  • MIL-OSI: RentRedi Survey: Smaller Landlords 60% More Likely to Enforce Renters Insurance

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

NEW YORK, June 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — A new joint survey from RentRedi, the fastest-growing landlord software that makes renting easy for everyone, and BiggerPockets, the largest online community for real estate investors, reveals that while most landlords understand the difference between renters insurance and landlord insurance, many still don’t require it—and even fewer take steps to verify it. These results, together with a companion survey conducted by RentRedi alone, highlight that many real estate investors are still exploring the best ways to implement and manage renters insurance within their rental process.

The joint survey with BiggerPockets, conducted from June 11–16, 2025, gathered responses from 812 real estate investors and property owners. When asked how they verify renters insurance coverage, half of respondents reported that they currently do not verify whether their tenants have renters insurance. The rest rely on a mix of manual checks, insurance company confirmations, or property management software, demonstrating that many landlords are still exploring the best ways to integrate renters insurance into their rental process.

This snapshot complements a broader RentRedi survey conducted from March 30 to April 14, 2025 with 1,623 respondents that analyzes landlord behavior across portfolio sizes. The data shows that more than three-fourths of landlords understand the difference between landlord and renters insurance. However, only about one in five landlords offer renters insurance options directly to tenants, and fewer than half include renters insurance as a requirement in the lease.

Verification and enforcement also vary widely. Roughly four in ten landlords said they follow up to confirm tenants have active coverage, and among those who include a requirement in the lease, the majority—nearly three out of four—said they enforce it. These numbers reflect a growing interest in formalizing and standardizing renters insurance policies as landlords seek to reduce risk and increase protection for both themselves and their tenants.

Interestingly, landlords with smaller portfolios (1–4 units) were more likely to require and enforce renters insurance. Nearly six in ten small landlords said they include renters insurance in the lease, and four out of five of those said they enforce that requirement. While larger portfolio landlords (20+ units) were less likely to include or enforce these requirements by 22 and 15 point margins respectively, they may benefit most from automation and integrated software solutions to help manage renters insurance at scale.

“Renters insurance protects everyone involved. It minimizes financial risk, reduces liability, and gives both landlords and tenants greater peace of mind,” said RentRedi Co-founder and CEO Ryan Barone. “These results show that landlords recognize the value but often lack a streamlined way to implement it, and that’s exactly the problem that RentRedi solves.”

With RentRedi, landlords can easily offer renters insurance options during the application and onboarding process, require proof of coverage within the lease, and automatically verify compliance. Tenants can purchase renters insurance directly through RentRedi’s app, or upload proof of an existing policy, and landlords are notified instantly. RentRedi also integrates with select providers to enable real-time tracking and add landlords as additional insured when needed. The result is a simpler, smarter way for landlords to protect their investments, while also delivering a better experience for tenants.

In both surveys, percentages have been rounded to the nearest whole number. The full survey results can be found here. This report is part of RentRedi’s ongoing initiative to surface real-world insights from landlords and property managers through data, direct surveys, and collaborations with trusted communities like BiggerPockets. • MIL-OSI: Bitcoin Solaris Gains Momentum with Confirmed LBank Exchange Listing

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

TALLINN, Estonia, June 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bitcoin Solaris (BTC-S) has officially confirmed its upcoming listing on LBank, a leading centralized exchange known for accelerating the visibility and accessibility of promising digital assets. This announcement marks a major milestone in the Bitcoin Solaris roadmap, offering new liquidity opportunities for token holders and opening the door to global trading participation ahead of its public launch.

Why LBank Listing Is a Game-Changer for Bitcoin Solaris

LBank isn’t just another exchange. It’s a global launchpad for emerging crypto projects. With its strong community, aggressive marketing, and track record of igniting early token momentum, getting listed on LBank can instantly elevate a project’s credibility, exposure, and trading volume.

For Bitcoin Solaris, this isn’t just a listing. It’s a strategic move that opens the floodgates for new investor capital ahead of its price jump from $9 to a confirmed $20 launch. And with over 12,300 unique presale participants already locked in, the LBank listing comes at the perfect time to ride that wave of momentum into secondary markets.

Bitcoin Solaris: Built to Outpace the Old Guard

Bitcoin Solaris operates on real-world delivery. It’s not just a whitepaper promise. It’s a dual-layer blockchain already tested to support:

    • 10,000 transactions per second
    • 2-second finality
    • 99.95% energy savings compared to Bitcoin
    • Solana-level speed with Bitcoin-grade trust

The base layer runs Proof-of-Work for unmatched decentralization, while the Solaris Layer uses Delegated Proof-of-Stake for blazing-fast execution. This hybrid design is what makes BTC-S both secure and scalable, a rare combination.

From Zero to Wealth: How BTC-S Levels the Crypto Playing Field

LBank Fuels What Crypto Vlog Calls “The Perfect Entry Point”

Influencer channels are buzzing about Bitcoin Solaris. Crypto Vlog, a respected voice in crypto reviews, recently released a full segment covering BTC-S’s presale strength, mobile-first mining model, and now the major catalyst that is the LBank listing.

The review emphasizes how the listing could dramatically improve market depth, provide exposure to new retail and institutional buyers, and potentially trigger a liquidity surge during its first trading hours. For a project already trending, this is the match to the fuel.

Mobile Mining and the New Wealth Paradigm

Bitcoin Solaris lets users earn BTC-S tokens directly from their phones through the upcoming Solaris Nova app. This one-click mining interface supports:

    • Smartphones (iOS/Android)
    • Desktops and laptops
    • ASIC and GPU setups

Users can preview earnings through the mining calculator, giving a real-time view of what mining participation can generate. And with the upcoming LBank liquidity, those tokens can now flow directly into global trading markets, no complex bridge required.

Tokenomics: Designed for Demand and Scarcity

Bitcoin Solaris follows a hard-capped 21 million supply model, mimicking Bitcoin’s deflationary success while adding modern distribution logic:

    • 66.66% allocated for mining (over 90 years)
    • 20% allocated to presale
    • 13.34% for liquidity and ecosystem expansion

This structure ensures BTC-S isn’t just a short-term pump. It’s built for longevity, rewarding both miners and long-term holders.

The Countdown to LBank: What Comes Next?

Now that the LBank listing has been confirmed, Bitcoin Solaris is entering its next evolutionary phase:

    • Global trading opens for BTC-S
    • Wider audience gain across Asia, Europe, and LATAM
    • Accelerated roadmap execution: from testnet to full mainnet deployment
    • More exchange listings are already in negotiation

Presale Frenzy: Phase 9 Heats Up with Over 12,300 Users Onboard

Bitcoin Solaris isn’t just getting listed. It’s doing so while riding the momentum of one of the most explosive presales in crypto history. Currently in phase 9, BTC-S is priced at $9, with the final phase at $10 and a confirmed launch price of $20. That’s a 150% projected return, and it’s not speculation. It’s simple math.

    This is a limited-time event:

    • Bonus: 7% on all current purchases
    • Launch Date: July 31, 2025
    • Over 12,300+ participants already locked in
    • More than $5 million raised and counting
    • Less than 6 weeks remain before doors close

With the LBank listing around the corner, buyers are racing to grab BTC-S before it hits open markets and the price doubles. If you missed TRON under a penny or Solana under a dollar, this could be your moment to rewrite the playbook.

    Final Word

With a strategic exchange partnership confirmed and a robust ecosystem in place, Bitcoin Solaris is rapidly shifting from early-stage token to fully operational blockchain platform. The upcoming LBank listing is not just a moment of market entry—it’s the start of a new phase of accessibility, growth, and real-world use.

As the final presale phase concludes and launch day draws closer, early supporters are positioning themselves ahead of the transition into global trading.

  • MIL-OSI: Zeelo Raises $23M Series B to Accelerate AI-Powered Transportation-as-a-Service Growth in North America, UK & Ireland

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

LONDON and BOSTON, June 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Zeelo, the category-leading Transportation-as-a-Service (TaaS) provider for employers and schools offering mobility as a benefit, today announced the close of its $23 million Series B funding round. The round was led by impact investor Blue Earth Capital, with participation from existing investors including Direttissima Growth Partners and Peter Bauer’s family office. The new capital will be used to strengthen Zeelo’s profitable market leadership in the UK and Ireland, accelerate commercial growth in North America, enhance its proprietary routing software and AI-powered transport management platform, and pursue further strategic M&A following the successful acquisition of UK competitor Kura in 2024.

Zeelo provides daily commuter transportation to help reduce employee turnover and cut carbon emissions, leveraging a network of 650+ vetted third-party operator partners with access to over 10,000 vehicles. It is trusted by some of the world’s largest employers and school groups, including Amazon, Barclays, and UPS, and has delivered over 175% year-on-year revenue growth in North America, alongside profitability in its core UK & Ireland market. The company’s AI-powered virtual transportation management workflow, which automates route design, incident management, and customer support, is at the heart of its service – enabling greater operational efficiency, lower cost-to-serve, and a significantly enhanced customer experience. This “human-centric” AI approach ensures technology serves both riders and operations teams without removing the personal touch that defines Zeelo’s high service standards.

“Our mission is to empower opportunity through sustainable transportation,” said Sam Ryan, Co-Founder & CEO of Zeelo. “With this new investment, we’re scaling our impact – delivering inclusive mobility programs that not only reduce CO₂ emissions and car dependency, but also connect people to work and education in areas not served by public transit. Our proprietary tech platform and AI-powered operations are driving incredible ROI for customers, while our team continues to raise the bar for service quality. £1.6m lost to gig ticket scams as public urged to take caution

Gig-goers have been urged to be wary of scams when purchasing last-minute tickets on social media after £1.6 million was lost to ticket fraud in 2024.

On the eve of Glastonbury, British music lovers are being urged to take caution over last-minute tickets for sale on social media, after new figures revealed that the amount lost to ticket fraud more than doubled to £1.6m in 2024.

The government has issued the warning as part of its wider crackdown on scammers and online fraud, designed to ensure money is kept in working people’s pockets, as part of the Plan for Change.

With a host of tours and festivals due to take place this summer, including the Oasis reunion tour kicking off in July, new Action Fraud data released by the Home Office today finds the public lost more than £1.6 million in scams related to concert tickets in 2024 – more than double the figure from the previous year.

Around 3,700 gig ticket fraud reports were made to Action Fraud in 2024, with almost half of them referring to offers made on social media platforms. The government has called on tech companies to go further and faster to protect the public from the fraudulent offers being advertised on their platforms.

The data shows that people in their twenties were most likely to become victims of ticket fraud last year, accounting for 27% of all victims, and the government has urged people to follow the government’s Stop! Think Fraud campaign advice to ensure they are protected from scams ahead of a busy summer of gigs and festivals.

    1. If you’re offered tickets for something in high demand don’t let the fear of missing out rush your decision. Take a moment to stop, think, and check if the offer is genuine.
    2. Only buy tickets from the venue’s box office or an official ticketing website.
    3. Never move away from an official payment platform to make a direct payment via bank transfer or virtual currency. Use the site’s recommended payment methods to stay protected.

With fraud the most commonly experienced crime in the UK, affecting 1 in 15 adults each year, the government is taking further steps to crack down on the scammers behind the surge in fraud over the last decade, including through a new ban on SIM farms, technical devices which facilitate fraud on an industrial scale.

The UK is also driving the response to fraud internationally through the adoption of the first ever UN resolution on fraud and has launched the first ever Insurance Fraud Charter to reduce fraud against the sector and consumers. The government will go further by publishing a new, expanded fraud strategy before the end of the year, which will place raising public awareness and working with tech companies at its heart.

This follows government plans to tackle greedy ticket touts through new measures announced earlier this year which will put a cap on the price of resold tickets for concerts, live sport and other events, to put the power back in the hands of fans.

    Fraud Minister Lord Hanson said:

Fraud is an absolutely shameful crime and today’s data shows that anyone can be a victim.

While millions of Britons are getting ready to attend concerts this summer, the scammers are getting ready to exploit the desperate search for tickets, posting fake messages on social media sites offering to resell tickets they can’t use, or making last-minute offers from fake ticket companies.

That is why our campaign is called Stop! Think Fraud, so no matter how real a deal looks, we all need to take a moment to think: am I being ripped off? So, let’s all stay cautious, stay alert, and stay protected from fraud. Don’t let the scammers ruin your summer.

Tor Garnett, City of London Police Commander for Cyber and Economic Crime, said:

People go to gigs for that ‘once in a lifetime’ experience – especially at sold out concerts and festivals, where the atmosphere is unmatched. But the excitement can vanish in an instant when fans discover their tickets are fake or they’ve been scammed through social media or resale sites. The loss isn’t just financial – it’s deeply emotional, turning anticipation into heartbreak.

Criminals are targeting those looking to snap up last minute or resale tickets for sold out and highly in-demand concerts this year, and Action Fraud reporting data highlights this increasing issue. That’s why we encourage everyone to stay alert and recognise the tactics fraudsters use to commit ticket fraud this summer.

Key signs of ticket fraud include unsolicited messages with ticket offers and deals, or requests for payment via bank transfer. When buying tickets, use a reputable or official ticket-selling site. Always take a moment to double check offers for tickets and pay using a credit card. Follow the advice from Stop! Think Fraud site on how to protect yourself from fraud.

National Coordinator for the National Trading Standards eCrime Team, Mike Andrews, said:

Every summer music fans desperate to see their favourite artists at festivals or stadium tours are left distraught and considerably out of pocket at the turnstiles as they discover the tickets they bought in good faith are in fact part of a fraudulent scam.

Recent National Trading Standards prosecutions have led to serious jail time for ticket touts, which should send a message to all those who choose to engage in fraud that there are severe consequences.

Fans should avoid buying from unofficial ticket sellers, but we know fans desperate for tickets will try to source them via any means possible. For fans who do risk using secondary sites, always use a credit card and never pay by money transfer or buy tickets on social media channels.

Founder of face-value ticket resale platform Twickets, Richard Davies, said:

We’ve seen firsthand how fraudsters attempt to exploit high-demand tours. In recent weeks alone, we’ve had to warn fans about multiple fake Twickets accounts and websites set up to trick Oasis fans into handing over money for non-existent tickets.

Scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated, often mimicking trusted resale platforms like ours or creating convincing social media profiles. It’s vital that fans stop and think before making a purchase. If a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is. Always check that the platform is an official resale partner, never buy tickets from unofficial sellers on social media or marketplaces and avoid anyone asking for payment via personal bank transfer.

Twickets was created to give fans a safer, fairer way to buy and sell tickets at face value, and we’ve already helped thousands of Oasis fans do just that ahead of the band’s upcoming tour. We’re committed to protecting fans and will continue to work hard to ensure ticketing remains transparent, trustworthy and scam-free.

    Source: City of Manchester

Mancunians across the city are expected to line the streets to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served in the armed forces for Armed Forces Day (28 June).

A parade made up of armed forces personnel, veterans and cadets will begin a procession that will proudly march together through the centre of Manchester.

The LA Band will officially signal the event opening at 11:00am swiftly followed by the vibrant parade starting in St Peter’s Square at 11:30am.

The Lord Mayor, Councillor Carmine Grimshaw, will then lead an inspection with dignitaries. Other esteemed guests in attendance will also be Councillor Tommy Judge and Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.

The Deputy Lieutenant will give a speech at 11:50am and the honorary celebrations will continue with an afternoon of live performances by the lively Lancashire Army Artillery Band and music hosted by BBC Radio DJ, Michelle Dignan, until 4:00pm.

Historic military displays, and stalls from organisations including the NHS, Royal British Legion, and the Council’s own Armed Forces Covenant will be in attendance to give visitors the opportunity to further support the Armed Forces community.

This year’s Armed Forces Day is particularly special because it marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE Day 8 May) and Victory over Japan (VJ Day 15 August).

As part of the ‘Thank You for Your Service’ campaign, a series of heartfelt video tributes will be broadcast throughout the day, offering a powerful expression of gratitude for the dedication, sacrifice, and service of the armed forces. These messages, shared across generations, reflect the deep personal impact of military service on individuals and families alike.

Visitors will also be invited to contribute their own messages of appreciation – whether for family members, friends, or colleagues who have served or are currently serving – creating a collective tribute of national thanks.

On the ground, history will come to life through a special pop-up Military Museum tent. Attendees can explore an engaging display of military vehicles, uniforms, artefacts, and personal stories that span the rich legacy of the British armed forces.

This immersive experience offers a rare opportunity to connect with the past, understand the evolution of military service, and honour those who have shaped the nation’s history through their courage and commitment.

Councillor Tommy Judge, Lead Member for Armed Forces, said: “Armed Forces Day is our opportunity to stand side by side with the incredible individuals who serve and have served in our armed forces. Their bravery, sacrifice and commitment do not go unnoticed, and this event is our heartfelt way of saying thank you.

“This year is very special as we are also honouring VE and VJ Day – two momentous moments in our armed forces history which we must not forget. I encourage everyone to join us for a day of pride, remembrance, and community.”

JERUSALEM/TEHRAN/NEW YORK, June 24 (Xinhua) — A ceasefire has come into effect after several waves of Iranian attacks on Israel, Iran’s Press TV reported on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli military said it had intercepted Iranian missiles, without giving an exact time of attack.

“Some time ago, sirens sounded in several areas of Israel after identifying missiles launched from Iran towards the State of Israel,” the military said in a statement posted on Telegram at around 5 a.m. local time. Iran has since launched several waves of missiles at Israel, according to Iranian state media.

Israeli airspace is closed to aircraft until further notice, the country’s airports authority said.

US President Donald Trump earlier said a ceasefire between the two sides would begin at around 04:00 GMT, with Iran set to cease its operations first.

The Islamic Republic’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had earlier said there was no “agreement” between Iran and Israel on a ceasefire. However, he said Iran was prepared to stop further retaliatory actions if Israeli attacks were stopped by 4 a.m. Tehran time.

“If Israel stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m., Iran does not intend to continue retaliatory actions after that,” the Foreign Minister wrote on the X website, adding that Tehran will make a final decision on ending military operations later.

The conflicting statements have left observers doubtful that a ceasefire has been implemented. As of Monday evening, neither Israel nor Iran had publicly confirmed any agreement. The White House and Pentagon have also made no official statements, and it remains unclear whether the announced truce had been discussed through diplomatic channels or whether the parties intend to adhere to its terms.

On Monday evening, Trump announced on his social network Truth Social that Israel and Iran had reached a formal agreement on a full and complete ceasefire, marking the end of the “12-day war.” According to him, the ceasefire will initially last for 12 hours, during which the warring parties intend to maintain “peace and respect.”

Calling the agreement a breakthrough that “could save the Middle East from years of destruction,” Trump concluded his statement with a call for unity. “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and God bless the world,” he wrote. –0– Oleg

  • MIL-OSI China: Classic Chinese martial arts films to be remade with AI

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li are set to appear on the big screen in AI-generated form, after a new initiative to remake 100 classic Chinese martial arts films using artificial intelligence was announced on June 19 at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF).

Leaders, executives, partners and guests pose for a photo at the launch of an initiative to remake classic kung fu films using artificial intelligence during the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival, Shanghai, June 19, 2025. [Photo courtesy of SIFF Organizing Committee]

For the first phase of the project, Shanghai Canxing Culture & Media Co. will license 10 classic Hong Kong kung fu films from its archive — including “A Better Tomorrow,” “Police Story,” “King of Beggars” and “Swordsman” — under the “All-time Kung Fu Legends Grand AI Revival of 100 Selected Chinese Kung Fu Epics” banner.

The company will collaborate with AI teams and animators to digitally reboot and adapt these martial arts classics.

Zhang Pimin, chairman of the China Film Foundation, said Chinese kung fu films are Chinese cultural treasures that capture the “chivalric spirit” that emphasizes the protection of the weak.

Zhang said the project will feature classics such as “Once Upon a Time in China” and “Fist of Fury” and marks an important step in blending traditional culture with modern innovation through AI.

“From Bruce Lee breaking cultural barriers with martial arts to Jackie Chan conquering the world with kung fu comedies, Chinese kung fu films have always been a golden brand for sharing China’s stories and values,” he said, urging cross-sector collaboration to carry the legacy of these films into the digital era. “With this project, we can use technology to help these classics transcend time, keeping the heroic spirit alive in the digital age.”

The project will not restore the original films, a China Film Foundation spokesman told China.org.cn. Instead, it will use AI and digital animation techniques to remake and reimagine classic titles.

He Tao, deputy director of the Industry Research Institute at the Development Research Center of the National Radio and Television Administration, said the remakes are designed to deliver better visual effects and faster-paced storytelling to better align with contemporary audience preferences.

“A Better Tomorrow: Cyber Frontier,” developed by Quantum Animation Studios, will be the first film produced under the initiative and is described as the world’s first fully AI-produced animated feature. The film reimagines John Woo’s classic using AI-driven character modeling, scene rendering and motion capture, blending traditional and cyberpunk elements for international audiences.

AI has revolutionized animation production cycles and costs, said Zhang Qing, chief producer at Quantum Animation Studios.

“Traditionally, an animated feature required thousands of staff and five to six years. For ‘A Better Tomorrow: Cyber Frontier,’ a 30-person team is producing a theatrical release,” he said.

The AI films will also target Gen Z audiences worldwide through multilingual dubbing and partnerships with international streaming platforms, Zhang added. “A Better Tomorrow: Cyber Frontier,” set for theatrical release next year, is being shopped for global distribution, with its producers in talks with Netflix and Disney+.

The project also aims to set technical standards for virtual production and develop new models for storytelling, organizers said.

Shanghai Canxing Culture & Media Co. Chairman Tian Ming also announced that subsidiary Canxing Productions will invest 100 million yuan ($14 million) to co-fund selected projects, taking part in revenue sharing, joint copyright and derivative development rights.

“Today we’re issuing an open invitation to AI production and animation companies worldwide,” Tian said. “With 100 Hong Kong film IPs available for licensing and extensive archival footage at your disposal.”

However, as technology evolves, Tian stressed that human creativity must remain central. “AI is the brush, but creativity is the soul,” he said.

“Algorithms can restore 4K resolution but cannot replicate an artist’s aesthetic insight,” said Tian. He added that while technology transcends borders, culture needs to connect with people on a deeper level and Eastern stories require contemporary interpretation with a global vision.

“Remaking classics calls for creative renewal — honoring the originals while reinventing visual philosophy,” Tian said.

    • Data presented on Monday, June 23 by Principal Investigator Dr. Gary Ulaner, MD, PhD at the SNMMI 2025 Annual Meeting in New Orleans

Basel, Switzerland, June 24, 2025NUCLIDIUM AG a clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical company developing copper-based theranostics, today announced positive data from the Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating the company’s novel PET imaging agent, 61Cu-NuriProTM (61Cu-NODAGA-PSMA I&T) in patients with metastatic prostate cancer. These data were presented on June 23 at the Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) 2025 Annual Meeting in New Orleans by Dr. Gary Ulaner, MD, PhD, Director of Molecular Imaging and Therapy at Hoag Family Cancer Institute and Principal Investigator for the trial. Dr. Ulaner highlighted 61Cu-NuriPro’s favorable safety, dosimetry profile and imaging characteristics in Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA)-positive prostate cancer patients.

The Phase 1 trial conducted at Hoag Molecular Imaging and Therapy Clinic evaluated the safety, dosimetry and preliminary diagnostic efficacy of 61Cu-NuriProTM in patients with metastatic prostate cancer, and was compared to 18F-piflufolastat. 61Cu-NuriPro™ demonstrated a safety profile comparable to clinically established PSMA tracers with a favorable imaging performance. Notably, 61Cu-NuriPro PET visualized additional lesions in 50% of the patients which were not seen on the 18F-piflufolastat PET, with favorable tumor-to-background ratios. The number of detected lesions on the 61Cu-NuriPro PET increased up to 4 hours after administration, highlighting the diagnostic benefits of 61Cu’s 3.3-hour half-life and high positron yield.

“Accurate and reliable imaging remains essential in the management of prostate cancer. The Phase 1 results from 61Cu-NuriPro™ demonstrate not only a solid safety profile but also good imaging quality compared to standard-of-care,” said Dr. Gary Ulaner, MD, PhD, Director of Molecular Imaging and Therapy at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and Principal Investigator of the trial. “These early data suggest strong potential for improving diagnostic performance and patient outcomes.”

Leila Jaafar, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder of NUCLIDIUM added “These results further validate our first-in-class copper theranostics platform and the clinical promise of 61Cu-NuriPro™ as a potential best-in-class diagnostic. We are dedicated to rapidly advancing our portfolio of copper-based theranostic agents for a broader range of cancers, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and scalability.”

61Cu-NuriProTM (61Cu-NODAGA-PSMA I&T) is the diagnostic component of NUCLIDIUM’s PSMA-targeted NuriProTM program2,3,4,5,6. The company’s second diagnostic, 61Cu-TraceNET™, targeting SSTR-positive tumors, is in a Phase 1/2a clinical trial in broncho-pulmonary, and gastroenterohepatic neuroendocrine tumors (BP- and GEP-NETs). The agent will be developed further for imaging in a subset of metastatic breast cancer patients. Clinical trials of two corresponding therapeutics, 67Cu-NuriPro™ and 67Cu-TraceNET™, are expected to start enrollment in early 2026.

  • MIL-OSI Asia-Pac: Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe of Shaoxing to present three classic Yue opera performances for Chinese Culture Festival in July (with photos)

Source: Hong Kong Government special administrative region

Wu Fenghua, a two-time recipient of the China Theatre Plum Blossom Award, along with fellow Plum Blossom Award winners Wu Suying and Chen Fei, will lead outstanding performers from the Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe of Shaoxing to Hong Kong in July. They will present three Yue opera classics “The Peacock Flies Southeast”, “The Aloeswood Fan” and “Mu Guiying Takes Command” for the Chinese Culture Festival (CCF) 2025, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). Blending literary grace and martial splendour, the performances are a must-see for opera enthusiasts. This programme is also part of the 13th Chinese Opera Festival (COF).

Yue opera, also known as Shaoxing opera, originated in Shengzhou in Shaoxing city of Zhejiang Province, where the ancient kingdom Yue was located. It is mainly characterised by the Banqiang style (accompanied by small drum and wood clappers) and various schools of vocal styles. Over the years, each school has nurtured many renowned Yue opera performing artists such as Fan Ruijuan (Fan school), Fu Quanxiang (Fu school) and Lu Ruiying (Lu school), whose artistic accomplishments are widely recognised.

Details of the performances are as follows:

    “The Peacock Flies Southeast”
    —————————————–
Date and time: July 18 (Friday), 7.30pm

“The Peacock Flies Southeast”, dubbed the “Chinese Romeo and Juliet”, recounts the poignant tragedy of Jiao Zhongqing and Liu Lanzhi, who are forced to be separated and ultimately choose to die for love. This masterpiece stands as one of the signature works of Yue opera legends Fan Ruijuan and Fu Quanxiang. This performance stars Wu Fenghua of the Fan school and Chen Fei of the Fu school, perfectly embodying the Fan school’s profound simplicity and the Fu school’s unique graceful vivacity. The classic aria “The Lonely Chamber after That Person is Gone” poetically blends ancient verse with operatic lyrics, accompanied by the interplay of gongs, drums and strings, expressing the lovers’ yearning and resignation.

    “The Aloeswood Fan”
    —————————————–
Date and time: July 19 (Saturday), 7.30pm

“The Aloeswood Fan” is a romantic and witty play, starring Wu Fenghua and Wu Suying of the Lu School. The story depicts a cross-class love affair between Xu Wenxiu, a talented scholar from a humble background, and Cai Lanying, a daughter of a minister’s family. One of the most beloved scenes, “At the Study”, features a delightfully comedic interaction between the quick-witted Cai and the simple, honest Xu. With its melodious and graceful vocal artistry, the play showcases the distinctive artistic appeal of Yue opera.

    “Mu Guiying Takes Command”
    —————————————–
Date and time: July 20 (Sunday), 7.30pm

“Mu Guiying Takes Command” stands as a signature work of the Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe of Shaoxing that consists of both civil and martial elements. It has remained popular for over 30 years and is deeply beloved by opera fans. The production tells the household legend of Mu Guiying and Yang Zongbao’s martial contest for marriage and her heroic breaking of the Heavenly Gate Formation, fusing Yue opera’s lyrical elegance with martial grandeur. Chen Fei’s portrayal of Mu Guiying masterfully balances strength and grace, with passionate and soaring vocals that fully capture the heroine’s indomitable spirit. Wu Fenghua, playing the young general Yang Zongbao, demonstrates her solid martial arts skills through her performance in a changkao wusheng (military male in full armour) role.

The Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe of Shaoxing was established in 1986. Its productions, including “Li Huiniang”, “How a Dead Cat was Substituted for a New-born Prince”, “Qu Yuan” and others, have received numerous awards such as the Repertory Award at the China Theatre Festival, the Gold Award at China Yue Opera Arts Festival and the China Xiqu Society Award. The troupe is active in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and other regions, and has performed in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.

The three performances will be held at the Auditorium of Kwai Tsing Theatre. Lyrics and dialogue are with Chinese and English surtitles. Tickets priced at $220, $320, $420 and $520 are now available at URBTIX (www.urbtix.hk). For telephone bookings, please call 3166 1288. Group booking discounts and package booking discounts are available for purchasing selected CCF stage programmes, the “Chinese Opera Film Shows” of the COF 2025 and the “Legacy and Vision: Conversations with Chinese Cultural Masters” lecture.          A meet-the-artists session entitled “Timeless Appeal: The Legacy and Evolution of Yue Opera” (in Putonghua and Cantonese) will be held at 7.30pm on July 17 (Thursday) at AC2, Level 4, Administration Building, Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The speakers include Wu Fenghua, Wu Suying, Chen Fei and Yu Weiping, while Chinese opera researcher Chan Chun-miu will be the moderator. • MIL-OSI Russia: More than seven thousand guests visited the Moskino cinema park over the weekend

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

More than seven thousand people visited the Moskino cinema park over the weekend. The guests took part in the “We Remember” campaign, heard poems and songs from the war years, and watched concerts and the play “Tish” based on the story by Boris Vasiliev “The Dawns Here Are Quiet…”.

    War songs, poems and performances

An event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow was held at the Moscow of the 1940s site. Visitors laid out the word “We Remember” with lit candles and, under the famous announcement by Yuri Levitan, honored the memory of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to defend the Motherland.

The artists performed songs from the war years and also read poems, verses and other works at the venues “Pitersky Bar”, “Uyezdny Gorod” and “Streets of Berlin”.

The Gonzaga Theatre hosted soloists of the Podolsk Philharmonic Academic Choir under the direction of conductor Kirill Krayushkin. Guests heard songs from the films “Jolly Fellows”, “Midshipmen, Forward!”, “The Diamond Arm” and others. On Saturday and Sunday, concerts of the musical group “Polyn Folk” were held here, and on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, viewers saw on stage the poignant play “Tish” based on the famous story “The Dawns Here Are Quiet…” by Boris Vasiliev. The roles in the production were performed by actors of the Theater of Young Muscovites.

In the evening, there was a meeting with Sergei Korotayev, director of the film “Not on the Lists”. He spoke about the beginning of the war, the heroism and courage of Soviet soldiers and commanders-in-chief, as well as about the defense of the Brest Fortress, which took the first blows.

Excursions and quests in the world of cinema

Over the weekend, the cinema park also hosted excursions. Together with the “Cinema Expedition”, participants learned how films in different genres are made and what films were shot on the “Cowboy Town” set. In addition, guests of the cinema park saw the largest natural chromakey in Europe and walked around the sites that recreated the appearance of wartime Moscow and post-war Berlin.

In the fairy tale park, visitors took part in the quest “The Road Leads”, solved riddles, completed tasks and received a set of stickers as a gift. Thanks to the entertainment program “Film! Film! Film!”, guests learned about the film-making process and got acquainted with the professions of director and producer.

In addition, the Moskino Kinopark cinema hosted screenings of premieres and already beloved stories. Among them were the cartoon “Sneakers” about the adventures of elite sneakers in New York and the film “Artek. Through the Centuries”, which introduced viewers to the history of a unique camp and time travel, as well as much more.

The Moskino cinema park is part of Sergei Sobyanin’s “Moscow – City of Cinema” project and an object of the Moscow cinema cluster, which is being developed by the capital Department of Culture. On weekends, the cinema park’s venues host meetings with filmmakers, film screenings, forums, performances, music festivals, master classes, games and staged filming. Guests can see the unique sets “Moscow in the 1940s”, “Streets of Berlin”, “Cowboy Town”, “Center of Moscow” and others, where famous films and TV series “GDR”, “Atom”, “Smersh-3” were filmed.

The Cinema Park is actively developing as a cultural and leisure venue. Exhibitions, master classes, lectures, meetings with famous actors and other events for Muscovites and guests of the capital are held here.

The Moscow Film Cluster is an infrastructure facility, services and facilities for filmmakers, which are being developed by the Moscow Government within the framework of the Moscow — City of Cinema project. Its structure includes the Moskino Cinema Park, the Gorky Film Studio (sites on Sergei Eisenstein Street and Valdaisky Proyezd), the Moskino Film Factory, the Moskino Cinema Network, as well as the Moskino Film Commission and Film Platform.

Source: United Kingdom – Executive Government & Departments 3

    Press release

Prime Delivery For Britain: PM Hails £40 Billion Amazon Investment Set To Create Thousands Of Jobs

Prime Minister welcomes a £40bn investment plan by Amazon over the next three years in show of confidence following Industrial Strategy launch.

    • Amazon confirms £40bn investment plan for the UK over the next three years in vote of confidence following the Industrial Strategy
    • Investment goes towards four new fulfilment centres in Hull, Northampton and East Midlands creating over 4,000 jobs across the sites
    • Business Secretary visits Amazon’s HQ to welcome news as further proof Britain is the best place to do business as Government’s Plan for Change delivers for working people

Thousands of new jobs are set to be created across the UK, as Amazon today (Tuesday 24 June) announces a landmark £40 billion investment over the next three years.

This investment – announced the same week as the Government’s transformational Industrial Strategy – includes building four new fulfilment centres and new delivery stations nationwide, as well as upgrades and expansions to its existing network of over 100 operations buildings across the country.

The investment will create thousands of new permanent, full-time jobs in the UK, with the vast majority outside of London and the South East.

These include 2,000 jobs at the previously announced state-of-the-art fulfilment centre in Hull and 2,000 jobs at another in Northampton, plus additional positions at new sites in the East Midlands and at delivery stations across the country.

The investment also includes part of the £8 billion previously announced in September 2024 for building, operating, and maintaining data centres in the UK. This will support the UK’s ambition to increase AI compute capacity and meet the growing demand for cloud and AI technologies, while creating thousands of skilled jobs in the tech supply chain.

Alongside the planned creation of the new operations facilities, the investment will also go towards the redevelopment of the historic Bray Film Studios in Berkshire, continued investment in multimillion-pound skills and training programmes, and landmark original TV and film productions.

This announcement is the latest sign that the government’s Plan for Change is working – making Britain the best place to do business, creating jobs, and putting more money in working people’s pockets.

It follows the publication of the modern Industrial Strategy, which marks a new era of collaboration between government and high growth industries slashing energy bills for industry, increasing skills, and boosting investment to unlock the UK’s economic potential.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who met Amazon’s CEO last week ahead of the announcement, said:

Amazon’s £40 billion investment adds another major win to Britain’s basket and is a massive vote of confidence in the UK as the best place to do business.

It means thousands of new jobs—real opportunities for people in every corner of the country to build careers, learn new skills, and support their families.

Whether it’s cutting-edge AI or same-day delivery, this deal shows that our Plan for Change is working—bringing in investment, driving growth, and putting more money in people’s pockets.

    Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, said:

This investment is a powerful endorsement of Britain’s economic strengths.

The world is changing, but this Government is working hand in hand with businesses to navigate that change to create jobs, wealth and opportunity in every corner of the country.

Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds will visit Amazon’s HQ in London to mark the announcement. There he will meet apprentices to talk about the importance of backing British skills just days after the Government announced a £275 million skills package to boost training and build a skilled workforce of the future.

Business and Trade Secretary, Jonathan Reynolds said:

Our Modern Industrial Strategy will ensure the UK is the best country to invest and do business, and seeing massive international firms like Amazon bank on Britain shows we are on the right track.

This investment will create highly-skilled jobs and boost living standards across the country, and the £100 billion of investment we’ve secured in the past year shows our Plan for Change is already delivering for working people.

Amazon are offering 1,000 new full-time apprenticeship roles this year, and already employs more than 75,000 people in over 100 sites across the UK. This new investment will supercharge its impact on local economies. The data centre investment alone is expected to contribute £14 billion to the UK economy over 5 years (2024-2028) and support 14,000 full-time equivalent jobs each year – many of them in small and medium-sized businesses.

    Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy, said:

Amazon has been proud to serve our customers in the UK for the past 27 years. Thanks to their support, we’ve grown to be part of over 100 communities nationwide, from developing drone technology in Darlington to producing world-class entertainment at our studios in Bray. We now employ over 75,000 people and have become one of the UK’s largest private sector employers and taxpayers.

When Amazon invests, it’s not only in London and the South East – we’re bringing innovation and job creation to communities throughout England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, strengthening the UK’s economy and delivering better experiences for customers wherever they live.

The announcement comes as UK business confidence hits a nine-month high, according to the latest Lloyds Business Barometer, with optimism boosted by falling interest rates and new trade deals with the EU, US and India – cutting costs for businesses and protecting jobs.

Since the government was elected, interest rates have fallen four times, and the UK started the year as the fastest-growing economy in the G7. The government has also secured three major trade deals with the EU, US and India, which will cut costs for businesses, protect jobs and attract further investment.

    Notes to editors

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Central Asian Films Conquer Shanghai International Film Festival

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: People’s Republic of China in Russian – People’s Republic of China in Russian –

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

SHANGHAI, June 24 (Xinhua) — Three days have passed since the winners of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival were announced, but Kyrgyzstan’s “Black, Red, Yellow,” which won the top prize, the Golden Cup, in the competition program, is still attracting keen interest.

In recent years, Central Asian films, as well as their directors and actors, have consistently achieved success at the Shanghai Film Festival. In 2024, the main prize was won by the Kazakh film “Divorce,” and this year’s victory by a Kyrgyz full-length film has further fueled audience interest in the region’s culture and traditions.

“Black, Red, Yellow” tells a story set in a small Kyrgyz village, showcasing natural landscapes, introducing cultural customs and depicting the daily lives of its residents, allowing for a deeper understanding of the country.

In recent days, Shanghai film critics have been publishing rave reviews of this melodrama imbued with national color.

“The film shows the majestic snow-capped mountain peaks around the village, the turbulent muddy rivers flowing through the village, allowing viewers to see the natural environment in which local people live. The melodious melody performed by the wife of the main character Kadir while making flatbreads introduces the uniqueness of folk music and village life. Scenes of nomadic life reveal the unique pastoral culture and the national character it formed…” – famous Chinese film critic Zhao Jianzhong did not skimp on praise in a discussion on social networks.

The film was also highly praised by Li Jianqiang, Vice Chairman of the China Film Critics Society and Professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University. He noted the work of the director of the aforementioned film, Aktan Arym Kubat: “His films usually combine realism with poetic narration, masterfully using exquisite cinematic language to convey the magnificent natural landscapes of Central Asia and the rich palette of human feelings.” Some viewers directly admitted in online comments that they were enchanted by the beauty of the film and are already planning their next trip to Central Asia.

“Black, Red, Yellow” was chosen as the best film out of 12 films in the main competition of the festival, which ended a few days ago. The film tells the love story of a village master of hand-made carpet weaving in the 1990s. The two main characters of the film are, in real life, a theater actress and an experienced film director, respectively.

The jury, chaired by Italian director Giuseppe Tornatore, described the film as follows: “When the lights go on in the hall, they continue to resonate in the heart.”

The film’s director, Aktan Arym Kubat, told journalists at a meeting in Shanghai that hand carpet weaving has long been developed in Kyrgyzstan, and traditionally two colors are most often used in it – red and black. “Our heroine adds her feelings, her love, to these two main colors.”

“I am also open to cooperation with Chinese colleagues and welcome the prospect of Kyrgyz-Chinese co-production,” he added.

The 27th Shanghai International Film Festival ran from June 13 to 22, featuring more than 400 films from around the world. -0-

  • MIL-Evening Report: Trouble getting out of bed? Signs the ‘winter blues’ may be something more serious

Source: The Conversation (Au and NZ) – By Kelvin (Shiu Fung) Wong, Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology, Swinburne University of Technology

    Justin Paget/Getty

Winter is here. As the days grow shorter and the skies turn darker, you might start to feel a bit “off”. You may notice a dip in your mood or energy levels. Maybe you’re less motivated to do things you previously enjoyed in the warmer months.

The “winter blues” can feel like an inevitable part of life. You might feel sluggish or less social, but you can still get on with your day.

However, if your winter blues are making everyday life difficult and interfering with your work and relationships, it could be the sign of something more serious.

Seasonal affective disorder is more than a seasonal slump – it’s a recognised psychiatric condition. Here’s what to look for and how to get help.

    What is seasonal affective disorder?

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders officially recognises seasonal affective disorder as a recurrent major depressive disorder “with seasonal pattern”.

In other words, the condition shares many symptoms with major depressive disorder, but it also follows a seasonal rhythm. While this might be most common in winter, the disorder can also occur in summer.

    Symptoms include:

    • persistent low mood or feelings of sadness

    • loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed

    • low energy and fatigue, even after lots of sleep

    • changes in appetite

    • weight gain or weight loss

    • difficulty concentrating

    • sleeping more or less than usual

    • feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness

    • in some cases, thoughts of self-harm or suicide.

Research suggests seasonal affective disorder affects up to 10% of the global population.

Although it can affect anyone, it is more common in women, people aged between 18 and 30 years, and those living far from the equator, where winter daylight hours are especially limited.

A review of the Australian research on seasonal affective disorder showed the highest proportion of Australians with seasonal affective disorder was found in the most southern state, Tasmania (9% of the population).

    What causes it?

Unfortunately, the exact cause of seasonal affective disorder is still poorly understood.

Some theories propose it is primarily caused by a lack of light in the environment, although we are not exactly sure how this leads to depression.

As sunlight is responsible for the production of vitamin D, some have suggested a lack of vitamin D is what causes depression. However, the evidence for such a link is inconclusive.

Others suggest a lack of light in winter delays the circadian rhythms which regulate our sleep/wake cycle. Poor sleep is related to many mental health difficulties, including depression.

Seasonal affective disorder can be treated

Fortunately, there are several evidence-based treatments for seasonal affective disorder. Relief may be found through a combination of approaches.

Bright light therapy is usually the first treatment recommended for seasonal affective disorder. It involves sitting near a specially designed lightbox (with a strength of 10,000 lux) for about 20 to 30 minutes a day to mimic natural sunlight and help regulate the body’s internal clock.

Cognitive behavioural therapy aims to help people develop some flexibility around the negative thoughts that might maintain seasonal affective disorder symptoms (for example, “I am worthless because I never get up to anything meaningful in winter”).

Lifestyle changes such as regular exercise, time spent outdoors (even on gloomy days), a balanced diet, and good sleep hygiene can all support recovery.

Antidepressants – especially selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) – may be prescribed when symptoms are moderate to severe, or when other treatments have not worked.

    What else helps?

Even those without seasonal affective disorder might need to fight the winter blues. So, what works?

    Prioritise social connection

Schedule regular, achievable and pleasant activities with friends, such as trivia at the pub or a brisk walk.

    Reframe winter

Rather than dreading the cold, see if you can embrace what is special about this time of year. The mindset of “hygge” (a Danish and Norwegian term for cosiness and contentment) may help.

Let winter be your excuse for snuggling on your couch with a thick blanket and hot chocolate while catching up on books and TV shows. Or see if there are any winter-specific activities (such as night markets) where you live.

    Maximise daylight

Taking a walk during lunchtime when the sun is out, even briefly, can make a difference.

    The bottom line

If your “winter blues” last more than two weeks, start interfering with your daily life or feel overwhelming, then it might be time to seek professional help.

Speaking to your GP or mental health professional can help you get support early and prevent symptoms getting worse.

Kelvin (Shiu Fung) Wong does not work for, consult, own shares in or receive funding from any company or organisation that would benefit from this article, and has disclosed no relevant affiliations beyond their academic appointment.

  • MIL-OSI China: Iran-Israel ceasefire begins: Iranian TV

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

Iran’s Press TV said Tuesday that ceasefire begins following waves of Iranian attacks on Israel.

Early Tuesday, Israel’s military said it was working to intercept Iranian missiles launched “a short while ago,” without specifying the exact time of the attack.

“A short while ago, sirens sounded in several areas across Israel following the identification of missiles launched from Iran toward the State of Israel,” the military said in a statement posted on Telegram around 5:00 a.m. local time (0200 GMT). Iran has since fired waves of missiles at Israel, according to Iranian state media.

Israel’s skies are closed to planes until further notice, said Israeli airport authorities.

U.S. President Donald Trump had earlier announced that a ceasefire between the two sides would begin around 0400 GMT, with Iran expected to halt its operations first.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said earlier that there was no “agreement” on a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. However, he suggested Iran would be prepared to halt further retaliation if Israeli attacks stopped by 4 a.m. Tehran time (0030 GMT).

“If Israel stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m., Iran has no intention of continuing its response afterwards,” Araqchi wrote in a post on X, adding that “the final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later.”

Hours earlier, a senior Iranian official told CNN that Tehran had not received any formal ceasefire proposal from the United States and saw no reason to halt hostilities.

“At this very moment, the enemy is committing aggression against Iran, and Iran is on the verge of intensifying its retaliatory strikes, with no ear to listen to the lies of its enemies,” the official was quoted as saying. He added that remarks from U.S. and Israeli leaders would be seen as a “deception” intended to justify further attacks on Iran.

The conflicting narratives raised questions about the implementation and durability of any potential ceasefire. As of Monday night, neither Israeli nor Iranian officials had publicly confirmed any agreement. The White House and the Pentagon had also not issued formal statements, and it remained unclear whether the reported deal had been communicated through diplomatic channels, or whether either side intended to follow the terms.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Monday evening that Israel and Iran have reached a formal agreement to implement a complete and total ceasefire, marking what he called the end of the “12-Day War.”

In a post on his Truth Social platform Monday, Trump said the ceasefire will initially last 12 hours, during which the opposing sides will maintain a posture of “peace and respect.”

“On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will,” Trump wrote, “I would like to congratulate both countries… on having the stamina, courage, and intelligence to end what should be called ‘THE 12 DAY WAR.’”

Calling the agreement a breakthrough that “could have saved the Middle East from years of destruction,” Trump ended his announcement with a sweeping message of unity: “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!”

  • MIL-OSI USA: Senators Host “Love is Love” Pride Celebration, Performance at Kennedy Center

Musical theater concert produced by acclaimed Broadway producer Jeffrey Seller, with music directed by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley

WASHINGTON – Tonight, U.S. Senators John Hickenlooper, Tammy Baldwin, Elizabeth Warren, Jacky Rosen, and Brian Schatz hosted a Pride celebration and musical performance titled “Love is Love”, which was produced by acclaimed Broadway producer Jeffrey Seller, at the Kennedy Center’s Justice Forum.

In the last years of the 20th century, and the early years of this century, gay marriage went from being vilified by some to being widely accepted. “Love is Love” is a celebration of the important role that Broadway, Hollywood, and other creative enterprises played in this dramatic transformation of the America we love.

The actors and other creative talent who created this show gave their time and creative energy to recognize and amplify this cultural transformation. The Kennedy Center, long an outpost and a beacon for equality in the arts, seemed the perfect venue.

The performance reminds us that our fight for equality – and for democracy – isn’t over. It’s happening right now, all around us.

“In our darkest hours, we must continue to seek out the light,” said Hickenlooper. “Tonight, we honor the role that the freedom of expression and the theatrical arts play in continuing to expand LGBTQ rights in America.”

“We have made incredible progress in our fight for true equality, but we cannot mistake progress for victory and we still have some big hills to climb. Look no further than the Trump Administration’s shameful attacks on the LGBTQ community and our right to live a life with dignity, respect, and free from discrimination. While this administration won’t say it, we will: To all LGBTQ members of our community, we see you, we respect you, and we are proud to celebrate you,” said Baldwin.

“As the Trump administration keeps up its hateful attacks on LGBTQ+ Americans, we’re meeting their bigotry with resilience and joy. Tonight, we’re celebrating that joy at the Kennedy Center with artists and stage workers for a special performance. I’ll never stop fighting to make sure every single person is free to live exactly who they are,” said Warren.

“The Trump Administration’s cruel and harmful attacks against the LGBTQ community are having dire consequences,” said Rosen. “Trump is not only actively targeting LGBTQ Americans with discriminatory policies, he’s seeking to erase LGBTQ history and culture. That’s why it’s more important than ever before to stand up and proudly celebrate the LGBTQ community.”

“Every attack on LGBTQ+ rights by the Trump administration is an attack on human rights, on freedom, and on every American’s right to equal protection under the law. We have come too far to go backward. Now is the time to stand up and fight back in every way we can – in the courts, at the ballot box, in peaceful protests, and with the arts,” said Schatz.
