    Riding the wave of global interest ignited by “Black Myth: Wukong,” another Chinese-developed AAA role-playing game, “WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers,” is now set to step onto the international stage.

    Developed by Chengdu Lingze Technology Co., Ltd. based in Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, “WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers” is set for global release on July 24. The game soared to the top of Steam’s China bestseller chart on its pre-order debut this April and ranked eighth worldwide, drawing significant attention from players around the globe.

    Set in a mythic world inspired by ancient Chinese legends, “WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers” invites players to step into the shoes of a lone female warrior, embarking on a journey through towering mountains, ancient temples and forgotten ruins, in a quest to uncover lost memories and hidden truths.

    The game draws heavily from the ancient Shu civilization, a prominent culture in southwest China known for its distinctive bronze masks and archaeological sites such as Sanxingdui, according to Guo Xinyi, CFO of Lingze Technology.

    To authentically bring this world to life, the development team at Lingze Technology conducted six years of extensive field research, including 3D scanning at dozens of cultural and historical sites — like the Anyue Stone Carvings and Taoping Village in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. The result is a vivid recreation of these ancient landmarks within the game.

    Drawing inspiration from classical texts such as “The Classic of Mountains and Seas,” the developers also integrated regional myths and local legends to craft a unique and immersive cultural atmosphere.

    The developers view the project as a fusion of gameplay and cultural narrative, ensuring it is both captivating and firmly grounded in Chinese tradition.

    “We wanted to make a game that is, above all, fun to play,” said Xia Siyuan, CTO and game producer at Lingze Technology. “We believe that only when players truly enjoy the game will they be motivated to explore the cultural stories behind it.”

    “The ancient Shu civilization was a natural foundation for us to build this world upon,” Xia added. “We want the world to see that Chinese culture is full of creative potential.”

    “WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers” is set to launch on major global platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox, the studio said. Industry insiders see the game as a potential milestone in China’s push to expand its footprint in the global AAA gaming market.

    AAA games, typically defined as requiring a lot of money, a lot of time and a lot of resources, are high-cost, high-quality, large-scale single-player titles. The market has long been dominated by developers from countries such as Japan, the United States and France.

    The upcoming release of “WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers” is part of a broader trend toward diversification and rising quality in China’s gaming industry. Other highly anticipated Chinese titles include “Showa American Story,” “Lost Soul Aside” and upcoming downloadable content for “Black Myth: Wukong.”

    China is the world’s largest gaming market, with domestic sales revenue surpassing 325 billion yuan (about 45.3 billion U.S. dollars) in 2024. Also, the 2024 China gaming industry report showed that China had 674 million gamers, while domestically developed games achieved overseas sales of 18.56 billion dollars last year, indicating the increasing international influence of Chinese games.

    The number of children reporting sexual assault after fleeing into Burundi to escape violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has more than tripled this year with aid cuts dramatically reducing the support available, said Save the Children.

    Between January and June this year, Save the Children staff in Burundi recorded over 478 cases of gender-based violence (GBV) including over 172 against children, most of them rape cases, which was a 249% increase from a year ago.

    More than one million people have been displaced by violence in DRC this year as the conflict dramatically escalated, including over 41,000 who have fled to Burundi, according to the UN.

    More than 65% of the GBV cases managed by Save the Children involve rape, along with psychological abuse and physical violence, the aid agency said, with horrifying stories of children being raped together with their parents and mothers being raped in front of their children.

    However, major cuts to aid supporting refugees from the DRC have curtailed the ability of humanitarian agencies to help the thousands of children housed in reception centres on arrival and refugee sites, putting their safety and wellbeing at risk. Normally survivors of gender-based violence would receive dignity and hygiene items including diapers, pads, underpants and soap, however the aid cuts mean not everyone is now receiving these essential items, said Save the Children.

    Due to the conflict, more than 500 children have arrived this year separated from their families, with about 300 unaccompanied children requiring services to trace their families and reunite them.

    Save the Children staff in Burundi said children who have faced sexual violence are in dire need of psychological support to overcome the trauma and are at risk of low self-esteem, self-blame, isolation, stigmatization and discrimination without help.

    Rita*, a 16-year-old girl living in a refugee camp in eastern Burundi, told Save the Children: “Before arriving in Burundi, my mother, my siblings and I spent several days hiding in the mountains near our village. Some days we would return home from the bushes when the sound of gunfire went down but go back to the forest in the evening. One evening we decided to stay in the house and that’s when it happened. Armed men entered our house and raped me, my sister and my mother. We then decided to flee the next day. It is very hard to look my mother in eye after what happened but also very difficult for our mother to talk to us about it.”

    Nadege Nizigama, Save the Children’s Child Protection and GBV case worker for Burundi, said:  

    “I speak to children who have faced various forms of abuse including rape and forced marriages. At the moment, I have two girls and one boy who are undergoing psychosocial support after experiencing rape while fleeing the conflict earlier this year. For the last few months, I have heard horrifying stories of children being raped together with their parents and mothers being raped in front of their children. No child should be subjected to this kind of violence. We are doing our best to provide all the support we can to help the children overcome their trauma but more needs to be done to restore the children’s wellbeing and strengthen their resilience.”

    Geoffrey Kirenga, Save the Children’s Head of Mission in Burundi, said:

    “Conflict related sexual violence has long been used as a tool of war to intimidate and terrorise civilians. The impact on children is devastating, and my team witness this daily. Save the Children’s work in Burundi reveals critical child protection concerns and survivors need to receive medical care and protection. 

    “Tragically we know the number of cases we have registered is just a drop in the ocean.  Children and community members often don’t report cases of severe violations because of fear of being victimized. It’s a tragic situation.

    “The impact of aid cuts is huge, considering the degree of vulnerability of our beneficiaries. Most of the families we are supporting have faced psychological trauma due to conflict and many left their homes with nothing. The funding gaps we’re now facing could force us to close down programmes that are a lifeline to children and families in dire need. We are calling on the international community not to abandon these children at a time when they need them most.”

    The ambush took place on Friday along the Birao-Am Dafock axis in the volatile Vakaga Prefecture, in northeastern CAR, close to the border with conflict-hit Sudan.

    According to the stabilization mission, MINUSCA, the patrol was targeted by “unidentified armed elements” in the locality of Am-Sissia.

    Attack may be a war crime

    In a statement released by his Spokesperson on Sunday, Secretary-General António Guterres extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families, as well as to the Government and people of Zambia, and wished a swift recovery to the injured soldier.

    He stressed that attacks against UN peacekeepers may constitute war crimes under international law and urged the Central African authorities “to spare no effort in identifying the perpetrators of this tragedy so that they can be brought to justice swiftly”.

    This marks the third fatal attack against MINUSCA peacekeeping patrols since the start of 2025.

    In March, a Kenyan peacekeeper was killed in the Haut-Mbomou prefecture, and a month earlier, a Tunisian ‘blue helmet’ lost his life in the north. Earlier this week, two Nepalese peacekeepers were injured during an assault in the southwest.

    Valentine Rugwabiza, head of the UN mission, decried the “multiplication of attacks against peacekeepers” and echoed the call for justice, urging the authorities to act decisively against those responsible.

    Since its deployment in 2014, MINUSCA has suffered significant losses, with around 150 peacekeepers paying the ultimate price.

    The 17,000-strong force was established to help stabilise CAR, a country wracked by decades of political instability, armed conflict, and humanitarian crises.

    According to a February report by the UN refugee agency (UNHCR), worsening insecurity across parts of the country has forced MINUSCA to step up patrols in several regions, including areas near the border with Sudan where violence and displacement have surged in recent months amid the brutal civil war between rival militaries there.

    The Secretary-General reaffirmed the UN’s solidarity with the people and Government of CAR, underlining the world body’s continued commitment to peace and stability in the region.

    UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday warned of “a rathole of retaliation” in the wake of US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

    The US bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities marks a perilous turn in a region that is already reeling, Guterres told an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

    “From the outset of the (Israeli-Iranian) crisis, I have repeatedly condemned any military escalation in the Middle East. The people of the region cannot endure another cycle of destruction. And yet, we now risk descending into a rathole of retaliation after retaliation,” he warned.

    To avoid further escalation, diplomacy must prevail, civilians must be protected, and safe maritime navigation must be guaranteed, Guterres said.

    “We must act – immediately and decisively – to halt the fighting and return to serious, sustained negotiations on the Iran nuclear program,” he urged.

    Guterres called for a credible, comprehensive and verifiable solution to restore trust, including inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN nuclear watchdog, Xinhua news agency reported.

    He stressed that the Non-Proliferation Treaty is a cornerstone of international peace and security, adding that Iran must fully respect it.

    All member states, he said, must act in accordance with their obligations under the UN Charter and other rules of international law, including international humanitarian law.

    “The United Nations stands ready to support any and all efforts toward a peaceful resolution. But peace cannot be imposed, it must be chosen,” said Guterres.

    “We face a stark choice. One path leads to wider war, deeper human suffering, and serious damage to the international order. The other leads to de-escalation, diplomacy and dialogue. We know which path is right.”

    He also urged the Security Council and all UN member states to act with reason, restraint and urgency for peace.

    The Sylva memoria team of the Civil Engineering Institute took part in the final event of the ARCHNEVA 2025 student architectural workshop, dedicated to the design and construction of wooden structures in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. The final took place in the park of the St. Petersburg State Forest Engineering University. The organizers were: the Wooden Housing Association, Kirov St. Petersburg State Forest Engineering University and the SOLO architectural bureau.

    The team was led by Alexandra Zatsepina, a teacher at the Higher School of Industrial, Civil and Road Construction.

    The team included students from various higher schools of the Civil Engineering Institute:

    Sharip Isaev, 4th year undergraduate student, Higher School of Industrial, Civil and Road Construction; Alina Totskaya, 3rd year undergraduate student, Higher School of Design and Architecture; Polina Shindina, 3rd year undergraduate student, Higher School of Design and Architecture; Elizaveta Rudt, 2nd year undergraduate student, Higher School of Industrial, Civil and Road Construction; Elizaveta Ivanova, 4th year undergraduate student, Higher School of Industrial, Civil and Road Construction.

    During the workshop, our team developed and implemented a small architectural form project, “Memory Wall”. The object was made of timber, boards, beams, plexiglass and mirrors. According to the students’ idea, “Memory Wall” became a symbol of careful rethinking of the memory of a place through form, light and texture.

    It was the connection with the place that attracted the attention of the jury at the final stage of the competition – when preparing the project, the students conducted research into the history of the park during the Great Patriotic War, talked with the director of the Botanical Garden of St. Petersburg State Forest University Nina Adonina, and collected information that was placed on the art object “Wall of Memory”.

    The team worked on the project not only at the level of concept and architectural solution, but also in the design plan: working documentation was developed, cost estimates were calculated, consultations were held with architects, engineers, manufacturers of Himtex fasteners and Farbraum paint and varnish coatings.

    The students went through all stages of the project implementation — from conception to construction. They personally erected the object, adapting it to the real conditions of the site and overcoming organizational and technical difficulties. Support was provided by experienced craftsmen, students of the Forestry University and representatives of other teams.

    At the final presentation, 6 teams from St. Petersburg, Moscow and Kazan presented their objects. The objects were opened to the public and the jury, which included industry experts, architects, festival curators and journalists. The “Wall of Memory” was awarded a diploma, and its future destiny was determined – the object will be installed in the Botanical Garden of St. Petersburg State Forest University.

    “The project allowed us to combine an engineering approach with landscape and architectural thinking,” said team member and fourth-year student of the Higher School of Industrial, Civil and Road Construction Sharip Isaev. “It was an important experience not only in design, but also in the team implementation of an idea from concept to implementation. We are grateful to the mentor and the ARCHNEVA workshop for the opportunity to be part of such a process.”

    The mentor of the team from the Civil Engineering Institute, Alexandra Zatsepina, noted: The greatest success for the team was how people passing by interact with the constructed art object. They come up, read the history of the park on the illuminated transparent wall, look at the mirrored windows with candles, where the guys indicated the plants that survived the blockade. You really want to stop at the wall and feel the “memory of the forest”.

    The Sylva memoria team became a shining example of active student participation in the life of the city and demonstrated the high level of preparation of students of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Institute of Civil Engineering to solve real-life design problems.

    SHANGHAI, June 23 (Xinhua) — The full-length film “Kara Kyzyl Sary” (Black, Red, Yellow), directed by Kyrgyz filmmaker Aktan Arym Kubat, won the top prize of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival, the Golden Cup.

    The closing ceremony of the festival took place on Saturday. The award in the nomination “Best Film” was presented to the Kyrgyz director by the chairman of the jury, the famous film director Giuseppe Tornatore. The performers of the leading roles Nargiza Mamatkulova and Aigul Busurmankulova also appeared on stage.

    According to Kyrgyz media, the film’s plot centers on the life of a weaver whose carpets become a reflection of the fates of the people for whom they are created. In her hands, these products turn into mirrors showing the fates of their owners. The director noted that the main character’s love story unfolds against the backdrop of the collapse of the USSR, when significant changes were taking place in both the political and spiritual spheres, which exacerbated human feelings.

    Vladivostok, June 23 (Xinhua) — The first flight of China’s Juneyao Air from Shanghai arrived in Vladivostok, the administrative center of Russia’s Primorsky Krai, on Monday, the Russian city’s international airport reported on its website.

    Juneyao Air opened a direct flight from Shanghai to Vladivostok on June 23. On the morning of this day, the first Juneyao Air flight from Shanghai was greeted with a water arch at Vladivostok airport.

    The new route uses an Airbus 321 aircraft in a two-class configuration. Flights in the summer schedule are performed twice a week on Mondays and Fridays to Shanghai Pudong Airport. Flight time from Vladivostok to Shanghai is 3 hours 30 minutes.

    Taking into account the new Juneyao Air flights, the frequency on the Vladivostok-Shanghai route will reach 8 flights per week. At the moment, flights from Vladivostok airport to the Chinese metropolis are also operated by Russian airlines Rossiya and S7 Airlines. –0–

    The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB) today (June 23) jointly organised the launch ceremony for the “Smart Seniors Anti-Scam Ambassador Programme” at Nga Yin Association Neighbourhood Elderly Centre of the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council to kick start the anti-scam publicity programme for the elderly in the second half of the year.

    The HKMA and the banking industry have been conducting anti-scam education and publicity through various channels. The “Smart Seniors Anti-Scam Ambassador Programme” aims to enhance the anti-scam awareness of the elderly. Through visits to elderly centres across all 18 districts in Hong Kong, the programme encourages the elderly to become anti-scam ambassadors and share scam prevention messages with their family and friends.

    At the launch ceremony, the HKMA introduced “Money Safe” and other anti-scam measures. With the support of the banking industry, 14 banks (see Annex) will implement interim “Money Safe” measures for the elderly and other customers (Note) by the end of June to provide extra protection to bank deposits. All retail banks will fully implement “Money Safe” by the end of this year.

    Two promotional videos themed after vintage Cantonese movies were debuted at the event. The videos deploy the mnemonic “Three Anti-Scam Tactics” – “Keep Calm, Give Nothing, Verify and Seek Help”, and remind the elderly that scams are often old tricks in new disguises.

         Deputy Chief Executive of the HKMA Mr Arthur Yuen said, “The HKMA attaches great importance to scam prevention work for the elderly. Through the ‘Smart Seniors Anti-Scam Ambassador Programme’, we hope to reach out to the community and convey anti-scam messages to more seniors through the elderly ambassadors. We also encourage the elderly to make good use of ‘Money Safe’ and various anti-scam measures provided by banks to better protect themselves.”

         The Chairperson of the HKAB, Ms Mary Huen, said, “Strengthening consumer and investor protection is a top priority for the HKAB. The banking industry has been working closely with the HKMA on anti-fraud efforts and actively implementing measures to ensure the smooth launch of ‘Money Safe’. Earlier this year, we established a dedicated ‘Anti-Fraud Education Taskforce’ to co-ordinate diverse outreach activities and educational programmes targeting various vulnerable groups within the community. We expect over 100 relevant activities will be arranged throughout the year to comprehensively enhance public awareness of fraud prevention.”

  • MIL-OSI Security: Officers investigating a fatal collision in Bexley appeal for public’s help

    The Met is appealing for witnesses after a man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a collision in Bexley.

    At approximately 23:00hrs on Saturday, 21 June, a car collided with a fence at the junction of Hurst Road with Glenhurst Avenue.

    A 70-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by the London Ambulance Service. His next of kin have been informed.

    A 67-year-old woman, who was taken to hospital by London’s Air Ambulance, suffered life-changing injuries and remains in a critical condition.

    The driver – a 26-year-old man – was arrested shortly after the incident for causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was taken to custody for questioning.

    Detective Sergeant Rob Harris, from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

    “As our enquiries continue, we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.

    “Did you witness the collision? If you think you might have caught any dash cam or mobile phone footage of the incident, or the time leading up to it, please contact the police as soon as possible.”

    The family of a woman who was stabbed to death in Hackney have paid tribute to her.

    A murder investigation was launched following the death of Annabel Rook at a house in Dumont Road, Hackney.

    In a statement, Annabel’s family said:

    “The family are struggling to come to terms with this terrible tragedy. We have lost our beautiful daughter, sister, friend and mother. Annabel was a truly wonderful woman. She touched the hearts of so many.

    “She gave her life to helping the vulnerable and the disadvantaged whether it was in refugee camps in Africa or setting up MamaSuze in London, to enhance the lives of survivors of forced displacement and gender-based violence.

    “We would really appreciate it if our privacy could be respected.”

    Officers were called at 04:57hrs on Tuesday, 17 June to reports of a gas explosion with a person trapped inside the address.

    Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.

    Annabel, 46 was found inside the property with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was sadly declared dead at the scene.

    A 44-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of murder. He was taken to hospital before later being discharged into police custody where he remains.

    Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.

    A recent report by wealth management firm Equirus has underlined India’s structural economic strengths, stating the country is poised to outpace G7 economies in the coming years. The report suggests that global capital can no longer afford to ignore India’s evolving economic landscape.

    According to Equirus, India’s growth is being powered by strong macroeconomic fundamentals, government-led capital expenditure, a revival in rural consumption, and a structural shift in manufacturing. These factors, the report notes, are positioning India favourably amid a globally uncertain economic environment.

    Equirus Credence Family Office CEO Mitesh Shah said India is no longer just the fastest-growing economy on paper, but is structurally better placed than most of the G7 nations. He described this as a “seismic shift” in global economic dynamics. Highlighting the shift in global macro trends, Shah pointed out that India is expected to contribute over 15 per cent to global GDP growth between 2025 and 2030, whereas traditional global investment strategies are beginning to falter.

    The report outlines how India is benefiting from critical structural trends. These include a significant uptick in rural demand, where FMCG consumption in rural areas grew by 6 per cent, compared to 2.8 per cent in urban regions. In addition, government-led capital expenditure is set to increase by 17.4 per cent, alongside a Rs 2.5 lakh crore liquidity infusion currently underway.

    Over the last decade, the monthly per capita expenditure gap between rural and urban households has narrowed from 84 per cent to 70 per cent, further supporting the case for a consumption-led recovery in the Indian economy.

    Equirus also questions the continued relevance of the traditional 60/40 portfolio strategy, which divides assets between equities and bonds. In an increasingly fragmented global financial landscape, the report argues, dynamic and geography-spanning asset allocation is not just advisable but essential for both capital preservation and alpha generation.

    India’s rising global economic stature is evident in its growing contribution to global GDP growth, which now significantly exceeds that of Japan and Germany. The report also highlights broader global shifts that support India’s rise, including a decline of around 6 per cent in the Dollar Index (DXY) from its 2025 peak and stable crude oil prices near $70 per barrel, both of which help ease India’s import burden.

    On the manufacturing front, the report notes the gradual materialisation of the ‘China +1’ strategy. With multinational corporations like Apple moving parts of their iPhone production to India, the country is gaining from favourable cost structures, lower attrition rates, and stronger geopolitical alignment.

    India’s post-election economic outlook is also bolstered by a capex push led by both central and state governments. With a 17.4 per cent rise in capital spending and liquidity support via phased CRR cuts, the report sees these developments as a key force behind India’s economic momentum.

  • Khamenei vows punishment for Israel, no mention of US attack on Iran

    Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Monday, in his first reaction following the US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, said that the punishment for Israel, referred to as the “Zionist enemy,” will continue.

    Calling the attacks “a big crime,” Khamenei warned of retaliation.

    Talking to X, he said, “The punishment continues. The Zionist enemy has made a big mistake, committed a big crime; it must be punished, and it is being punished; it is being punished right now.”

    The US strikes followed Israeli attacks launched on June 13 on various targets in Iran, including nuclear and military sites, killing several senior commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, Xinhua news agency reported.

    Iran has retaliated with missile and drone strikes on Israel. As of Saturday, more than 400 people have been killed and over 3,500 wounded in Iran, according to the Iranian Health Ministry. In Israel, authorities reported 24 fatalities.

    Late on Sunday, in the central Isfahan province, an Israeli drone strike killed three people in an ambulance, Iran’s ISNA news agency reported.

    The governor of Najafabad county, Hamidreza Mohammadi Fesharaki, was quoted by the agency as saying the vehicle was transporting a patient when it was hit.

    He reportedly added that all occupants, including the driver, patient, and companion, were killed.

    Earlier on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that Israel would press ahead with its operations. “Israel will continue to operate at full tilt in both Iran and Gaza,” he said, vowing not to be “dragged into a war of attrition.”

    “We will not stop this historic operation before we achieve our goals,” Netanyahu stated.

    Meanwhile, the Iranian Parliament has voted in support of closing the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil transit chokepoints, a day after US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, according to media reports.

    Any final decision on retaliation, however, will rest with the country’s Supreme National Security Council, Khamenei.

    The parliament vote merely advises him of the option to pursue.

    The US strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites – dubbed “Operation Midnight Hammer”-in Isfahan, Fordow, and Natanz mark the first direct involvement of America in the escalating crises between Iran and Israel.

    The action has received backlash, with many citing the lack of Congressional approval for the military move.

After setting out alone to find her dad, Bada is swallowed by a whale, which takes her to its dark belly where she dances with various glowing underwater creatures.

         The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Christopher Hui, said, “The Government has been closely monitoring the market situation in the money lending sector to continuously review and enhance the prevailing regulatory measures, so as to induce more responsible lending behaviour among money lenders. We have proposed a number of measures in the consultation paper, with a view to stepping up efforts in addressing the issue of excessive borrowing and better protecting the public interest.”
     
         The consultation paper sets out key features of various proposed measures, including enhancing regulation of unsecured personal loans, strengthening protection for loan referees, optimising and improving the affordability assessment on borrowers in respect of unsecured personal loans, strengthening the complaint handling process, stepping up publicity and education, and enhancing the regulatory regime of money lenders.
     
         Members of the public are invited to give views on the proposals in the consultation paper. The FSTB will fully consider the comments received when finalising the proposals.

    The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund Council is inviting applications for its overseas fellowships and scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year.

     

    The fellowships and scholarships aim to encourage outstanding students to pursue further studies at reputable institutions overseas.

     

    Successful candidates are expected to contribute to Hong Kong and be ready to give back to the community upon graduation.

     

    The fellowships are for studies leading to postgraduate degrees either by research or coursework. The maximum value of a fellowship is $300,000 per year, tenable for up to three years for a doctoral degree or two years for a master’s degree.

     

    The scholarships are for studies leading to undergraduate degrees with a maximum value of a scholarship $280,000 per year, tenable for up to three years.

     

    Applicants are responsible for fulfilling all application procedures and admission requirements of the academic institutions of their choice.

     

    The application period will end on September 5 and shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend interviews in Hong Kong. The first round of interviews is scheduled for December this year or January next year.
