Rosneft organized mass ski races in four cities of presence – Angarsk, Krasnoyarsk, Nefteyugansk and Ufa. More than 1800 people took part in the Rosneft Ski Race – employees of the Company’s enterprises and their family members.
Support for mass sports is one of the key areas of social work of Rosneft Oil Company and its subsidiaries.
The cross-country skiers competed in distances from 500 m to 10 km in six age categories. The youngest skier was only 3 years old, and the oldest athlete was 82 years old.
The competitions were organized at a high level – with professional judging, medical care, awarding of winners and prize winners in all disciplines. Ski preparation areas, heated changing rooms and rest areas were also equipped. A cultural program and a children’s corner were provided for young skiers.
The most massive corporate competitions are the Summer and Winter Sports Games, in which more than 20 thousand employees of the Company participate. “Rosneft Ski Track”, which was held for the first time, will become an annual event and will expand the geography of participants.
Rosneft carries out large-scale work to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle among both its own employees and the population in the regions where the Company operates. Ice arenas, sports complexes and multifunctional sports grounds are built in the regions using funds from Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company provides support to amateur and professional sports.
