Orenburgneft employees together with specialists from the Rosneft scientific institute in Samara developed and implemented a three-dimensional geomechanical model of the Biktovskoye field in the Orenburg region. The effect of implementing the innovation is 5 million rubles for one well, the well construction period was reduced by an average of two days.

The unique model includes geological and seismic information, as well as drilling parameters. When creating the model, specialists took into account data obtained from existing wells, as well as mathematical calculations. The innovation will allow assessing risks, predicting possible geological complications and building an optimal trajectory during drilling. The project of a three-dimensional geomechanical model has been tested in conditions of complex geological sections of wells and is ready for replication at Rosneft enterprises. The experience gained will allow optimizing the time for developing field models in different regions of the country.

During further development of the Biktovskoye field, a geomechanical model will be created that will allow us to predict changes in the behavior of rocks over time and will help maintain the level of oil production.

The development of science-intensive software is an important part of the Rosneft-2030 strategy. The company prioritizes innovation, defining technological leadership as a key factor in competitiveness in the oil market.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Financial news: Last year pawnshops issued loans to citizens for 302 billion rubles

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Central Bank of Russia –

This is a quarter more than the year before. The main reason for this growth is the steady increase in gold prices. 94% of loans are issued against gold items as collateral. At the same time, the number of concluded agreements remained at the same level – 16.6 million per year.

Due to the growth in gold prices, the average loan amount also increased — from 16 to 21 thousand rubles. The total cost of loans (TCL) of pawnshops did not exceed 120% per annum. Rates vary significantly depending on the type of collateral — for example, for loans secured by a car, they are traditionally lower. For certain groups of citizens — pensioners, people with disabilities, large families — pawnshops offer preferential loan terms.

Large chain pawnshops are actively developing digital channels of interaction with clients: more than half issue non-cash loans and accept payments online.

Most borrowers try to repay the loan themselves in order to get back the collateral. 84% of loans are repaid in this way. For small pawnshops focused on retaining their customer base, this share is even higher. The rest of the loans are repaid by selling the pledged item. If the sale price exceeds the borrower’s obligations, the client retains the right to contact the pawnshop within three years to get back the pawned item. difference.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: China releases historical documents exposing Japanese war crimes in northeast

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: People’s Republic of China in Russian – People’s Republic of China in Russian –

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

SHENYANG, June 10 (Xinhua) — More than 1,200 historical documents related to the Japanese invasion of China during World War II were released by the Archives of Northeast China’s Liaoning Province on Monday, International Archives Day, providing new evidence of Japanese aggression in China more than 80 years ago.

These files are archive catalogues of the South Manchuria Railway (SMRR), which was founded in 1906 and ceased to exist in 1945. The colonial enterprise was believed to have financed Japan’s militaristic ambitions during the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression from 1931 to 1945.

Among the files released are compensation tables for the families of soldiers killed and injured in the September 18, 1931, incident that marked the beginning of Japan’s 14-year invasion of China. The incident occurred when Japanese troops blew up a section of railway under their control near the city of Shenyang and accused Chinese troops of sabotage as a pretext for the attack. That same evening, they launched a large-scale invasion of northeast China, shelling Chinese barracks near Shenyang.

Other files relate to events such as the July 7 Incident and the Nanjing Massacre. “The documents showed that the South Manchuria Railway played a significant role in Japan’s invasion of China by collecting intelligence, supporting pro-Japanese forces, financing the war, participating in military actions, and glorifying aggression,” said Cong Longhai, an official at the Liaoning Provincial Archives.

According to him, during its work in China, the company controlled the economic life of Northeast China, plundered mineral resources and collected various intelligence data.

“These files contain evidence of the Japanese invasion of China, as well as irrefutable evidence written by the Japanese invaders themselves, which is of significant historical value,” he said.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. By releasing the historical documents, Cong Longhai hopes that they will help uncover the hidden history of Japan’s long-planned invasion of China and tell the story of the heroic deeds of the Chinese people during the war, he added. -0-

YINCHUAN, June 10 (Xinhua) — The 5th China (Ningxia) International Wine Culture & Tourism Expo kicked off Monday in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. As one of the highlights of the expo, the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) wine competition returned to China after a seven-year hiatus.

The 4-day EXPO has attracted more than 1,100 guests from China and overseas. It will host 14 events, including a wine exhibition featuring popular wineries, a wine industry innovation competition, and an art biennale.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles was first hosted by China in 2018 in Beijing. This year, almost 400 judges from around the world came to the competition, and over 7,000 wine samples were submitted, including a record number of samples, according to CMB Chairman Baudouin Havot, representing China. “This event opens a new era for the Chinese wine industry in gaining global recognition,” he said.

According to him, it is no coincidence that the 32nd CMB competition is being held in Yinchuan – this event “clearly reflects the growing potential of Chinese wine, especially from Ningxia.”

This Chinese region boasts a unique terroir for producing high-quality wines: abundant sunshine and a cool, dry climate are conducive to growing grapes. After 40 years of development, Ningxia has become the largest wine-producing region in the country. The eastern foothills of Mount Helan have become especially popular as a “golden zone” for growing grapes and producing high-quality wine.

By the end of 2024, the area of vineyards in Ningxia exceeded 600 thousand mu /about 40 thousand hectares/, the annual wine production volume reached 140 million bottles. Wine from Ningxia is supplied to more than 40 countries and regions around the world. -0-

NICE, France, June 10 (Xinhua) — Countries must respect science and international law when it comes to exploiting the seabed to prevent it from becoming a lawless “Wild West,” U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Monday at the opening of the third U.N. Ocean Conference in Nice, southeastern France.

He said there was a need to balance legitimate concerns about environmental impacts with legitimate interests in using ocean resources to support economic sustainability and the transition to green energy. He stressed that future actions should be “science-based, precautionary and consistent with the rights and obligations enshrined in the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.”

“I support the ongoing work of the International Seabed Authority on this important issue. The deep sea cannot become the Wild West,” the Secretary-General added.

The third UN Ocean Conference, co-hosted by France and Costa Rica, aims to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG14): conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, French President Emmanuel Macron also spoke out against deep-sea exploitation, warning that much of the seabed remains largely unexplored. “It is madness to exploit the deep sea before exploration has even begun… A moratorium on deep sea exploitation is an international imperative,” Macron said.

“The deep sea is not for sale, just like Greenland, Antarctica or the open sea,” he said.

In April, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order allowing deep-sea mining, a unilateral move that drew criticism from the International Seabed Authority. –0–

MEXICO CITY, June 9 (Xinhua) — Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Monday called on the U.S. authorities to respect immigration procedures and human dignity, following recent mass detentions of migrants and subsequent protests in Los Angeles, California.

    K. Sheinbaum read a statement about the Los Angeles protests at a daily morning press conference also attended by the country’s Foreign Minister Juan Ramon de la Fuente.

The statement outlined five measures the Mexican government is taking to protect the rights of Mexican migrants in the United States.

“The Mexican government will not tolerate actions that violate human rights,” the president said, asking the US authorities “respectfully but firmly” to act in accordance with legal procedure and within the framework of respect for human dignity.

“We do not condone violent actions as a form of protest… we call on the Mexican community to act peacefully and not to succumb to provocations,” added K. Sheinbaum.

She stressed that most Mexicans in Los Angeles live and work there legally, and the U.S. economy “needs them.”

“The Mexican government reaffirms its unwavering commitment to protecting the human rights of Mexicans abroad, regardless of their immigration status,” the president said.

Through its consular network, the Mexican government offers legal advice and other assistance to ensure that Mexicans are treated fairly.

Some 42 Mexicans, including 37 men and five women, were arrested during the Los Angeles protests, the foreign minister said.

More than 1,000 protesters clashed with National Guard troops in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday during new demonstrations against immigration enforcement raids that took place across California over the weekend. –0–

BEIJING, June 10 (Xinhua) — State Grid Corporation of China on Tuesday announced the start of a ±800 kV ultra-high-voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission project linking Hami City in eastern northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with Chongqing City in southwest China.

This is China’s third major project to transmit electricity from the energy-rich Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to other parts of the country.

The transmission line is 2,260 km long and has an installed capacity of 14.2 million kW, including 10.2 million kW supplied by wind, solar and solar thermal energy. New energy sources account for more than 70 percent of the total installed capacity.

Xinjiang is a key hub in China’s west-east power transmission program. The new line is expected to supply more than 36 billion kWh of electricity annually to the power supply hub of Chongqing, greatly increasing the municipality’s power supply capacity.

It is also expected to contribute to the economic development of both Xinjiang and Chongqing, strengthen the coordinated development of regions, promote rural revitalization and help improve people’s livelihoods, the corporation said.

Currently, China National Grid Corporation operates the world’s largest ultra-high-voltage power transmission network, providing strong support for ensuring reliable electricity supply and promoting green and low-carbon development. -0-

Founded during the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD), the Daimiao Temple is the largest surviving ancient architectural complex at the foot of Mount Taishan. It was designated a national cultural heritage site by the State Council of China in 1988.

As reported by the Shandong Province information portal “sdchina.com.cn”, on the morning of May 29, the delegation members visited the Daimiao Temple. The delegation then ascended to the “Southern Gate of Heaven” /”Nantianmen”/. Since ancient times, Mount Taishan has symbolized the stability of the state and the prosperity of the nation. SACRAMENTO, United States, June 10 (Xinhua) — The U.S. state of California on Monday sued the Donald Trump administration for deploying National Guard troops to Los Angeles amid protests against immigration raids, calling it “an undeniable step toward authoritarianism.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom and state Attorney General Rob Bonta announced Monday that they had filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration to stop the “unlawful and unjustified deployment” of National Guard troops, which they said “has led to an unnecessary escalation of chaos and violence in Los Angeles County.”

The lawsuit names President Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the Department of Defense. It alleges that the deployment of National Guard troops violates the U.S. Constitution and exceeds the president’s authority because it was done without the governor’s consent or participation and was unjustified, the governor’s office said in a press release Monday.

The protests initially began in response to immigration enforcement. Tensions between protesters and law enforcement escalated on Friday, with some demonstrators throwing objects and police using tear gas and flash-bang grenades.

In response, Trump ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops on Saturday. Protests intensified on Sunday, with clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement officers increasing.

“President Trump’s order to deploy federal National Guard troops to Los Angeles over the objections of the Governor and local law enforcement is unnecessary and counterproductive,” California Attorney General Robert Bonta said in a statement Monday.

According to G. Newsom, the deployment of the National Guard is a “man-made crisis.” The state governor accused D. Trump of “deliberately creating chaos, terrorizing the population, and threatening the principles of our great democracy.”

“This is an undoubted step towards authoritarianism. We cannot allow this,” the governor added.

After the lawsuit was announced, Trump wrote on social media that his administration would “fight back” if protesters “spit” on National Guard troops.

On Monday, D. Trump called for the arrest of the governor of California. “The President of the United States just called for the arrest of a sitting governor. I hoped I would never see this day in America,” Newsom wrote in response on social media. –0–

NEW YORK, June 10 (Xinhua) — U.S. Surgeon General Robert Kennedy Jr. on Monday fired all 17 members of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s immunization advisory committee, saying the move would restore public confidence in vaccines.

About two-thirds of the commission’s members were appointed in the final year of the Biden administration, Kennedy Jr. said in announcing his decision in a column for the Wall Street Journal.

“The CDC’s immunization advisers wield enormous influence,” the New York Times commented. They scrutinize vaccine data, debate the evidence, and decide who should get shots and when. Insurance companies and federal health insurance programs like Medicaid are required to pay for vaccines recommended by the committee.

The committee was scheduled to meet from June 25 to 27. It is not yet known when the new members will be announced, but the meeting will go ahead as planned, according to a statement released by the Department of Health and Human Services.

“This is the latest in a series of steps by Mr. Kennedy, a vaccine skeptic, to destroy decades of immunization standards,” the statement said. The advisory committee, which is more aligned with the views of R. Kennedy Jr., could significantly change or even reverse recommendations for immunizations for Americans, including childhood vaccinations. –0–
