This year Center for the preparation of foreign students HSE University is turning 10 years old. Applicants from other countries take a year-long course here to prepare for admission to Russian universities. HSE teachers help future students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully master a higher education program in Russia.

Many graduates of the center choose to enroll in the Higher School of Economics, and some later become its employees.

As part of the annual course, the center’s students can study Russian, get to know Russian culture and traditions better, and attend seminars on thematic subjects: mathematics, physics, computer science, literature, history, social studies, and others. Upon completion of the program, the center’s graduates have the opportunity to receive a discount on tuition fees at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Graduates of the Center for the Preparation of Foreign Students told Vyshka.Glavnoe about their decision to come to Russia and study at the Higher School of Economics.

Nemanja Stepanov, graduate of the Master’s programInternational Relations: European and Asian Studies» HSE, analyst Center for Mediterranean Studies HSE

    Why am I here?

    — I came from Serbia, from Belgrade, because I wanted to study international relations, especially relations between Serbia and Russia, as well as Russian policy in South-Eastern Europe. Historical relations between our countries have been good, the people of Serbia perceive Russia as the most reliable ally and consider Russians a brotherly people, but they do not fully understand the specifics of Russia and Russian policy. That is why I came here to study this area.

    About preparation for admission

    — A professor from Serbia recommended HSE to me, and I applied. Before entering the first year of the master’s program, I had to learn Russian, because the program was in Russian, so I arrived a year earlier and entered the Center for the Preparation of Foreign Students. At first, we studied only Russian, then they began to distribute us according to the specialties that we planned to study in the future.

I can’t say it was difficult to learn the language, but it was intense. Serbian is a Slavic language, so it was easier for me than for others whose native language is not in this group. But sometimes it was a problem: for example, the same word can mean different things in Serbian and Russian.

    About studying at HSE

    — After my master’s degree, I entered postgraduate studies, so I am now in my second year of postgraduate studies. I began collaborating with the Center for Mediterranean Studies on various projects from my first year of master’s studies. At the moment, I am working under the supervision of Ekaterina Gennadyevna Entina, who was my academic supervisor in my master’s degree and is now in postgraduate studies. For me, HSE is an opportunity to work in a field that interests me, with good people.

Sachin Malhotra, a student of the Master’s programData Science» HSE, Head of the Commission HSE Student Council for work with foreign students

About moving to Russia and HSE

    — I am from India, from the city of Agra, famous for its Taj Mahal. I chose Russia and HSE because I was looking for a quality education in Data Science. HSE has a strong academic reputation, an international environment, and a modern approach to teaching. I also wanted to experience another culture and challenge myself by learning a new language and being in an unfamiliar environment.

About the Center for the Preparation of Foreign Students

    — I decided to take a preparatory year at HSE to gain at least a level of Russian that would be sufficient for everyday communication. This is critical for any international student, especially since many people outside of the university do not speak English. As part of the program, I studied Russian, both grammar and conversation, as well as mathematics and history. This gave me the opportunity to build a solid foundation in the language that I used not only in the classroom but also in everyday life. The program also gave me the chance to meet students from different countries, some of whom became my close friends.

    About the Russian language

    — I have been studying Russian for two years now — one year as part of the preparatory year and one year as a Master’s student. At first, it was quite difficult. Russian itself is a challenge, and the academic standards at HSE are very high, which also pushed me to improve the language. But in the end, this environment contributed to my growth not only in the language, but also in my academic performance in general. It made me more confident and prepared for university life in Russia.

    After the preparatory year

    — Afterwards, I enrolled in the Master’s program in Data Science at HSE. The academic experience was intense. The program is well-structured, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills in machine learning, programming, and statistical analysis. The teachers are highly qualified, and the international environment facilitates collaboration and exchange of experience with like-minded people. Although sometimes challenging, this experience significantly deepened my understanding of data science and prepared me for future professional challenges.

Nevena Boskovic, graduate of the Master’s programInternational Relations: European and Asian Studies» HSE University

About admission to HSE and studies

    — I am from Belgrade, Serbia. I moved to Moscow in January 2021. I made this decision thanks to the Russian House in Belgrade. I had an idea to study Russian, and when I visited the Russian House, I learned about the possibility of receiving a scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. I was interested in the International Relations program, and the Russian House staff suggested that I enroll in Faculty of World Economy and World Politics at the HSE.

I thought that studying would be very difficult and it would be hard to adapt. But it turned out that HSE has magical teachers who have a lot of knowledge and from whom I took a lot for myself. I would especially like to mention the wonderful teacher Dmitry Vyacheslavovich Suslov and my scientific supervisor Ekaterina Gennadyevna Entina: they encouraged me during the writing and defense of my master’s thesis.

    About adaptation

    — It is important for every foreign student to adapt and understand the language in a foreign country. The Center for the Preparation of Foreign Students helped me a lot, and I easily learned the basics of Russian. In addition, I studied Russian culture, literature, and history. All this is important to understand another nation.

    About the Russian language

    — For the first six months, I studied it online from Serbia (there was a pandemic at the time), and then I moved to Moscow and continued studying it. I can say that I managed to learn the language in a year. Of course, it was much easier for me because Russians and Serbs are Slavic peoples, we have many similar words.

I wanted to learn the language well, and so I chose a program in Russian at the faculty: lectures, presentations, exams, and the master’s thesis itself were in Russian. I believe that I succeeded in all this thanks to a good language teacher and a good program at the Center for the Preparation of Foreign Students.

  • MIL-OSI Europe: Briefing – Artificial intelligence in asylum procedures in the EU – 07-07-2025

    Source: European Parliament 2

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are increasingly used in the areas of migration and asylum. These technologies promise to increase efficiency, reduce uncertainty and improve decision-making. In the asylum context, AI applications are meant to reduce pressure on national asylum systems and contribute to fairer and more consistent asylum decisions. Despite potential benefits, these technologies come with significant risks. Inaccurate or biased AI applications may jeopardise the right to asylum, increase or reinforce discrimination, and diminish procedural safeguards built into the asylum process. These risks depend on the type and complexity of applications used, their role in asylum procedures, and the way in which decision-makers interact with technologies. Although the deployment of AI applications in EU asylum systems is still in the early stages, the debate about the legal, social and ethical challenges posed by these new technologies is well under way. For instance, several Member States have started using AI technologies for dialect recognition to verify information, or obtain further information, on asylum applicants’ country or region of origin. There are also examples of Member States using AI applications for name transliteration, automatic transcription of speeches and case matching. The introduction of AI technologies in EU asylum systems raises several major risks, relating to: (i) inaccuracies, bias and discrimination; (ii) undermining fairness and due process; and (iii) unlawful interference with privacy and data protection.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, July 07, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ethereum’s meme coin spotlight is rapidly shifting to LILPEPE, as the project captures growing attention with its presale surpassing $4 million. Positioned as the next major player in the meme coin space, LILPEPE blends iconic internet culture with a purpose-built Layer 2 blockchain, offering a fast, low-cost, and scalable alternative within Ethereum’s ecosystem. Little Pepe — A New Meme Project on Ethereum

Memes have always been a driving force in crypto, but the narrative is shifting. No longer just a joke or trend, meme tokens like $LILPEPE are becoming cultural assets with real staying power. Unlike past cycles dominated by speculative plays, Little Pepe brings personality, purpose, and a growing user base rooted in Ethereum’s evolving meme coin ecosystem.

$LILPEPE isn’t trying to copy other meme projects—it’s creating its own path. With Pepe symbolism at the center and a distinct Layer 2 blockchain underneath, the project merges iconic internet energy with next-gen crypto technology. This combination is turning heads and winning over both meme lovers and serious crypto observers.

What gives $LILPEPE an edge in a sea of meme tokens is its underlying Layer 2 EVM-compatible chain—a network designed to support fast, low-cost transactions without leaving Ethereum’s orbit. This isn’t just for show. The infrastructure gives Little Pepe the ability to grow beyond virality and into something users can actually engage with day-to-day.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Robotic revolution at construction of largest railway station in western China

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: People’s Republic of China in Russian – People’s Republic of China in Russian –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

CHONGQING, July 7 (Xinhua) — A week after the official opening of a new section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway, a key transportation hub on the route, Chongqing East Railway Station in southwest China, has been put into operation.

From the receipt of design documents in May 2022 to the official opening of the facility, it took 38 months to complete the largest high-speed railway station in western China. Behind this grandiose project are the heroes left behind the scenes – robots.

According to Sun Haoran, project manager for the station from China Railway Construction Engineering Group (CRCEG), the station serves as a pilot project for “integrating a station into an urban environment” as part of the country’s efforts to strengthen transportation infrastructure.

Located in Nan’an District of Chongqing, the station has 15 platforms and 29 tracks. The eight-story station building occupies a total construction area of 1.22 million square meters, equivalent to 170 standard football fields. The roof area of the facility is about 120,000 square meters, and its weight reaches 16,500 tons.

“The scale of the station roof alone is colossal, making the construction complex and associated with high safety risks,” Sun Haoran said.

Indeed, in this city, where temperatures regularly reach 40 degrees Celsius during the scorching summer sun, building a large-scale transport hub on difficult terrain requires innovation.

Robots have made a quiet revolution, transforming traditional construction work in extreme conditions.

“Leveling the surface in 40-degree heat used to result in workers fainting from heatstroke,” said Huang Pingqing, a project manager at the 11th Bureau of China Railway.

“Now laser robots perform this work with millimetre accuracy three times faster than a human, reducing labour costs by 40 percent,” he added.

“At the same time, in this mountainous area, which is as hot as a furnace in the summer, steel does not sweat,” he added, and proudly presented his “robotic army.”

Four-wheeled laser leveling machines equipped with lidar, AI algorithms and 5G connectivity have replaced manual concrete leveling. While workers remotely monitor them from cool shelters, the robots’ precision work reduces waste.

Patrol robots, regardless of night or rain, work around the clock. Using AI vision, they detect the absence of helmets or incorrectly parked cars within a radius of 100 meters during the day or 50 meters at night, reducing the time to detect violations by 90 percent and increasing the efficiency of quality control by four times, he noted.

Glass installation robots handle 800-kilogram panels for high-rise facades. Precision servo drives position massive glass units with millimeter accuracy, speeding up installation three times and reducing the risk of accidents by 90 percent compared to the manual lifting of giant glass units by dozens of workers.

All-round welding robots were used to join overhead pipelines. Capable of controlling movement with an accuracy of 0.1 mm, they sealed the joint of an 800 mm diameter steel pipe in two hours – three times faster than the manual method – ensuring consistent quality of work carried out at height.

“Robots free our teams from working in unbearable heat,” Huang Pingqing emphasized. “They are not just something, but important and irreplaceable partners.”

Data from the 11th Bureau of China Railway Corporation confirmed that robotics has tripled average labor productivity and nearly halved labor costs.

In addition, safety-related accidents have been reduced by 90 percent, despite summer heat waves regularly testing the limits of construction capabilities in the city’s challenging terrain, including record temperatures in 2022 and 2024 that saw traditional construction sites suspend work during daylight hours.

“This is how technology serves people – building faster, safer and smarter even in Chongqing’s ‘firebox,’” Huang Pinqing said.

The mountainous metropolis is also accelerating its adoption of automation to transform infrastructure development and beyond.

According to the Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission, in recent years the city has developed action plans to promote the application of robots and develop future industries, laying the institutional foundation for the development of the robotics industry.

By 2024, the city’s robot production capacity exceeded 60,000 units, and the total output value of the entire production chain exceeded 37 billion yuan (about 5.17 billion US dollars).

At the same time, the city is forming a cluster of intelligent equipment that is internationally competitive.

At present, Chongqing has gathered more than 300 key robotics enterprises and established 31 R&D platforms, including the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Robotics Testing Center.

This has resulted in the creation of a comprehensive ecosystem covering R&D, manufacturing, testing, systems integration, component supply, training and application services. -0-

  • MIL-OSI Africa: ”Early Testing Saves Lives,” First Lady stresses at Free Health Screening for vulnerable groups

    Source: APO – Report:

    .

First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, on Friday, addressed beneficiaries at a comprehensive free public health screening event, emphasising the vital importance of early testing and proactive health management, especially for vulnerable populations within the community.

The event, a collaboration between the Office of the First Lady and the Ghana AIDS Commission, provided essential health services to various community members, including hairdressers, tailors, head-porters (kayayee), and market women.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Mahama underscored the purpose of the outreach. “We are here for a very important reason. For the health of our people, especially young people, women, and vulnerable groups in our communities,” she stated. “We aim to raise awareness, offer free check-ups, provide medical advice and counselling, and help more people take care of their health.”

The First Lady said many people may be living with serious health conditions without realising it, making such screening exercises essential.

“Sometimes, people are living with these conditions and do not even know it. That is why today’s health screening is very important,” she explained. “It provides an opportunity to get tested free of charge, know about their health, and take the necessary steps to maintain their health.”

She stressed the life-saving potential of early detection. “Early testing saves lives. Knowing your health status early enables you to start treatment early and prevent serious complications. Testing early can also help us to protect our loved ones.”

“For example, when people living with HIV get to know their status early, they can receive the right care and support, which will make them live long and healthy lives. But this can only happen if you get tested.”

The free health services provided at the event included HIV and syphilis screening, BMI and nutrition counselling, blood pressure checks and assessments for other medical conditions, and breast cancer screening.

Beneficiaries received awareness training on HIV/AIDS preventive measures and the importance of early antenatal care to prevent mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy.

Directing her message towards the younger generation present, the First Lady called for greater health consciousness. “I want to address the young people here directly. You are the future of this country. Your energy, your dreams and your well-being matter,” she said.

“However, many young people today are falling ill, sometimes due to a lack of access to the right information, services, or support they need. That must change. And it starts with talking openly to people who can help you, and by having a medical check at least once a year.”

She encouraged attendees to take full advantage of the services offered free of charge. “Today, you can check your HIV status, your blood pressure and sugar levels, and even be screened for breast cancer, right here at this event, all for free… I therefore encourage you all to take advantage of these services. Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind. We are here for you.”

Mrs. Mahama also highlighted broader government efforts aimed at improving access to and outcomes in healthcare. She mentioned the recently launched Ghana Medical Trust Fund, also known as MahamaCares.

“When this fund is fully operational, it will bring relief to many people suffering from non-communicable diseases,” she noted, adding that it will help diagnose and treat conditions like heart illnesses, kidney disease, and various cancers.

She also referenced the upcoming Free Primary Healthcare Programme, which she said will “enhance awareness of the health status of our citizens and contribute to disease prevention.”

“Together, we can create a Ghana where every person knows their health status. Where every pregnant woman gets the care she needs, and where every child is born healthy and free from infection,” she stated.

    Source: Government of India (4)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called for strengthening multilateralism, deepening economic cooperation, and ensuring responsible governance of Artificial Intelligence during his address at the BRICS Outreach Summit in Brazil.

Addressing the session titled ‘Strengthening Multilateralism, Economic-Financial Matters, and Artificial Intelligence’, Prime Minister Modi thanked Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for inviting him to share India’s views with partner countries from Latin America, Africa and Asia.

“It is a great pleasure for me to participate in this meeting with my friends from the extended BRICS family. My heartfelt thanks to President Lula for giving me the opportunity to share my views with friendly countries of Latin America, Africa, and Asia in the BRICS Outreach Summit,” he said.

Highlighting the increasing relevance of BRICS in a changing global order, the Prime Minister said, “Our confidence in the diversity and multipolarity of the BRICS Group is our greatest strength. Today, as the world order faces pressures from all sides and the world is going through many challenges and uncertainties, the increasing relevance and influence of BRICS is natural. We should together consider how BRICS can become a guide for the multipolar world in the times to come.”

The Prime Minister put forward four key suggestions to strengthen BRICS cooperation.

Firstly, he underlined that economic cooperation within BRICS is progressing steadily, with the BRICS Business Council and BRICS Women Business Alliance playing an important role. He welcomed Brazil’s emphasis on reforms in the International Financial System under its presidency.

“In the form of BRICS New Development Bank, we have offered a strong and credible alternative to support the development aspirations of countries in the Global South. While approving projects, the NDB must focus on demand-driven approaches, long-term financial sustainability, and healthy credit rating. Strengthening our internal systems will further enhance the credibility of our call for reformed multilateralism,” he said.

Secondly, the Prime Minister said that the countries of the Global South have special expectations from BRICS and the group should work together to meet them.

“For instance, the BRICS Agricultural Research Platform, established in India, is a valuable initiative to enhance collaboration in agricultural research. It can become a medium for sharing research and best practices in topics such as agri-biotech, precision farming, and climate change adaptation. We can also extend its benefits to countries in the Global South,” he said.

He also highlighted India’s ‘One Nation, One Subscription’ initiative to expand access to academic resources and proposed a collective BRICS Science and Research Repository for the benefit of the Global South.

Thirdly, the Prime Minister called for cooperation to secure and strengthen supply chains for critical minerals and technologies. “It’s important to ensure that no country uses these resources for its own selfish gain or as a weapon against others,” he said.

Fourth, speaking on Artificial Intelligence, the Prime Minister stressed the need for global standards for responsible and ethical use of AI.

“In the 21st century, the progress and well-being of people largely depends on technology, especially Artificial Intelligence. On one hand, AI can greatly improve everyday life; while on the other hand, it also raises concerns about risks, ethics, and bias,” he noted.

He added, “India’s approach and policy on this topic are clear: We see AI as a medium to enhance human values and potential. Working on the mantra of ‘AI for All’, today we’re widely and actively using AI in sectors like agriculture, health, education, governance in India.”

He said equal focus must be given to addressing concerns and promoting innovation in AI governance. “Global standards must be created that can verify the authenticity of digital content, so that we can identify the source of the content and maintain transparency and prevent misuse,” he said, adding that the Leaders’ Statement on Global Governance of AI released at the meeting is a positive step in this direction.

Prime Minister Modi announced that India will host the AI Impact Summit next year and invited all partner countries to participate. “We hope for your active participation to make this summit a great success,” he said.

Reaffirming India’s commitment to the Global South, the Prime Minister said, “The Global South has many hopes from us. To fulfil them, we must follow the principle of ‘Lead by Example’. India is fully committed to working shoulder-to-shoulder with all our partners to achieve our common goals.”

  • MIL-OSI: Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Nokia partner to reduce energy demand and support AI-powered, sustainable operations

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

    Press Release
Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Nokia partner to reduce energy demand and support AI-powered, sustainable operations

    • Nokia Energy Efficiency, part of the company’s Autonomous Networks portfolio, will enable Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison to shut idle and unused radio equipment automatically during low network demand periods.
    • The agreement supports Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison’s commitment to sustainability and digital innovation, and its transformation into an AI-powered TechCo, building a smarter, greener, and more inclusive Indonesia.

    7 July 2025
Espoo, Finland – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH), Indonesia’s leading digital telecommunications company, has deployed Nokia Energy Efficiency, part of Nokia’s Autonomous Networks portfolio, to reduce energy demand and carbon dioxide emissions across its nationwide radio access network (RAN).

Using artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to analyse real-time traffic patterns, Nokia Energy Efficiency enables Indosat to adjust or shut idle and unused radio equipment automatically during low network demand periods. The solution, engineered with intelligent thermal management to cut network cooling energy needs, is available in a SaaS model that eliminates large up-front capital expenditure and avoids the need to perform on-site software maintenance and updates, contributing to greener network operations.

The multi-vendor, AI-driven energy management solution can reduce energy costs and carbon footprint with no negative impact on network performance or customer experience. It can be rolled out in a matter of weeks.

The initiative marks another critical step in Indosat’s broader transformation journey—from a conventional telecom operator into an AI TechCo—powered by intelligent technologies, cloud-based platforms, and a commitment to sustainability. By embedding automation and intelligence into network operations, Indosat is unlocking new levels of efficiency, agility, and environmental responsibility across its infrastructure.

“As data consumption continues to grow, so does our responsibility to manage resources wisely. This collaboration reflects Indosat’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable innovation, using AI to not only optimize performance, but also reduce emissions and energy use across our network.” said Desmond Cheung, Director and Chief Technology Officer, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.

Indosat’s commitment to sustainability has already earned it regional recognition. It was the first operator in Southeast Asia to achieve ISO 50001 certification for energy management—underscoring its pledge to minimize environmental impact through operational excellence. The collaboration with Nokia builds upon a successful pilot project, in which the AI-powered solution demonstrated its ability to reduce energy consumption in live network conditions.

Following the pilot project, Nokia deployed its Energy Efficiency solution to the entire Nokia RAN footprint in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Central and East Java.

“We are very pleased to be helping Indosat deliver on its commitments to sustainability and environmental responsibility, establishing its position both locally and internationally. Nokia Energy Efficiency reflects the important R&D investments that Nokia continues to make to help our customers optimize energy savings and network performance simultaneously,” said Henrique Vale, Vice President, Cloud and Network Services, APAC, Nokia.

Nokia’s Autonomous Networks portfolio, including its Autonomous Networks Fabric solution, utilizes Agentic AI to deliver advanced security, analytics, and operations capabilities that provide operators with a holistic, real-time view of the network so they can reduce costs, accelerate time-to-value, and deliver the best customer experience.

Autonomous Networks Fabric is a unifying intelligence layer that weaves together observability, analytics, security, and automation across every network domain; allowing a network to behave as one adaptive system, regardless of vendor, architecture, or deployment model.

WNS, a leader in the resilient high-growth and margin accretive Digital BPS market

WNS is a leading and trusted business transformation and services partner that uniquely blends deep industry knowledge with business process management, technology, analytics and AI expertise to create market differentiation for clients. With digital-led transformation solutions deployed to clients across 8 industries where it deploys its highly automated platforms to deliver stronger business outcomes, WNS is a leader in Digital Business Process Services (BPS). This operating model enables strategic engagements that are critical to clients’ daily operations materialized in long-term contracts with recurring revenues streams. Through an expanded ecosystem of partners and network of delivery centers, WNS serves a large portfolio of blue-chip clients, such as3 United Airlines, Aviva, M&T Bank, Centrica and McCain Foods.

The high-quality business model of WNS, supported by non-linear pricing models and superior profitability has driven a c.+9% constant currency revenue growth on average over the last 3 fiscal years4, to reach $1,266 million of revenue5 in fiscal year 20254 with an 18.7%6 operating margin.

Global organizations are in constant need of strategic partners to support their transformation to enhance efficiency and accelerate growth. This continues to be a key driver of the Digital BPS market and WNS targets revenue growth of +7% to +11% for FY2026.

    Immediate unlocking of value

This transaction will position Capgemini as a leader in Digital BPS blending horizontal and vertical process expertise, with a global footprint. With combined revenues of €1.9 billion in 2024 in Digital BPS, this will strengthen Capgemini’s ability to accompany clients on their business and technology transformation journeys.

The mix of WNS and Capgemini’s complementary offerings and clients will immediately unlock cross-selling opportunities. It will also lay down the foundations to build the capabilities to seize the Intelligent Operations strategic market opportunity.

Intelligent Operations – Agentic AI creates a paradigm shift that opens a strategic opportunity

The largest opportunity for global organizations to create value with Gen AI and Agentic AI lies in the fundamental redesign of their operations and business processes. It will attract a significant share of their AI investments as they seek to become AI-powered companies to lead their market. This is creating demand for a new type of business process services: Intelligent Operations.

Intelligent Operations answers these business needs, providing a consulting-led approach to transform and operate horizontal and vertical business processes leveraging Gen AI and Agentic AI. It addresses clients’ goal of efficiency, speed and agility through process hyper-automation, while significantly improving business outcomes by combining data, AI and digital.

AI technologies trigger a paradigm shift in delivering business process services: from labor-intensive services to being consulting-led and tech-driven. In parallel, client focus has shifted from efficiency gains toward end-to-end value creation and business outcomes, opening opportunities to add non-linear revenues (i.e. transaction-based, subscription-based or outcome-based models). This is creating a rapidly growing market opportunity.

Combining the capabilities and scale required to lead in Intelligent Operations

Both Capgemini and WNS are already pioneering Intelligent Operations. Capgemini with its consulting-led end-to-end transformation of processes, advanced AI tools and technology stacks, and BPS platforms, while WNS has developed a set of sector-specific AI-led solutions recently augmented by the acquisition of Kipi.ai7 to strengthen its data, analytics and AI capabilities.

The combination of Capgemini and WNS will act as a catalyst to lead in Intelligent Operations providing the required scale and unique set of capabilities from Strategy & Transformation consulting, to horizontal and sector expertise, platform offerings to deep AI and technology capabilities.

This combination will also leverage the significant investments made by Capgemini in AI through training, offers and its 25 strategic partnerships, including Microsoft, Google, AWS, Mistral AI and NVIDIA. The Group’s leadership is recognized by its clients, with over €900 million of Gen AI bookings in 2024, and by market analysts such as Forrester, IDC and ISG.

This transaction will reinforce Capgemini as a business and transformation partner to those enterprises who want to become AI-powered businesses.

    Value creation

Based on calendar year 2024 published information, the combined entities would have generated a revenue of €23.3 billion at a 13.6% operating margin6 in 2024.

The Group expects accretion to normalized EPS, before synergies from the combination, of 4% in 2026.

Capgemini expects revenue synergies run-rate of €100 million to €140 million by the end of 2027. Costs and operating model synergies are anticipated to reach an annual pretax run-rate of between €50 million and €70 million by the end of 2027.

With the benefits of these synergies, the accretion on normalized earnings per share should reach 7% in 2027.

    Smooth integration

WNS and Capgemini have a natural cultural fit and share common values that will facilitate a smooth integration of the teams, helped by the Group’s track record of successful integrations. Furthermore, the integration will be straightforward into Capgemini’s Global Business Services activities.

    Key transaction terms and timeline

The contemplated transaction will be implemented by way of a Court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under the laws of Jersey. The transaction has been unanimously approved by both Capgemini’s and WNS’ Boards of Directors.

The transaction is subject to approval by the Royal Court of Jersey and WNS’ shareholders, as well as to receipt of customary regulatory approvals and other conditions. The closing of the transaction is expected to occur by the end of the year.

Full details of the terms and conditions of the transaction are set out in the transaction agreement, which may be obtained, free of charge, on the SEC’s website (http://www.sec.gov) when available, and WNS’ website at https://www.WNS.com.

    Financing

Capgemini has secured a bridge financing of €4.0 billion, covering the purchase of securities ($3.3 billion), as well as the gross debt and similar obligations8 of around $0.4 billion and the €0.8 billion Capgemini bond redeemed in June 2025.

The Group plans to refinance the bridge with available cash for around €1.0 billion and the balance by debt issuance.

    Q2 and H1 2025 performance

The Group expects Q2 2025 year-on-year growth at constant currency to be slightly better than the -0.4% reported in Q1 2025. The Group also expects for H1 2025 the operating margin to be stable year-on-year at 12.4%.

Due to the nature and timing of this announcement, the actual Q2 and H1 2025 performance may slightly differ from the above-mentioned expectations. H1 2025 publication will take place as planned on July 30, 2025.

    Outlook

Capgemini’s financial targets for 2025 do not take into account this transaction and are therefore unchanged:

    • Revenue growth of -2.0% to +2.0% at constant currency;
    • Operating margin of 13.3% to 13.5%;
    • Organic free cash flow of around €1.9 billion.

  • Trump calls Musk’s formation of new party ‘ridiculous’ and criticizes his own NASA pick

President Donald Trump on Sunday called Elon Musk’s plans to form a new political party “ridiculous,” launching new barbs at the tech billionaire and saying the Musk ally he once named to lead NASA would have presented a conflict of interest given Musk’s business interests in space.

A day after Musk escalated his feud with Trump and announced the formation of a new U.S. political party, the Republican president was asked about it before boarding Air Force One in Morristown, New Jersey, as he returned to Washington upon visiting his nearby golf club.

“I think it’s ridiculous to start a third party. We have a tremendous success with the Republican Party. The Democrats have lost their way, but it’s always been a two-party system, and I think starting a third party just adds to confusion,” Trump told reporters.

“It really seems to have been developed for two parties. Third parties have never worked, so he can have fun with it, but I think it’s ridiculous.”

Shortly after speaking about Musk, Trump posted further comments on his Truth Social platform, saying, “I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks.”

Musk announced on Saturday that he is establishing the “America Party” in response to Trump’s tax-cut and spending bill, which Musk said would bankrupt the country.

“What the heck was the point of @DOGE if he’s just going to increase the debt by $5 trillion??” Musk wrote on X on Sunday, referring to the government downsizing agency he briefly led. Critics have said the bill will damage the U.S. economy by significantly adding to the federal budget deficit.

Musk said his new party would in next year’s midterm elections look to unseat Republican lawmakers in Congress who backed the sweeping measure known as the “big, beautiful bill.”

Musk spent millions of dollars underwriting Trump’s 2024 re-election effort and, for a time, regularly showed up at the president’s side in the White House Oval Office and elsewhere. Their disagreement over the spending bill led to a falling out that Musk briefly tried unsuccessfully to repair.

Trump has said Musk is unhappy because the measure, which Trump signed into law on Friday, takes away green-energy credits for Tesla’s electric vehicles. The president has threatened to pull billions of dollars Tesla and SpaceX receive in government contracts and subsidies in response to Musk’s criticism.

    NASA APPOINTMENT ‘INAPPROPRIATE’

Trump in his social media comments also said it was “inappropriate” to have named Musk ally Jared Isaacman as NASA administrator considering Musk’s business with the space agency. In December Trump named Isaacman, a billionaire private astronaut, to lead NASA but withdrew the nomination on May 31, before his Senate confirmation vote and without explanation.

Trump, who has yet to announce a new NASA nominee, on Sunday confirmed media reports he disapproved of Isaacman’s previous support for Democratic politicians.

“I also thought it inappropriate that a very close friend of Elon, who was in the Space Business, run NASA, when NASA is such a big part of Elon’s corporate life,” Trump said on Truth Social. “My Number One charge is to protect the American Public!”

Musk’s announcement of a new party immediately brought a rebuke from Azoria Partners, which said on Saturday it will postpone the listing of its Azoria Tesla Convexity exchange-traded fund because the party’s creation posed “a conflict with his full-time responsibilities as CEO.” Azoria was set to launch the Tesla ETF this week.

Azoria CEO James Fishback posted on X several critical comments about the new party and reiterated his support for Trump.

“I encourage the Board to meet immediately and ask Elon to clarify his political ambitions and evaluate whether they are compatible with his full-time obligations to Tesla as CEO,” Fishback said.
