In the park of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, they have begun preparing the light-dynamic musical fountain for the new season. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

“The specialists of the city economy complex carried out work to de-mothball the fountain. This is the only hydraulic structure in the capital that is covered with an inflatable dome during the winter. The protective structure was dismantled, after which the fountain was washed, the engineering systems were checked and it began to be prepared for the opening of the new season,” said Pyotr Biryukov.

The dome that covers the fountain is made of polyvinyl chloride. It consists of eight sectors, each weighing 400 kilograms. The parts of the dome are connected by four thousand bolts and the same number of plates that hold 64 embedded parts. An air supply system is constantly operating to maintain the shape of the structure.

The fountain in the park of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve is very popular with city residents and is considered one of the most beautiful sights of the capital. Two years ago, specialists carried out a major overhaul of the structure, completely updating the acoustic system and electronic control system, sound amplifiers, underwater lights, pumping equipment, electrical and water supply systems. In addition, they repaired the granite facing of the bowl, parapets, stairs and the paved area around the fountain.

Modern equipment and communications have made it possible to add brightness of colors, dynamics and variety of effects. Updated independent control lines of the fountain’s light and jet design allow creating a virtually unlimited number of artistic compositions.

The musical light-dynamic fountain consists of almost four thousand lamps and more than 800 jets. Thanks to the work of 82 pumps, the jets are able to rise to a height of 15 meters to musical accompaniment.

  • MIL-OSI Security: Two men have been jailed for murdering a man in Croydon

Source: United Kingdom London Metropolitan Police

Two men have been jailed for a combined total of more than 50 years for the murder of a man in Croydon as detectives continue appeal for the public’s help to locate an outstanding suspect.

David Walcott, 35 (18.08.89) of Turle Road, Norbury and Rammon Mali, 33 (08.12.91) of Valley Road, Croydon, were each sentenced on Thursday, 17 April at the Old Bailey to 27 years’ imprisonment for the murder of Rijkaard Siafa.

They were convicted of his murder on Wednesday, 26 February at the same court, following a five-week trial.

A murder investigation was launched after police were called to reports of a man stabbed in Fellmongers Yard, Croydon on Friday, 12 April 2024.

A number of members of the public attempted to provide first aid, before police, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance arrived at the scene. Sadly, despite their efforts, Rijkaard died at the scene only 30 minutes later.

In court, Walcott and Mali claimed that they were present, but were not the ones who stabbed Rijkaard. However, they were unanimously found guilty of murder by the jury.

    Hassanatu Bah, Rijkaard mother, said:

“Anyone who knew Rijkaard would tell you how truly special he was. He had a soul so gentle and a heart so kind that his love and care touched everyone around him. His dreams were big, his zest for life unmatched. He was driven by hope and ambition, and his future was filled with endless possibilities – dreams that were cruelly stolen from him.

“But let me assure you, Rijkaard’s story doesn’t end here. I will carry his torch for as long as I live. Everything he dreamed of, everything he wanted to accomplish, I would do my best to see it through. His name will not be forgotten.”

The court heard that on the day of the murder Rijkaard had been at a friend’s flat near Fellmongers Yard, before leaving to meet his partner. Only a few minutes after leaving the flat, he had been stabbed 13 times.

After the attack, Walcott and Mali immediately fled the scene. They then went to a pub on nearby Katharine Street, where they ordered three pints of beer.

As part of the investigation, officers viewed more than 100 hours of CCTV and were subsequently able to identify both Walcott and Mali.

A fast-paced manhunt was launched and a few days’ later officers were able to track Walcott to an address on Lewin Road, SW16. He was arrested on Friday, 19 April 2024 and charged the following day.

Mali fled the country on Tuesday, 16 April 2024. He was arrested at Gatwick Airport upon his return on Sunday, 5 May 2024 and charged the following day.

Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said:

“Our thoughts very much remain with Rijkaard’s family and friends, who had to re-live the last traumatic moments of his young life during the trial after the defendants failed to take responsibility for their actions.

“The defendants acted together, as a team. They had been looking for Rijkaard during the afternoon of Friday, 12 April and when they found him, they viciously attacked him.

“It’s clear Walcott and Mali are dangerous and unpredictable individuals and I am relieved they will remain behind bars for a significant period of time.

“I am extremely grateful to those who have come forward so far, however Jordan Vincent remains wanted for the murder of Rijkaard Siafa and my team remains determined to bring all of those responsible to justice.

“I am appealing to people to dig deep into their consciences and assist us with the whereabouts of Jordan Vincent. There is a £10,000 reward available for information which leads to his arrest and conviction. If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you may think it is – please get in contact, it could be crucial.”

  • MIL-OSI: HTX DAO Approves First Proposals via Token-Weighted Voting, Advancing Decentralized Governance and Brand Building

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

SINGAPORE, April 17, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HTX DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization committed to building a transparent and community-driven Web3 financial hub, announced the successful ratification of its first two community governance proposals — HIP-001: HTX DAO Committee Member Policy, and HIP-002: HTX DAO’s Official Interview Series “The DAO Talks”. Both proposals garnered significant community engagement and received broad support via $HTX token-weighted voting, officially entering the implementation stage.

This marks a major milestone in HTX DAO’s progression toward decentralized governance and ecosystem development. It demonstrates the DAO’s continued commitment to decentralization, participation, and open collaboration, laying the foundation for a more transparent, inclusive, and interactive DAO model.

    *Full Announcement:

    https://htxdao-1.gitbook.io/announcement-en/official-announcement-hip-001-and-hip-002-proposals-approved

HIP-001: A Modular Governance System from Policy to Practice

HIP-001 establishes a fundamental governance structure for HTX DAO, setting forth the responsibilities of committee members, a modular governance structure, term and rotation mechanisms, and a hybrid formation model. Key elements include:

    • Implementation of a modular governance mechanism, with 1–2 committee members assigned to each module;
    • Introduction of term limits and a rotation system to ensure continuity and community engagement;
    • Adoption of a hybrid selection model combining community elections with appointed members to balance decentralization and stability;
    • Clear delegation of responsibilities, including proposal drafting, coordination, execution, and community feedback collection.

HIP-001 provides the initial standardized and scalable framework for HTX DAO’s governance, laying a solid institutional foundation for future developments such as governance tooling, committee incentives, and additional governance modules. The new framework facilitates broader community involvement in decision-making and governance, enhancing the DAO’s professionalism, operational efficiency, and transparency.

As the committee expands with more members, HTX DAO’s governance will become increasingly diverse and representative, driving deeper decentralization across the ecosystem.

HIP-002: Empowering Governance Through Content and Building Communication Channels

HIP-002 launches a new branded content initiative titled “The DAO Talks”, led by second-term honorary committee member DaDa and produced by HTX DAO. The series will feature interviews with promising Web3 projects, discussions on DAO governance, analysis of market trends, and interactive AMAs with the community.

Airing weekly on X Spaces and HTX Live, the program functions as both a regular touchpoint for HTX DAO’s outreach and a strategic conduit linking the community, project teams, and investors. Through open conversations with high-potential projects, the series offers a community-driven perspective to boost token listing decisions on the HTX exchange and acts as a discovery mechanism for ecosystem growth. • MIL-OSI Asia-Pac: Draft Urban Renewal Authority Sai Yee Street/Flower Market Road Development Scheme Plan approved

Source: Hong Kong Government special administrative region

The Chief Executive in Council has approved the draft Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Sai Yee Street/Flower Market Road Development Scheme Plan (DSP).

“The approved DSP provides a statutory land use planning framework to guide the implementation of the URA Sai Yee Street/Flower Market Road Development Scheme,” a spokesman for the Town Planning Board said today (April 17).

The development scheme area, covering about 29 315 square metres, is designated as “Other Specified Use” annotated “Mixed Use (1)” and “Other Specified Use” annotated “Mixed Use (2)”. By adopting the “linked-site” approach and the “Single Site, Multiple Use” model, the DSP intends to achieve a holistic replanning of land uses in the Sai Yee Street/Flower Market Road area through redevelopment of various existing Government, Institution or Community (G/IC) facilities with adjoining urban fabric for a comprehensive mixed-use development, with a combination of various types of compatible uses including residential, commercial (hotel/office/retail), G/IC, a sizeable public open space (i.e. Waterway Park), cultural, recreational and entertainment uses.

The approved URA Sai Yee Street/Flower Market Road DSP No. S/K3/URA5/2 is available for public inspection during office hours at (i) the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, (ii) the Planning Enquiry Counters, (iii) the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office and (iv) the Yau Tsim Mong District Office.

Copies of the approved DSP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centre in North Point. The electronic version of the DSP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board’s website (www.tpb.gov.hk).

  • MIL-OSI Global: Birkin vs Wirkin: the backlash against the global elite and their luxury bags – podcast

Source: The Conversation – UK – By Gemma Ware, Host, The Conversation Weekly Podcast, The Conversation

    Tony Neil Thompson/Shutterstock

The Birkin bag made by French luxury retailer Hermès has become a status symbol for the global elite. Notoriously difficult to obtain, the world’s rich obsess over how to get their hands on one.

But when US retailer Walmart recently launched a much cheaper bag that looked very similar to the Birkin, nicknamed a “Wirkin” by others, it sparked discussions about wealth disparity and the ethics of conspicuous consumption.

In this episode of The Conversation Weekly podcast, we speak to two sociologists about the Birkin and what it symbolises.

For the rich housewives of Delhi, the Birkin bag is a must have, says Parul Bhandari. A sociologist at the University of Cambridge in the UK, she’s spent time interviewing wealthy Indian women about their lives and preoccupations. She told us:

A bag that is carried by rich women of New York, of London, of Paris, is something that you desire as well, so it’s a ticket of entry into the global elite.

Birkins are also used by some of these rich women as a way to show off their husband’s affection, Bhandari says: “ Not only from the point of view of money, because obviously this bag is extremely expensive, but also because it is difficult to procure.” The harder your husband tries to help you get the bag, the more getting one is a testimony of conjugal love.

    Manufactured scarcity

Named after the British actress Jane Birkin, Hermès’s signature bag can cost tens of thousands of dollars, or more on the resale market for those made in rare colours or out of rare leathers. But you can’t just walk into any Hermès store to buy one, as Aarushi Bhandari, a sociologist at Davidson College in the US who studies the internet – and is no relation to Parul – explains.

You need to have a record of spending tens of thousands of dollars even before you’re offered to buy one. But spending that money doesn’t automatically mean you get a bag. You have to develop a relationship with a sales associate at a particular Hermès store and the sales associate really gets to decide, if there’s availability, whether or not you get offered a bag.

Bhandari became intrigued by online communities where people discuss the best strategies for obtaining an Hermès. So when US retailer Walmart launched a bag in late 2024 that looked very similar to a Birkin, and the internet went wild, Bhandari was fascinated.

She began to see posts on TikTok discussing the bag. First it was fashion accounts talking it up, but then a backlash began, with some users criticising those who would spend thousands on a real Birkin and praising the “Wirkin” as a way to make an iconic design accessible to regular people. Bhandari sees this as an example of an accelerating form of anti-elitism taking hold within parts of online culture.

In February, the chief executive of Hermès, Axel Dumas, admitted that he was “irritated” by the Walmart bag and that the company took counterfeiting “very seriously”.

The Walmart bag quickly sold out and no more were put on sale. It has since entered into a partnership with a secondhand luxury resale platform called Rebag, meaning customers can buy real Birkins secondhand through Walmart’s online marketplace.

The Conversation approached Hermès for comment on the Walmart bag, and to confirm how the company decides who is eligible to buy a Birkin. Hermès did not respond.

  • MIL-OSI United Kingdom: Demolition work starts as part of Spon End Regeneration Scheme

    Source: City of Coventry

Demolition of blocks in the Spon End area of Coventry has officially started, marking a key milestone in the regeneration of the area.

Housing association Citizen is working with The Hill Group to demolish Kerry House, Milestone House and Trafalgar House in Spon End. Coventry City Council, Homes England and West Midlands Combined Authority are key partners supporting the delivery of the project.

To start with, works will take place inside the homes to all fixtures and fittings before the buildings are taken down.

This marks the first stage in a huge regeneration project which will see more than 750 homes built across three phases.

In the first phase, 158 homes will be demolished, and, subject to planning permission, 261 affordable homes will be built in their place. Of these homes 209 will be social rent homes and 52 will be rent to buy homes which are initially let at an intermediate rent of 80% of the market rent and can be later purchased.

Director of Regeneration at Citizen, Kevin Roach, said: “We’re pleased to see demolition work at Spon End underway in the first phase of our regeneration project.

“We’ve been working hard with our partners behind the scenes over the last few years on this regeneration project which will transform Spon End by providing more energy efficient affordable housing, increasing the area and quality of green open space and opening up the area of the River Sherbourne.

“This is a major project to regenerate the area over the next 10 years and we have worked with the community to ensure that their priorities and feedback has influenced our plans for the area.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the demolition progress over the next few months and to start on site in Spring 2026.”

The three blocks which are being demolished were first built in the 1960s and have most recently been used as part of various BBC productions including This Town, My Name is Leon and Phoenix Rise.

Cabinet Member for Jobs, Regeneration and Climate Change at Coventry City Council, Councillor Jim O’Boyle, said: “This is a really important regeneration scheme and one that is going to provide a lot of social and environmental benefits to the area.

“I’ve visited the site and seen close-up the work underway to remove fittings and structures inside the buildings.

“You can also see how dated and tired the existing housing and infrastructure looks, and it’s great to know that they will be replaced modern, warm and energy efficient homes, more quality green space and all with the River Sherbourne as a key feature.

“It’s going to be a major improvement for the Spon End area and I’m looking forward to seeing work start to progress.”

Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities at Coventry City Council, Councillor Naeem Akhtar, added: “I’m really interested in seeing the development of these new homes because it is vital that residents get every opportunity to live in good quality accommodation.

“I know that there has been a lot of work already done by Citizen, partners and residents to get to this point, and the demolition of the existing buildings is an important moment.

“We have more than a 1000 families and single people in temporary accommodation and to see the scheme really get underway, is good for our residents.”

Regional Managing Director at The Hill Group, Andy Fancy, said: “We’re excited to begin work on this important development site at Spon End. Successful projects are built on strong collaboration, and together with Citizen, Coventry City Council,  West Midlands Combined Authority, and the invaluable support of the local community, we’re poised to deliver energy-efficient, affordable homes that will enhance and enrich the local area.”

Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, added: “Our region is brilliant at building houses but not always the kind that people can afford. We desperately need more social and affordable housing so that everyone in the region can have a safe, secure place to call home.

“Already I’ve provided funding for more social homes than we’ve ever funded before. But the scale of the challenge means we have to work together to build the homes we need.

“Spon End may be something of a TV star, but it’s no longer fit for purpose. It’s time to bring the curtain down on these old properties and replace them with new, high quality social homes.

“It’s only by taking these bold decisions, and working together, that we can deliver what the region needs – homes for everyone.”

Demolition works are due to be complete in early 2026, with plans to start building the new homes in Spring 2026. These homes, which will be one and two-bed flats, are due to be completed and handed over to customers late 2028.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Students of SPbGASU presented their projects of a concert complex for Brest in the Republic of Belarus

    Translartion. Region: Russians Fedetion –

Source: Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering – Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering – Meeting at the regional executive committee

On April 14, a meeting of fourth-year students and teachers of the Faculty of Architecture of SPbGASU Daria Boytsova and Oleg Fedorov with the chief architect of the region Nikolai Vlasyuk took place in the Executive Committee of the Brest Region (Republic of Belarus). The meeting was also attended by teachers and students of the Department of Architecture of the Brest State Technical University (BrSTU). The event became the next stage of cooperation between the two universities, including in project activities. During the meeting, projects for a multifunctional concert complex in Brest, developed by students of the Departments of Architectural Design and Design of the Architectural Environment of SPbGASU, were presented.

Arina Aleksanova presented a project where the Belarusian national pattern “fire” is used in the volumetric-spatial solution of the complex and the architecture of the facades, giving expressiveness and cultural identity. In addition, the use of light accents is envisaged, imitating the flickering of flame, which enhances the emotional perception of the object in the evening.

Elza Sharipova’s concept refers to the image of medieval Brest in the engraving by E. Dahlberg. The author of the project noted the vertical tripartite structure of the city fabric, which was reflected in the appearance of the concert hall.

Maria Kondakova proposes to include a number of multi-level public spaces in the structure of the complex, from where a view of one of Brest’s waterways will open up.

Valeria Ganeeva used a technique typical for fortification structures: the formation of embankments and inclined walls. This approach is intended to preserve the memory of the place and remind us of the heroic history of the city.

Margarita Kotikova reflected the synergy of nature, art and history in her concept: her building should consist of three integral volumes, united by a common structure, which personifies the flow of water, music and time.

The project of the multifunctional complex, developed by Sofia Krivdina, reflects the key features of the Belarusian cultural and natural heritage: Belovezhskaya Pushcha, national ornament and the tradition of lighting lanterns before sunset. The central volume of the hall is associated with a powerful source of light and is covered with a translucent membrane. The design of the ramp and the restaurant supports were inspired by the Belovezhskaya Pushcha motifs. The visual identity of the project is given by the perforated pattern in the decoration of the facades, based on the traditional Belarusian ornament.

The historical fact about the development of Brest at the intersection of two rivers and trade routes became the basis of Irina Zaplatkina’s concept. The permeability of the ground floor space and the central atrium with a system of viewing arches reflect the “path” and “hope”. The movement along the street is accompanied by an exposition dedicated to the traditions and culture of Brest residents. An active system of dominants emphasizes the dynamism of society. All this should have a strong emotional impact on visitors.

The Chief Architect of the Brest Region and BrSTU teachers highly appreciated the projects of SPbGASU students. Our students will continue working on the concert hall project and the concept for the development of the embankment in Brest.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Renovation program: two residential complexes built in Kosino-Ukhtomsky district

    Translartion. Region: Russians Fedetion –

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

Two residential complexes were built under the renovation program in the Kosino-Ukhtomsky district. Their total area is over 20 thousand square meters. This was reported by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Urban Development Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

“In total, the two new residential complexes will have 173 apartments with a total area of over 10,000 square meters. Five of them are for people with disabilities, with increased corridor and doorway widths and special plumbing. For the convenience of residents, elevators have been installed in the entrances, rooms for concierges and storage areas for strollers and bicycles have been equipped. The first floors are non-residential – in the future, social and household infrastructure facilities will open there. Active recreation and sports areas have appeared in the adjacent territory near the new buildings, and CCTV cameras and outdoor lighting have been installed for the safety and comfort of city residents,” noted Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The new buildings were erected on Chernoye Ozero Street (building 7 and building 8) in an area with developed urban and transport infrastructure. Nearby are bus stops (Chernoye Ozero Street, Kosinskaya Fabrika, Bolshaya Kosinskaya Street, 24, and Orenburgskaya Street), as well as educational institutions, a children’s clinic, a community center, shops, and cafes.

“The entire construction cycle of buildings under the renovation program was supervised by Mosgosstroynadzor. During this period, a total of 24 control and supervision events took place: inspectors checked the quality of construction work, finishing, installation of engineering systems and completed landscaping. Based on the results of the final inspections, the committee issued conclusions on the compliance of objects with design documentation and approved architectural solutions,” added the Chairman of the Committee for State Construction Supervision of the City of Moscow (Mosgosstroynadzor) Anton Slobodchikov.

Earlier Sergei Sobyanin told on resettlement under the renovation program in the Timiryazevsky district.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about a million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 houses.

Earlier Sergei Sobyanin instructed to double the pace of implementation of the renovation program.

  • MIL-OSI China: UN celebrates Chinese Language Day with immersive cultural experience

Source: China State Council Information Office 3

The United Nations (UN) marked its 16th Chinese Language Day on Tuesday at its New York headquarters, offering an immersive cultural experience that blended Chinese poetry and music.

This year’s event, “Poetic China: Rhymes and Romance,” featured Chinese poetry readings, musical performances, and an exhibition on Chinese characters. More than 400 UN diplomats, staff and international guests attended.

The event showcased a performance by the UN singers, who, dressed in traditional costumes, sang the iconic Chinese folk song “Jasmine.” Additionally, UN staff and diplomats read excerpts from classic Chinese texts, including the Book of Poetry and the Book of Changes, as well as a poem by Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek, exploring the lyrical beauty of the Chinese language.

Zach Danz, a UN staff member and one of the readers, began learning Chinese a decade ago while studying theater at a university in Shanghai. Though he acknowledged the challenges of mastering the language, Danz expressed how enriching he finds the experience of exploring Chinese culture.

During the opening ceremony, Fu Cong, China’s permanent representative to the UN, remarked that poetry is deeply embedded in the soul of the Chinese people. He noted that Chinese classical poetry, which dates back over 3,000 years, marks the beginning of a rich cultural tradition.

Fu highlighted that “Chinese is stepping ever more confidently onto the world stage, becoming a bridge that crosses cultures, fosters understanding and helps forge consensus.”

He further emphasized that the event is “more than just one language” but “a celebration of dialogue among civilizations,” something needed more than ever today.

The UN’s Language Days, introduced in 2010, promote multilingualism and cultural diversity, ensuring the equal use of the six official UN languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

Chinese Language Day is celebrated on April 20, around the time of Guyu (Rain of Millet), the sixth of the 24 solar terms in the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. This date honors Cangjie, the legendary figure believed to have invented Chinese characters.

  • MIL-OSI China: Comedy stars discuss challenges, impact at Macao intl comedy fest

The second Macao International Comedy Festival convened top comedy creators for two major forums and a series of events to discuss the challenges of making comedy and its broader cultural significance.

A closing forum was held on April 13 in Hengqin, a district of Zhuhai in Guangdong province that borders Macao, marking the festival’s high point. Events for the comedy festival were held in both Hengqin and Macao.

Han Mei, CEO of Mahua Fun Age and a co-organizer of the festival, said the event’s five days brought not only laughter but also a deeper connection across cultures. “Comedy doesn’t just make us laugh — it makes us reflect, resonate and even brings us to tears,” she said. “This reminds us how comedy can transcend cultural and geographic boundaries, and how talent drives the sustainable growth of the cultural industry.”

Han said the festival will continue providing an open, accessible platform rich in resources to support more comedians, especially young women, in pursuing creative ambitions and innovation.

    Laughter as remedy

The closing forum, themed “Laughter as the Remedy,” featured Chinese comedy stars Shen Teng and Ma Li, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and Hollywood screenwriter Peter Chiarelli in a discussion on the challenges of comedy creation.

“Creating comedy is a serious undertaking, and the process is immensely challenging,” Shen said. “Comedy has such a long history that audiences have seen almost everything. The impact of short-form videos on long-form content has also been tremendous. Nowadays, attempting to innovate story structures or develop comedic characters that feel original to viewers is as difficult as scaling the heavens.”

“Comedy needs to build on the foundation of tragedy — making people not only relate and cry, but also laugh,” Ma said. Her longtime partner Shen agreed, adding that quality comedy requires an emotional core and skills from other genres. “To perform comedy well, you have to master different dramatic styles first, which makes the challenge even greater,” he said.

Khan said comedy requires something unique: precise timing. “Half a second earlier or later, and the punchline may not be effective. Timing is of the essence,” he said. “That’s what differentiates comedy from other genres.”

The Indian actor also emphasized that even a big laugh should be cut if it doesn’t serve the film’s overall narrative. “You have to keep in mind the overall impact of what you’re trying to say,” he added.

Chiarelli said comedy draws him in because it allows him to mask earnestness with humor while tackling serious topics. He enjoys guiding audiences to new perspectives, often by subtly drawing them into engagement. He cited his script for the film “Crazy Rich Asians” as an example of making an unfamiliar subject compelling to viewers.

During the forum, Shen also emphasized the urgent need to nurture young comedic talent and praised the festival as a valuable platform for emerging comedians.

“Developing the next generation of comedians is both meaningful and pressing,” he said. “True comedy requires innate talent — you must be born with a sense of humor to excel as a comedic actor. This alone disqualifies many performers. Some may have acting talent, but that doesn’t necessarily make them good comedians.”

The power of women in comedy

At the “Her Way” forum in Macao on April 12, Ma and Hong Kong filmmaker Andrew Lau discussed women’s roles in comedy.

Ma said she remains passionate about comedy but is keenly aware of the limited number of women in the field. “I once wanted to tear off the label of ‘comedic actress’ — it felt so difficult because comedy rarely earns proper recognition, especially for women,” she said. She explained that female comedians often feel isolated, frequently have their ideas rejected and face a host of unspoken requirements and expectations.

“I consider myself lucky to have finally met directors and teams who truly understand me and my artistic vision. Many have given up waiting. But I hope to see more women join and strengthen our ranks in comedic acting,” she said. She also expressed interest in taking on new challenges, including roles as cunning or complex characters beyond comedy.

Ma and Lau recently collaborated on a new film, “The Dumpling Queen,” a biopic about Wan Chai Pier dumpling brand founder Zang Jianhe, which is set for release on April 30. Lau said the story resonated with him because it reminded him of his mother. He thanked Ma for leading and supporting the project and helping to share a compelling Chinese story.

Ma said she did not initially pursue comedy and once felt constrained and labeled as a comedic actress. Over time, though, her view changed.

“During countless movie promotions, I’ve met audience members who tearfully told me, ‘You should know — during our darkest, most difficult moments, your comedy helped us through and gave us the strength to stand back up.’ Over time, I realized that a good story, a compelling character and quality comedy truly have the power to heal,” she said. “From that moment, I felt a sense of mission. I must continue doing comedy because bringing joy to audiences gives me just as much happiness.”

  • MIL-Evening Report: Bad news – why Australia is losing a generation of journalists

Shrinking budgets and job insecurity means there are fewer opportunities for young journalists, and that’s bad news, especially in regional Australia, reports 360info

ANALYSIS: By Jee Young Lee of the University of Canberra

Australia risks losing a generation of young journalists, particularly in the regions where they face the closure of news outlets, job insecurity, lower pay and limited career progression.

Ironically, it is regional news providers’ audiences who remain among the most engaged and loyal, demanding reliable, trustworthy news.

Yet it’s exactly the area where those closures, shrinking newsroom budgets and a reliance on traditional print-centric workflows over digital-first strategies are hitting hardest, making it difficult to attract and retain emerging journalists.

And in an industry where women make up a substantial portion of the workforce and of those studying journalism, figures show the number of young females in regional news outlets declined by about a third over 15 years — a much greater decline than experienced by their male colleagues.

Without meaningful and collaborative efforts to invest in young professionals and sustain strong local newsrooms, the future of local journalism could be severely compromised.

Reversing the trend requires investing in new talent, which might be achieved through targeted funding initiatives, newsroom-university collaborations and regional innovation hubs that reduce costs while supporting emerging journalists. It also requires improved working conditions and fostering innovation.

    Why it matters
Local journalism is the backbone of Australian news media, playing a crucial role in keeping communities informed and connected.

The Australian News Index shows community and local news outlets made up 88 percent of the 1226 news organisations operating across print, digital, radio and television in 2024.

These community-driven publications and broadcasters play a critical role in covering stories that matter most to Australians, reporting on councils, regional issues and everyday stories that affect people.

Yet local newsrooms face growing challenges in sustaining their workforce and attracting new talent, raising concerns about the future of journalism beyond metropolitan centres.

    Fewer opportunities
Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows the proportion of journalists working full-time has steadily declined in both major cities and regional Australia.

In major cities, the proportion of journalists working full-time dropped from 74 percent in 2006 to 67 percent in 2021. In regional areas, the decline was even more pronounced — falling from 72 percent to 62 percent over the same period.

This widening gap suggests that regional journalists are increasingly shifting to part-time or freelance work, largely due to economic pressures on local news organisations.

Newspaper and periodical editors are more likely to work full-time in major cities (68 percent) compared with regional areas (59 percent). Similarly, a smaller proportion of print journalists are fulltime in regional areas.

In contrast, broadcast journalism maintains a more stable employment in regional areas.

Television and radio journalists in regional Australia are slightly more likely to work fulltime than their counterparts in major cities.

    The pay gap
Regional journalists earn less than their metropolitan counterparts. The Australian Bureau of Statistics shows median weekly pay for full-time journalists in major cities is $1737 compared to $1412 for their regional counterparts.

The disparity is slightly greater for parttime regional journalists.

Lower salaries, combined with fewer full-time opportunities, make it difficult for regional outlets to attract and retain talent.

    Fewer young journalists
Aspiring to become (and stay) a journalist is increasingly difficult, with many facing unstable job prospects, low pay and limited full-time opportunities.

This is particularly true for young journalists, who are forced to navigate freelance work, short-term contracts or leave the profession altogether.

The number of journalists aged 18 to 24 has steadily decreased, falling by almost a third from 1425 in 2006 to 990 in 2021. The decline is even steeper in regional areas, falling from 518 in 2006 to just 300 in 2021.

Young journalists are also less likely to have a fulltime job. In 2006, 92 percent of journalists aged 18 to 24 held a fulltime job but this had fallen to 85 percent in 2021, although they are significantly more likely to be employed fulltime compared to those in major cities.

This demonstrates that regional newsrooms can offer greater job security temporarily but the overall decline in young journalists entering the profession — particularly in regional areas — signals a need for targeted recruitment strategies, financial incentives and training programmes to sustain local journalism.

Data also reveals an overall decline in journalism graduates entering the news industry. The number of journalists aged 20 to 29 with journalism qualifications has dropped significantly, from 1618 in 2011 to 1255 in 2021.

This decline is marginally more pronounced in regional journalism, where the number of young, qualified journalists fell from 486 in 2006 to 367 in 2021.

    Loss of opportunity for women
In Australia, women make up a significant portion of the journalism workforce, likely reflecting the growth in young women studying journalism at universities.

Yet the decline in young female qualified journalists, particularly in regional areas, further highlights the challenges faced by the regional news industry.

The number of female journalists aged 20 to 29 with journalism qualifications fell by 29 percent to 803 between 2006 and 2021, while the number of male journalists in the same age group declined by just 8 percent.

The decline of young female journalists was an even more dramatic 33 percent in regional areas falling from 354 in 2006 to 236 in 2021, while the number of male journalists in regional areas increased slightly in the same period, from 132 in 2006 to 137 in 2021.

    Time for a reset
There is a need to rethink how journalism education prepares students for the workforce.

Some researchers argue that journalism students should be taught to better understand the evolving news landscape and its labour dynamics, ensuring they are prepared for the realities of the profession.

This practical approach, integrating training on labour rights and the economic realities of journalism into the curriculum, offers critical insights into the future of local journalism.

Pursuing a degree in arts, including journalism or media studies, is now among the most expensive in Australia. Many young and talented students still pursue journalism, even in the face of industry instability.

However, if the industry continues to signal to young talent that journalism offers little job security, low pay, and limited career progression — particularly in the regions — it risks losing a generation of passionate and skilled journalists.

Investing in new talent, improving working conditions and fostering innovation is critical for the industry to build resilience and strengthen community news coverage.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: In March, the capital completed construction of seven buildings under the renovation program

    Translartion. Region: Russians Fedetion –

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

In March, the construction of seven residential complexes under the renovation program in five administrative districts of the capital was completed. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

“In five districts of the capital, seven new buildings with a total area of almost 150 thousand square meters were erected in March of this year. Three of them appeared in the Eastern Administrative District: two on Chernoye Ozero Street, and another on Nikitskaya Street. One new building was erected in each of the Northern, South-Western, Southern and Troitsky Administrative Districts. The new residential complexes are designed for more than 1.4 thousand apartments with ready-made improved finishing,” said Vladimir Efimov.

The adjacent territories were improved: children’s and sports grounds appeared here, as well as recreation areas with benches. For the safety and comfort of future new residents, lighting was installed and CCTV cameras were hung.

“New residential complexes have appeared in six districts of the capital. Two are in Kosino-Ukhtomsky, with 173 apartments. Another new building has been erected in Zapadnoye Degunino, Kotlovka, Tsaritsyno, Izmailovo and Troitsk. These residential complexes have over 1.2 thousand apartments. Elevators have already been installed in the entrances, rooms for concierges and storage rooms for strollers and bicycles have been equipped. The first floors are non-residential, and social and household facilities will be opened there in the future,” added the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Urban Development Policy

    Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Chairman of the capital’s Committee for State Construction Supervision Anton Slobodchikov noted that the department supervises the construction cycle of buildings that are being built under the renovation program. In March, inspectors issued conclusions on the compliance of buildings with the project. They conducted more than 80 on-site inspections. The Center for Expertise, Research and Testing in Construction conducted instrumental control, including quality control of finishing according to standards approved by the Moscow Government. This ensures the reliability and safety of new buildings after they are put into operation.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told on the use of prefab technologies in the construction of houses under the renovation program.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about a million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 houses. Sergei Sobyanin earlier instructed double the pace of program implementation.

Moscow is one of the leaders among regions in terms of construction volumes. High rates of housing construction correspond to the goals and initiatives of the national project “Infrastructure for life”.

  • MIL-OSI Economics: [Interview] Designing With the User in Mind: Inside the Advanced Research Behind Audio Eraser

    Source: Samsung

Imagine capturing a busking performance, only to have car horns overpower the music — or filming a vlog in a café where ambient noise makes conversations nearly impossible to hear.

Audio Eraser, introduced in the Galaxy S25 series, was designed to address such situations by reducing unwanted background noise and enhancing desired sounds to help users create more immersive videos.1 Galaxy AI features like Audio Eraser — developed with a deep understanding of user needs — was made possible thanks to the proactive efforts of Samsung Research and the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Newsroom sat down with audio technology experts from the AI Solution Team at Samsung Research to learn more about the development of this innovative feature.

▲ (From left) Kyoungbo Min, Hejung Yang, Hosang Sung and Jiwon Kim from the AI Solution Team at Samsung Research

Source Detection: The Future of Next-Generation Audio Technology
Audio Eraser enables users to adjust sounds within a video by removing unwanted noise and enhancing the audio they want to highlight. The feature quickly scans a video to detect and separate sounds by type, and can be used not only on clips recorded by the user but also on videos that have been shared or received.

Just as Object Eraser improved image editing and usability with its debut in the Galaxy S21 series, Audio Eraser was developed to deliver a more advanced and seamless multimedia experience across both audio and video.

▲ Audio Eraser allows users to adjust sounds by type within a video.

Developing Sound Source Detection and Separation Models
Audio Eraser recognizes six types of sound — voices, music, wind, nature sounds, crowd noise and ambient noise. Using sound source detection technology, the feature quickly identifies what sounds are present and where they occur in a video. Then, through sound source separation technology, it isolates and classifies each sound into distinct categories.

To build AI models capable of detecting and isolating these audio types, the research team began by collecting a robust set of training data. They simulated a wide range of real-world video recording scenarios to generate diverse audio datasets — and even went into the field to capture everyday sounds firsthand.

“Wind was particularly challenging to work with,” said Hejung Yang from the AI Solution Team at Samsung Research. “Besides refining our wind simulation technology, we enhanced our dataset by recording actual wind sounds outdoors whenever strong winds occurred — even after work or on weekends.”

In addition, the team devoted extensive time to improving the performance of the sound source separation model by carefully reviewing countless video clips multiple times.

“Each developer compared and analyzed more than 1,000 audio samples every week under a variety of conditions,” said Jiwon Kim. “Through continuous experimentation, we worked to identify the most effective sound source separation model to ensure consistent, high-quality results.”

▲ Samsung researchers work on developing audio technology for Audio Eraser.

Delivering a New User-Centric Listening Experience
As Audio Eraser runs on-device, it offers an enhanced user experience with real-time editing and improved privacy protection. Samsung’s long-standing expertise in developing competitive on-device AI capabilities across various features played a key role in Audio Eraser’s success.

“We focused on developing AI models and algorithms capable of fast, on-device processing,” said Hosang Sung. “A great deal of effort went into creating an optimized AI solution that runs smoothly with low power consumption.”

Supported by a strong AI research infrastructure, Samsung Research continues to strengthen its capabilities in advanced audio technologies.

“We are committed to developing next-generation solutions that elevate the usability of mobile devices,” said Hoonyoung Cho, Vice President and Head of the AI Solution Team at Samsung Research. “Through sound control and audio enhancement technologies, we aim to deliver a truly selective and personalized listening experience.”

Integrated Collaboration With Product Development Teams
Turning advanced research into a consumer-ready solution brought a new set of challenges. For instance, when editing video and audio simultaneously, playback needed to remain smooth and uninterrupted. Additionally, processing videos longer than an hour required specialized technology capable of completing the task within the same timeframe.

To address these challenges, Samsung Research and the MX Business worked together — from proposing user-centric ideas to repeatedly testing software optimization techniques and evaluating audio quality. Together, they explored multiple approaches to determine the most effective solution.

The cross-functional collaboration had already proven successful in the development of the Galaxy Buds3 series (Buds3, Buds3 Pro). As the needs for listening in noisy environments grows — for everything from music and media experiences to listening to clearer phone calls — Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) has become an increasingly essential feature in wireless earbuds. Samsung raised the bar by developing its own Adaptive ANC technology. The Galaxy Buds3 series adapts to the fitting conditions of different users and changes in fit caused by prolonged wear to deliver optimized ANC performance.

Since earbuds are worn directly in the ear, close coordination between hardware and software teams was essential to finalize product specifications and fine-tune the ANC technology.

“We developed multiple algorithms in advance to accommodate different hardware conditions,” said Kyoungbo Min. “Through extensive simulations, we prepared a solution that could be quickly adapted to any chipset or device. The development process involved iterative revisions and improvements, but the close collaboration between advanced research and product teams helped accelerate commercialization.”

Sound source separation is a core area of next-generation audio technology, and Samsung continues to advance its foundational innovations in this field. With Audio Eraser making full use of sound source separation, the company is preparing to expand into a range of new applications. The ongoing evolution of Galaxy AI is expected to deliver even more practical and intuitive features for consumers.

  • MIL-Evening Report: Contemporary television is rarely as good as The Narrow Road to the Deep North

Source: The Conversation (Au and NZ) – By Stephen Gaunson, Associate Professor in Cinema Studies, RMIT University

    Prime

The Narrow Road to the Deep North stands as some of the most visceral and moving television produced in Australia in recent memory.

Marking a new accessibility and confidence to director Justin Kurzel, it reunites him with screenwriter Shaun Grant. Having produced some of the most compelling and confronting cinema on Australia’s darker history, this latest collaboration is no exception.

Their previous features Snowtown (2011), True History of the Kelly Gang (2020) and Nitram (2021) focused on disturbed psychopaths wanting to unleash their fury onto a society they blame for their own wrongs and injustices.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North, the World War II five episode miniseries, continues their exploration of Australia’s violent past while navigating a new direction in how they depict confused and damaged men.

    Trauma of survival

Dorrigo Evans (Jacob Elordi/Ciarán Hinds) is a doctor sent to World War II. Captured during the Battle of Java he is taken as a prisoner of war (POW), where he is forced to lead his Australian soldiers on the building of the Burma-Thailand Railway.

Rather than an executor of violence, he is a pacifist and victim. Ultimately he has to make peace with his own trauma and guilt of survival when many around him perished – some of whom he knowingly sent to their inevitable death to ensure his own survival.

Faithfully adapted from Richard Flanagan’s novel, this production effectively creates interchanging timelines (seamlessly edited by Alexandre de Francesch) including prewar, war and postwar, and then flashes forward to Dorrigo in his mid-70s.

Elordi’s younger depiction of Dorrigo is filled with nuance and subtleties, often exuded through his stillness. This is harmoniously taken up by Hinds, who has to carry the weight of Dorrigo’s trauma and guilt decades later, with a worn and damaged quietness. Hinds is remarkable when faced to confront his celebrity as a war hero, desperate to give the truth over the expected yarns of mateship and heroism.

How do we tell the truth?

The Narrow Road to the Deep North has been scheduled to be released close to ANZAC Day, which always provokes broader conversations around the mythmaking and truth-telling of our war service and human sacrifice.

This production arrives as a thought-provoking essay on how military history continues to be told. Does the public really want accurate accounts, or more stories on mateship and heroism? Such questions filter dramatically across each episode and up to the final shot leaving us with much to consider.

As a war drama, The Narrow Road to the Deep North is almost entirely static. The combat the battalion engages in is eclipsed by the soldiers held as starving and malnourished prisoners, brutally forced in several graphic scenes to continue as slaves on the building of the railway at all costs.

The brutal and endless beating of Darky Gardiner (Thomas Weatherall), who crawls to the latrine full of excrement to drown himself, rather than endure more beating, is horrific but necessary to see the endless torture these skeletal and sick POWs are subjected to.

90,000 Asian civilians and 2,800 Australian prisoners of war died constructing the Burma Railway.
    Prime

One misleading depiction Grant and Kurzel disappointingly do not amend from Flanagan’s novel is the view that the Burma Railway was constructed almost entirely by the bloody hands of Australian soldiers. In reality more than 90,000 Asian civilians died, and 16,000 POWs from several nations, including 2,800 Australians.

    Moving across time

Cinematogropher Sam Chiplin brings a sense of gothic dread. The framing of every shot is masterful.

Odessa Young as Amy, Dorrigo’s true love, is a standout. She gives us someone struggling in a loveless marriage and desiring her husband’s nephew while she watches him sent to war. Her sense of entrapment in the quiet seaside Tasmanian coastal town is quite brilliantly realised.

Elordi’s Dorrigo is filled with nuance and subtleties. Odessa Young as Amy, Dorrigo’s true love, is a standout.
    Prime

Other performances worthy of mention are the Japanese soldiers tasked with the project of building the leg of the Burma-Thailand Railway. Major Nakamura (Shô Kasamatsu) is compelling as the scared and conflicted guard who ultimately spends his post-war years hiding among the ruins of Shinjuku to avoid capture as a war criminal.

Moving across the scenes and contrasting time frames is the haunting, unsettling and dissonant score by Jed Kurzel. Like the memories and trauma of the past, the music follows the characters across time and space.

    Immaculate

Structurally immaculate, The Narrow Road to the Deep North is not defined by its brutal torture of the POWs or comradeship of the starving soldiers (though they are powerful to watch). Instead, it points us towards the quieter visions of characters having to sit alone with their distorted memories.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North is a deeply compelling contribution to the Australian war genre.
    Prime

The tonal inspiration may be drawn from earlier literary anti-war novels such as All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) and The Naked and the Dead (1948), but The Narrow Road to the Deep North is a work of its own depth and beauty. It will deserve its place as one of the most compelling contributions to the Australian war genre.

The final moments of cutting between the faces of Elordi and Hinds left me silent and reaching for a reread of Flanagan’s novel.

Contemporary television is rarely this good.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North is on Prime from April 18.

  • MIL-OSI: CBL International Limited Reports 2024 Full-Year Results: Revenue Soars 35.9% to $592.5 Million Amid Global Expansion

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, April 16, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CBL International Limited (NASDAQ: BANL) (the “Company” or “CBL”), the listing vehicle of Banle Group (“Banle” or “the Group”), a leading marine fuel logistic company in the Asia-Pacific region, today announced its annual financial results for the year ended December 31, 2024.

    Financial Performance Overview

The company reported consolidated revenue of $592.52 million for the year ended December 31, 2024, marking a 35.9% increase from $435.90 million in 2023. This growth was primarily driven by a 38.1% increase in sales volume, supported by the addition of new customers during the year, expansion of our supply network to cover more ports, and a broader customer base that now includes bulk carriers and oil and gas tankers in addition to container liner operators.

Due to challenging market conditions, the Company reported a net loss of $3.87 million in 2024, compared to a net income of $1.13 million in 2023, mainly attributed to a 25.5% decrease in gross profit to $5.37 million in 2024 from $7.21 million in 2023 and a 56.8% rise in operating expenses to $8.70 million in 2024 from $5.55 million in 2023. The Company adopted a volume-driven growth strategy that involved offering more competitive pricing in a market characterized by intensified competition and pricing pressure. While this approach supported increased sales volume and market share, it also contributed to narrower profit margins.

In addition to reduced gross margins, the net loss was impacted by increased expenses for business expansion, biofuel operation, additional expenses to enhance ESG, and a rise in interest expenses. These were partially offset by a reduction in income tax expenses. The financial outcome reflects both the dynamic nature of the bunkering industry and the Company’s ongoing investment in client base development and geographic growth, which are expected to enhance long-term positioning as market conditions normalize.

Earnings per share (EPS) reflected this, decreasing to $(0.136) in 2024 from $0.045 in 2023. Cash and cash equivalents increased by 8.3% to $8.02 million as of December 31, 2024 from $7.40 million as of December 31, 2023.

    Business Expansion in Challenging Times

CBL International’s operational expansion was a key focus in 2024, particularly in a challenging industry environment marked by geopolitical tensions, such as the Red Sea crisis and broader Middle East tensions. The company grew its service network from 36 ports at the time of its IPO in March 2023 to over 60 ports by year-end 2024, covering Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and Central America. Revenue growth year-on-year was notable across China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea.

Key new ports included Mauritius, Panama, and India, enhancing its global reach. This expansion was supported by servicing nine of the world’s top 12 container shipping lines, representing nearly 60% of global container fleet capacity. The Company’s European expansion focused on strengthening cross-regional service offerings for Euro–Asia trade routes. Growth was supported by a stronger presence in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region and a new Ireland office established in late 2023, enhancing local sourcing capabilities.

Customer diversification was another priority, with the share of non-container liners in total revenue increased, and sales concentration among the top five customers declined in fiscal year 2024.

A significant highlight was the company’s push towards sustainability, with biofuel sales surging by 628.8% and volume by 603.0%. The introduction of B24 biofuel (76% fossil fuel, 24% used cooking oil methyl ester) in Hong Kong, China, and Malaysia reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, supported by ISCC EU and ISCC Plus certifications secured in 2023. This aligns with global trends towards greener shipping solutions and positions CBL as a leader in sustainable fuel logistics.

Strategically, CBL enhanced its IT systems, implementing real-time order tracking, data analytics, and workflow automation to improve efficiency. Credit risk management was strengthened, and working capital management improved with increased factoring facilities and a cash balance rise, navigating macroeconomic challenges through pricing strategies and port network adjustments. Additionally, CBL expanded its funding sources by accessing capital markets, such as private placement, increasing financial flexibility to support growth initiatives.

Bullish Outlook and Customer Loyalty Strategy

Despite the net loss, CBL’s management remains optimistic about the future, viewing current industry challenges as an opportunity to build resilience and enhance customer loyalty. While prudently evaluating the impact of the latest U.S. tariff policy, among other macro incidents such as geopolitical tensions, regulatory changes, and shifting global trade dynamics, on the economy and the bunkering sector, CBL believes its broad global network, primarily focused on intra-Asia and Euro-Asia trade routes, helps mitigate potential adverse effects. Since the Company has no operation on U.S. ports, the impact of such policies may be limited in the near future.

The Company’s strategic expansion of ports, diversification of its client base, and commitment to sustainable initiatives are designed to position it for growth when market conditions improve. By investing in new ports and expanding relationships with key industry players, CBL aims to secure long-term partnerships that will strengthen its market position as global trade stabilizes and profitability improves.

    Management Commentary and Future Outlook

Dr. Teck Lim Chia, Chairman and CEO of CBL International Limited, stated, “We are confident in our strategy to expand our service network, maximize sales volume and explore sustainable offerings, even in these challenging times. Our investments in new ports, diversified clients, and sustainable fuels are building a foundation for future growth. We believe that by demonstrating our capabilities at present, we will earn customer loyalty that will yield substantial benefits as the market recovers, positioning CBL International for significant success in the years ahead.”

Looking ahead, CBL remains focused on expanding its market presence, particularly in biofuels, and enhancing its global supply network. The company is committed to driving operational efficiency and delivering sustainable growth.
