and people and stimulate industrial growth across the region.

Hon. Nduva noted that the EAC will focus on advancing the finalization and exchange of tariff offers, completion and adoption of the rules of origin, ratification of the TFTA Agreement by the remaining Member/Partner States and ratification of the Tripartite Agreement on the movement of business and persons.

“We are committed to prioritizing the operationalization of the agreements made and the revival of the Industrial Development Pillar,” she stated.

Hon. Nduva also underscored the importance of strengthening the institutional framework around the TFTA, including the need for a dedicated Tripartite Secretariat to drive coordination and implementation.

“We see the Tripartite FTA as a strategic lever to deepen integration, enhance competitiveness, unlock intra-African trade and advance inclusive industrialization,” she added.

The meeting also explored options for mobilizing resources to support the TFTA’s operations and activities.

The COMESA-EAC-SADC TFTA was first launched in June 2015 in Egypt by Heads of State and Government from the three blocs. It is anchored on three core pillars: market integration, infrastructure development and industrial development.

  • MIL-OSI Security: Philadelphia Resident Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Leading Large-Scale Drug Trafficking Organization

    Source: US FBI

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – A resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was sentenced in federal court to 180 months in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release, on his convictions of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine, crack, fentanyl, and methamphetamine, Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced today.

United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan imposed the sentence on Mikal Davis, 47.

According to information presented to the Court, from in and around April 2019 to July 2021, in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Davis conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute one kilogram or more of a mixture of heroin, five kilograms or more of a mixture of cocaine, 400 grams or more of a mixture of fentanyl, 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, 500 grams or more of a mixture of methamphetamine, and 28 grams or more of crack. Davis, who led the drug trafficking organization’s activity in Philadelphia and Johnstown, was one of the targets of a federal wiretap and was intercepted obtaining quantities of the drugs that he distributed to others. Accompanied by distributors below him, Davis frequently traveled between Philadelphia and Johnstown with drug shipments which were then stored and processed at “stash houses” throughout the Western District of Pennsylvania for distribution. During a meeting with a drug source in California for a resupply, Davis arranged for the drug parcels to be mailed to Johnstown for distribution. In the Philadelphia area, Davis met with drug sources and purchased over 2,000 grams of heroin and fentanyl and over 5,000 grams of cocaine from a source in New Jersey.

Assistant United States Attorney Maureen Sheehan-Balchon prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

Acting United States Attorney Rivetti commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Laurel Highlands Resident Agency and Homeland Security Investigations for the investigation that led to the successful prosecution of Davis. Additional agencies participating in this investigation included the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Internal Revenue Service–Criminal Investigation, United States Postal Inspection Service, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Pennsylvania State Police, Cambria County District Attorney’s Office, Indiana County District Attorney’s Office, Cambria County Sheriff’s Office, Cambria Township Police Department, Indiana Borough Police Department, Johnstown Police Department, Upper Yoder Township Police Department, Richland Police Department, Ferndale Police Department, and other local law enforcement agencies.

This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States by using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach that leverages the strengths of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Study: This summer, Russians are more likely to travel around the country by car with their families

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Ministry of Economic Development (Russia) – Ministry of Economic Development (Russia) –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Two thirds (62%) of Russians plan to go on holiday this summer, half (49%) will go on holiday with their spouse, and another 40% will take their children with them.

Most often, citizens plan tourist trips by car (38%), in second place among modes of transport is the train (29%), in third place is the plane (21%). The demand for various formats of recreation is growing: the most popular were trips along eco-trails (37%) and signature tours (33%). The main motive for summer travel is a reboot. These are the results of a study on the preferences of summer recreation of Russians, conducted by ANO “National Priorities” and the Ministry of Economic Development in June 2025.

Family vacations are still at the top of our citizens’ preferences: 49% of respondents will vacation with their spouse, and another 40% will take their children with them. This format is most popular among respondents in two age groups: 35–44 years old (57%) and 45–54 years old (54%). Among the types of transport that people will travel by this summer, the most popular is the car: 38% of respondents choose it. 29% of respondents will travel to their vacation spots by train, and 21% by plane.

“Studies of Russian tourists’ preferences regularly record the growth in popularity of car trips. We expect that this summer the share of car tourists will grow from 38% to 43% compared to last year. For this category, we have created more than 93 ready-made tourist routes together with the regions. Detailed information about them can be found on the National Tourism Portal “Puteshestvoem.rf”. We support the development of car routes, as well as their infrastructure, with measures that are in effect within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality”. In particular, this is a program for the creation of modular hotels, non-capital infrastructure facilities within the framework of a single subsidy. In these measures, projects related to the development of car tourism are highlighted as a priority. We are working separately with the Russian Ministry of Transport on repairing roads along routes, with the Ministry of Digital Development on developing communications on roads, and with the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Natural Resources on equipping tourist attractions with the necessary infrastructure,” notes Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

The main tourist motive this summer is a reboot: 58% of Russians go on vacation to clear their heads and relax. In second place is the search for new experiences (52%), in third place is the restoration and strengthening of health, as well as providing an interesting vacation for their children (29% each).

48% of respondents plan to spend less than 50 thousand rubles on a summer vacation, 32% – from 50 to 100 thousand rubles. The majority of respondents planning a summer vacation this year are young people aged 18-24 (71%) and 25-34 (73%). Half of the respondents (52%) plan to vacation for one to two weeks, while younger people (18-34) are more likely than others to plan shorter trips.

“The study shows that Russians have begun to split the classic two-week vacation more often. Modern tourists prefer to vacation several times in the summer, choosing short trips – the so-called weekend trips. This is confirmed by the statistics of the National Tourism Portal “Puteshestvoem.rf”: the corresponding section on it is one of the most popular along with car routes. Today, the portal offers more than 200 options for short trips to almost all regions of the country, and most of them will be of interest to families with children. Family vacations are an ongoing trend, and their popularity will only grow, which is reflected in the demand for a variety of formats. We also see a growing interest in event and cultural and educational tourism,” notes Sofia Malyavina, General Director of ANO “National Priorities”.

Perhaps the most interesting and unexpected conclusion from the study is the diversity of popular recreation formats. Thus, the leaders are eco-trail travel and signature tours: they are chosen by 37% and 33% of respondents, respectively. These formats are most in demand among young people (25-34 years old). Also popular with this age group are retreats – a quiet holiday that involves removing yourself from society, various spiritual and health practices. Creative tourism is also gaining popularity – active recreation, where you can gain new knowledge and learn new skills: it was noted by 26% of respondents.

This year, 17% of Russians will go to the Black Sea coast of Krasnodar Krai, 12% plan to vacation in Crimea or take short trips close to home. Almost half (46%) of respondents assess seaside vacations in Krasnodar Krai as safe, 38% of respondents are ready to consider trips to the Black Sea coast if prices drop.

8% are planning to travel abroad, while 57% of respondents expressed a desire to visit other countries if restrictions are lifted.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Marat Khusnullin: The number of private homes being built using escrow accounts has exceeded 16 thousand

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Government of the Russian Federation – Government of the Russian Federation –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Since March 1, 2025, a law has been in force in Russia regulating the use of escrow accounts in the sphere of individual housing construction (IHC). This mechanism ensures the protection of citizens’ funds from unscrupulous contractors and increases the reliability of transactions in the construction of private houses. Thus, to date, the number of private houses in the construction of which this mechanism was used has exceeded 16 thousand. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“We see a significant increase in citizens’ interest in individual housing construction. Our task is to create conditions for people to realize their desire to live in their own home. An important component in this matter is to guarantee the security of transactions. On March 1, 2025, a law came into force providing for the use of an escrow account mechanism for individual housing construction, which has already proven itself in the construction of apartment buildings. If in the spring, about 5 thousand individual residential buildings were built using escrow, today more than 16 thousand private houses in the country are being built using this secure financial mechanism,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that escrow accounts guarantee the protection of equity holders’ funds at all stages of construction. Buyers are assured that their money will be transferred to the contractor only after construction is completed. This means that in the event of a missed deadline or other violations, citizens will be able to return their investments.

The number of construction companies ready to work with escrow in the construction of private homes is also growing. According to the state company DOM.RF, the number of such contractors has grown more than 2.5 times – from 1.8 thousand on March 1 to 4.7 thousand companies at the current moment.

Nominal interest rates declined in May, but a renewed decline in inflation expectations helped maintain the achieved tightness of monetary conditions. However, the decline in nominal rates became more pronounced in June.

Operational estimates indicate a further decrease in interest rates on loans and deposits in June. Credit activity in the corporate and retail segments remained moderate. This restrained the growth of the money supply. The dynamics of monetary aggregates in June were comparable to May.

At the Ministry of Transport, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev introduced Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin to the staff of the Ministry of Transport and the country’s transport complex. Andrey Nikitin appointed Minister of Transport By Decree of the President of Russia dated July 8, 2025 No. 460.

The presentation was attended by deputy ministers and heads of organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Transport, representatives of the Federation Council, the State Duma and the professional transport community, and heads of major transport companies.

Vitaly Savelyev emphasized that the new head of the department has extensive professional experience: he headed the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and was the governor of the Novgorod Region.

“This experience will certainly be useful in the Ministry of Transport, will help to seriously strengthen the Ministry’s position and effectively solve the problems that the industry faces today. One of the key tasks is the implementation of the national project “Efficient Transport System”, which includes nine federal projects, including the construction of a high-speed highway approved by the President of Russia. Other large-scale tasks include the development of the Great Northern Sea Route, the construction of the third stage of the Eastern Polygon of Railways, the creation of modern and high-quality airfield and airport infrastructure,” said Vitaly Savelyev.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted such qualities of the Ministry of Transport team as cohesion and readiness to solve assigned tasks at the highest level.

Andrey Nikitin spoke about the priority areas of development of the industry. “I am ready to work in a single team to achieve together the high results set by the President and the Prime Minister,” he said.

According to the Minister, solving these problems is impossible without the support of colleagues from the State Duma and the Federation Council – in terms of legislative solutions and the creation of a legal framework for new technologies, high-speed systems, unmanned transport and many other innovations.

The emphasis will be on the digitalization of the industry. “We are doing this to ensure multimodality, maximum comfort and convenience for our passengers. The Ministry of Transport will be one of the leaders in this process,” the minister said.

Other important areas requiring increased attention are increasing the capacity of border crossings, transport security, and the development of scientific and human resources potential.
