    Since the beginning of 2025, residents of the country have built and registered 170.4 thousand individual residential buildings. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

    At the April 15 meeting of the State Council Presidium on the development of infrastructure for life, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that individual housing construction is the most important area in demand among citizens. The head of state also emphasized that it is necessary to expand this segment of housing, pay special attention to the provision of land plots, their provision with infrastructure and the creation of reliable mechanisms so that people can invest their funds in individual construction.

    “A number of measures have been taken to develop housing construction, including the individual housing construction sector. In recent years, interest in individual housing construction has grown significantly. Since the beginning of 2025, citizens have built and registered 170.4 thousand private houses with a total area of 24.7 million square meters in the Rosreestr, which is almost 17% more than in the same period of 2024,” said Marat Khusnullin.

    Today, individual housing construction accounts for more than half of the housing commissioning in the country. In 2024, 62.3 million square meters of private housing were commissioned in Russia, which became a record figure in the entire history of Russia.

    “The leader in this segment is the Central Federal District. Since the beginning of 2025, 36.6 thousand individual houses with a total area of 7.2 million square meters have been built here, or 29% of the total individual housing construction fund built since the beginning of 2025. Including in the Moscow Region, more than 14 thousand individual housing construction objects have been built and registered with the cadastral register, which is 38.2% of the total number in the Central Federal District,” commented Oleg Skufinsky, head of Rosreestr.

    Almost as in the Central Federal District, private construction is popular in the Volga region, where from January to March of this year, almost 31.7 thousand individual houses with a total area of 4.2 million square meters were built. The Republic of Tatarstan is the leader here with 10.5 thousand houses. At the same time, according to the results of 2024, the Republic of Bashkortostan became the leader in the number of private houses commissioned in the Volga Federal District (19.8 thousand houses).

    The Southern Federal District rounds out the top three, where 23.2 thousand individual housing construction objects with an area of 3.2 million square meters have been built since the beginning of 2025. This is 20% more than the figure for the same period in 2024. The best indicators in the district are in Krasnodar Krai – 10.8 thousand private houses.

    The main building material in the period under review was wood. According to the Unified State Register of Real Estate, 55.5 thousand individual housing construction objects with an area of 7 million square meters were built from it, which is 22% more than at the beginning of 2024. Slightly less often, citizens built houses from brick – 31.4 thousand houses with an area of 5 million square meters. The least amount of panel houses were erected – only 1.7 thousand buildings on 214 thousand square meters.

    As for the number of storeys, in most cases Russians built single-storey houses, 100 thousand of which were registered – this is 16% more than at the beginning of 2024. Two-storey buildings were erected in 65.1 thousand, three-storey buildings – 4.8 thousand.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Financial news: Number of borrowers and indebtedness of citizens decreased in the second half of 2024

    For the first time since 2022, the total number of borrowers from banks and microfinance organizations decreased by 0.5 million in six months, amounting to just over 50 million people, according to data from credit history bureaus.

    Banks began to limit the risks of borrowers becoming over-indebted by reducing the average size of a cash loan (it decreased by 20%) and its term (the share of loans up to one year increased by 13 percentage points, to 21%).

    In Q4 2024, the number of the most indebted borrowers with at least three loans decreased by 0.5 million people, but they still account for about half of the debt on retail loans.

    The number of citizens with a mortgage remained at the same level, amounting to 10.2 million people. At the same time, banks began to issue mortgage loans for a term of over 30 years less frequently. The share of borrowers who take out a consumer loan before a mortgage has decreased. This indicates that the likelihood of a down payment using credit funds has decreased.

    Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a working meeting with timber industry workers from Primorsky Krai in Vladivostok.

    “We will discuss the use of forest resources. Unfortunately, forests in the Russian Federation are used to a much lesser extent than in other forest countries. In addition, there is a certain downward trend. In the first quarter of this year, timber harvesting in Primorsky Krai decreased by 11%, and exports decreased even more. Accordingly, tax revenues from industry enterprises to the regional budget amounted to 3%. There were a number of speeches on the topic of, say, more effective regulation of the industry. So far, there have been no major changes here. We need to ensure that forests in Russia, like all other resources, are used as efficiently as possible,” Yuri Trutnev opened the meeting.

    The issues discussed included the implementation of forest management activities in the Primorsky Krai, the work of the Federal State Information System of the Forestry Complex, and support by forestry enterprises of the Primorsky Krai for the special military operation.

    According to Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Kozhemyako, since the beginning of the SVO, forestry companies operating in the region have transferred more than 16 thousand cubic meters of timber, more than 50 units of equipment, supplied equipment, weapons, medicines and provided other assistance to military units. During the period of partial mobilization, they equipped and provided military training grounds and tent cities with the necessary materials entirely at their own expense.

    “We have always provided and continue to provide large-scale, free assistance to the families of military personnel – tens of thousands of cubic meters of firewood, money. Their fellow countrymen who serve on the front lines contact their leaders directly. And they never get a refusal – on any issues. Now our enterprises have organized a rhythmic and regular free supply of lumber to the troops, to the SVO zone. Despite the sanctions, the decline in revenue and the difficult economy, assistance to the army is being scaled up,” said Oleg Kozhemyako.

    The meeting discussed the work of the Primorsky branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg”. The previous management of the branch concluded 19 contracts with forest lessees of Primorsky Krai on forest management (forest taxation) on an area of 330 thousand hectares, for which obligations were overdue. The work was not completed, the funds were spent, and an irreparable cash gap was actually formed. The work was either not started, or it needs to be completely redone.

    In addition to unfulfilled obligations to businesses, the Primorsky branch of Roslesinforg has had debts to the region since 2020 under a contract for the establishment of rural forests on an area of 50 thousand hectares. These works were ordered at the expense of their own budget. The forest management work carried out under the 2023 state assignment in the Ussuri forestry on an area of 127 thousand hectares requires a complete review and large-scale adjustment.

    Currently, the Primorsky branch is fulfilling overdue obligations through current business and financial activities with an acute shortage of tax engineers and funds allocated for the fulfillment of the state assignment: the branch is forced to spend a significant portion of the funds received from new customers to fulfill overdue obligations and fulfill the state assignment for 2024 and 2025.

    The new head of the branch takes a set of measures aimed at independently resolving the current situation (an agreement is reached with the tenants of forest areas on extending the terms of execution of contracts, new employees are actively hired, including those with remote employment from other regions, new contracts are concluded, etc.). But the measures taken are clearly insufficient due to the scale of the problem; intervention by the federal center is required to correct the current situation with forest management in the Primorsky Territory, as well as a deep analysis of this area as a whole, including an assessment of the effectiveness of the decisions taken on federalization and monopolization of these powers.

    Yuri Trutnev instructed the Ministry of Natural Resources to develop and submit proposals for remote forestry accounting.

    “A number of unqualified management actions have led to people not being able to obtain forest plots and even information, or build a timber processing plant. We have promoted a clear way to solve this problem – forest management based on space images and aerial photographs. We can keep records of forests based on remote methods. The Ministry of Natural Resources supports this solution. We discussed this together with the minister. Therefore, we need to switch to remote methods as quickly as possible and restore order in the forest,” said Yuri Trutnev.

    “Our task is to increase the level of environmental responsibility of business.     Dmitry Patrushev noted that most of the facilities that did not submit applications are concentrated in the Republic of Dagestan, Saratov and Moscow regions. In the Kaliningrad region, the republics of Ingushetia and North Ossetia-Alania, not a single facility received permission.

    The Deputy Prime Minister instructed Rosprirodnadzor to conduct unscheduled inspections of facilities that did not receive comprehensive environmental permits on time. The absence of these permits will result in a hundredfold increase in the fee for negative impact on the environment, as well as fines.

    The government continues to improve the mechanism for issuing infrastructure loans, which are used to modernize housing and utilities in the regions, as well as create transport, engineering, energy, tourism and other infrastructure facilities. Previously, such loans were financed directly from the budget, but now they will be issued using temporarily available funds from the single account of the federal budget. The procedure for selecting projects for the provision of such loans has been approved by the signed resolution.

    According to the document, the selection for the provision of treasury infrastructure loans will be carried out in four areas: projects in the housing and utilities sector, master plan activities for cities in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic zone of Russia, projects selected as part of a competition, as well as projects implemented on the instructions of the President or the Chairman of the Government.

    Applications submitted by regions for project selection will undergo an initial review by the public-law company “Fund for Development of Territories” and then sent to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Ministry of Construction to prepare conclusions. The final decision on granting a loan will be made by the Presidium of the Government Commission for Regional Development.

    The total volume of treasury infrastructure loans planned to be provided to regions in 2025–2030 is 1 trillion rubles. The President instructed the Government to ensure the operation of this mechanism following the results of the Address to the Federal Assembly in 2024.

    In connection with the introduction of a new article into the Budget Code regulating the provision of treasury loans, the Cabinet of Ministers in February 2025 approved the rules for issuing treasury loans, according to which entities will be able to receive them for 15 years at 3% per annum.

    The use of this mechanism will allow the implementation of the activities of the new national project “Infrastructure for Life”.

    In order to involve new real estate objects into circulation and increase the level of investment activity in the reunited regions, work on a complete inventory is ongoing. Thanks to it, 251,750 objects have been identified, information about which has been entered into the Unified State Register of Real Estate, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported.

     

    “A comprehensive inventory in new regions is being conducted in two directions – studying archival documents confirming property rights to real estate objects or describing objects, and inspecting the territories. Thus, since the beginning of the project, work has been completed in 4,230 cadastral blocks. Also, based on archival documents, information on 1.4 million objects has been entered into the Unified State Register of Real Estate. In general, this colossal work allows us to create an accurate real estate register not only for the inclusion of new objects in circulation, but also so that citizens can quickly and without delays formalize their property rights and protect their property rights. Inventory is also necessary for further mass cadastral valuation of objects,” said Marat Khusnullin.

    As part of the inventory, the characteristics of objects, information about which is entered into the Unified State Register of Real Estate, are also clarified, and the title holders, unused lands, and ownerless buildings, structures, and premises are identified.

    “This work is carried out by the Roscadastre PPC under the coordination of Rosreestr. In particular, 13,662 unused land plots and territories with a total area of 112 thousand hectares have already been identified. In total, by the end of 2026, it is planned to conduct an inventory of more than 28 thousand cadastral quarters available for survey,” added Rosreestr head Oleg Skufinsky.

    On April 29, the 2nd International Scientific Conference “Family in Modern Russian Society” was held at the State University of Management, organized by the Research Institute of Public Policy and Management of Industrial Economics of the State University of Management together with the university institutes.

    Today, family issues are given special attention at all levels. Thus, 2024 in Russia was held under the auspices of the Year of the Family and became fruitful in terms of long-term legislative, economic and social initiatives aimed at supporting Russian families.

    More than 50 students, postgraduates, applicants, scientists and teachers presented papers on the role of the family in Russian society, issues of family policy and traditional family values. Students and teachers of Russian universities, experts, representatives of government bodies and the clergy took part in the work of the sections. The Chairman of the Program Committee was Oleg Sudorgin, Director of the Research Institute of Public Policy and Management of Industrial Economy of the State University of Management.

    The conference included five sections.

    The section “Family and Marriage Values in the Minds of Modern Youth” was led by Deputy Director of the Institute of Personnel Management, Social and Business Communications for Research Galina Mokhova. Participants presented research on the specifics of family relationships and youth education, discussed the problems of trust in family relationships, and the perception of family and marriage by young people. Considerable attention was paid to the preservation and strengthening of intergenerational relationships and traditional family values.

    The Family Economy section, chaired by Galina Sorokina, Director of the Institute of Economics and Finance, discussed the specifics and issues of family economics and family budget in modern society. Representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church also took part in the work: the rector of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Pronsky Monastery in the Ryazan Diocese, Abbot Luka (Stepanov), the rector of the Church of the Holy Blessed Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky on Volzhsky, Priest Kirill (Kraev), and the priest of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity near Saltykov Bridge, Priest Grigory (Falin). GUU expresses its deep appreciation and gratitude to the representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church for their participation in the conference.

    Within the framework of the section “Formation and development of modern state family policy in Russia”, headed by the head of the department of state and municipal administration, adviser to the rector’s office Sergey Chuev, current national and federal projects, strategies in the field of family and demographic policy, issues and prospects for state support for young families were discussed.

    Under the guidance of Irina Goncharova, leading researcher at the Research Institute of Public Policy and Management of Industrial Economics, in the section “The Institute of Family in the Era of Change: from Historical Mission to Modern Challenges,” the speakers examined aspects of the institution of family in the context of modern demographic challenges and the impact of digitalization, the role of the family in fostering patriotism and the formation of a positive image of the family in the media.

    The conference included a special thematic section dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War — “The Contribution of Families to Achieving Victory in World War II.” The section was chaired by Fanis Sharipov, Director of the Center for Socio-Economic and Political Research of China at the Research Institute of Public Policy and Management of Industrial Economy. The speakers presented stories related to their ancestors who fought during the Great Patriotic War, and shared memories of the courage and dedication of their relatives. The key issues of the section were the importance of preserving historical memory and the contribution of young people to preserving the memory of the war. Nikita Stepanov, Senior Researcher at the Center for Socio-Economic Development Institutes at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Ivan Arkhipov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society and President of the I.V. Arkhipov Foundation, took part in the section.

    For the second time, the conference became a platform for professional and extensive consideration of the vectors of development of the Russian family, key foundations for preserving the continuity of traditions and family values. Participants unanimously noted the importance of discussing and forming new ideas for developing the institution of the family, and also emphasized that the regular nature of such events promotes dialogue between generations, preservation and popularization of traditions and family values in modern Russian society.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Students of SPbGASU won the international Olympiad in applied mechanics

    Two teams from SPbGASU took part in the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Applied Mechanics with International Participation. One of them won, the other became a bronze medalist.

    The Olympiad was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Association of Technical Universities and the Federal Educational and Methodological Association in the field of “Mechanical Engineering” at the Advanced Engineering School “Digital Engineering” of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (PISh SPbPU). 29 teams from 14 regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan registered.

    The first place was taken by the team of the construction faculty of SPbGASU. It included Artem Grigoriev, Vladislav Laptev, Anastasia Zimovets and Alexandra Leonova. The leader was Associate Professor of the Department of Structural Mechanics Nadezhda Ostrovskaya.

    The team of the Automobile and Road Faculty took third place. It consisted of Ilya Zhdanov, Maxim Golubovich, Daniil Agapov and Nikita Gladkov. The leader was Alena Kolomeets, senior lecturer of the Department of Land Transport and Technological Machines.

    In the individual competition, third place went to Artem Grigoriev.

    As Nadezhda Ostrovskaya explained, the Olympiad was held from 1999 to 2020, and in 2025 it was resumed at the Advanced Engineering School of SPbPU (AES). The goals of the Olympiad are to revive the platform for interaction between gifted and talented students and their mentors in the field of applied mechanics, to introduce students to real enterprises of high-tech industries and Russian engineering software.

    In addition to the main program, where students were asked to solve six problems – three on theoretical mechanics and three on the strength of materials, all days were filled with interesting events. On the first day, an engineering competition for students took place, on the second day – excursions to the museum and laboratories of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, as well as to the enterprises of industrial partners. On the third day, master classes were held on the use of domestic software for various engineering purposes.

    Artem Grigoryev shared his impressions: “The tasks covered all sections of strength of materials and theoretical mechanics. To solve them, I had to recall many tasks completed during preparation – typical and advanced. I really liked that each task had a “key”, after finding which the task became much easier. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the organizers for the interesting program, as well as appreciation to my teachers Anna Olegovna Yulina and Nadezhda Vladimirovna Ostrovskaya, who helped me prepare, conducted interesting classes and thus inspired me to win.”

    “The high results of our students can be called a triumph of the SPbGASU engineering school, proof of the excellent training of our specialists in such fundamental disciplines as theoretical mechanics and strength of materials,” noted Nadezhda Ostrovskaya.

    The VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Modeling in Construction and Architecture” (BIMAC-2025), held at the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Urban Planning on April 22–25, has ended. Over the course of four days, representatives of the scientific and industry communities discussed the development of digital solutions and their implementation in segments of the construction industry in various sections.

    Focus on digital solutions

    Information modeling of architectural and design solutions, engineering systems, the use of information modeling technologies in estimates, artificial intelligence and training of engineering personnel for the digitalization of construction, parametrics, visual programming, software development, 4D modeling in construction – these were the topics that were the focus of discussions and were considered from the point of view of various representatives of the construction industry. The Consortium of the Construction Industry of the Northwestern Federal District organized a working meeting and a round table “Digitalization of Construction Project Management Processes”. Let us recall that the priority areas of the consortium’s activities are the creation of a system of interaction with administrative, educational, scientific, industrial and public-professional organizations to ensure the region’s leading positions in the construction industry, the effective implementation of national projects and regional development programs.

    In addition, the conference paid attention to advanced training: Deputy General Director of Interregional Institute of Expertise LLC Sergey Dragomirov held a two-day intensive course “Information modeling in construction. Regulatory legal acts and legislative requirements, national standards”, in which he covered the current state of the regulatory framework in the field of application of information modeling technologies (BIM) in the design, construction and operation of capital construction projects.

    Industry exhibition

    An industry exhibition was held on the upper balustrade of SPbGASU. Here one could get acquainted in detail with the offers of partners and exhibitors, among which were the companies “WIZARDSOFT”, “Credo-Dialog”, “ELITA”, GC “NEOLANT”, “Stroygazservis”, BIMIT, “Nanosoft”, CSoft, “ASCON”. Our university also presented its stand.

    “We are manufacturers of engineering systems. Here we present our technologies for BIM. The “Smart Water” software allows you to calculate internal water supply and sewerage, as well as select pumping equipment and pumping units,” said Tatyana Kolegova, a representative of the ELITA company.

    “WIZARDSOFT is a developer of domestic software such as SmetaWIZARD, BIM WIZARD and PlanWIZARD. We are happy to tell you more about them. Visitors actively come to us, especially students.     On April 28, at the invitation of the Director of the Management Center of the Moscow City Economy Complex (MCCMC) Evgeny Balashov, a working meeting was held between the Vice-Rector of the State University of Management Maria Karelina and the MCCMC team.

    The Center combines many years of experience in the field of municipal services with new developing areas of activity. The employees of the Central Control Center of the City Housing and Utilities Department work to promptly respond to the tasks related to monitoring the operation of housing and utilities facilities in Moscow. Analysts monitor the dynamics of processes, analyze the causes of incidents and make forecast estimates. The Center, as a single technological platform, unites all key sources of information, which facilitates the process of making strategic management decisions online.

    Colleagues from the Central Control Center of the KGH demonstrated the center’s business processes and introduced current and future tasks.

    The meeting resulted in the definition of the main vectors of interaction between the State University of Management and the Control Center. On the educational track, this is the organization of a basic department, the preparation and implementation of additional professional education and professional retraining programs. In the field of scientific research, the parties expressed mutual interest in joint research in the field of software modeling of various critical situations in the field of urban economy and their consequences.

    Taking into account the experience of the SMU scientists in the field of work on making management decisions under conditions of uncertainty (the head of the scientific school is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alexey Terentyev), the cooperation promises to be productive and will allow obtaining practical results in the interests of the Moscow City Economy Complex.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: “The Art of Management: Science, Practice, Project Technologies”: The Results of the V All-Russian Interuniversity Forum

    The 5th All-Russian Interuniversity Forum “The Art of Management: Science, Practice, Project Technologies” has concluded at the State University of Management.

    This forum has become an important platform for exchanging experiences in organizing project-based learning in higher education institutions, discussing current issues in project management and introducing innovative approaches in the educational and scientific fields.

    The event took place thanks to a fruitful partnership with two authoritative organizations: the project-methodical association “Association of project-oriented organizations of science and higher education” and the professional community “Association of project management “SOVNET”, which unites leading specialists in the field of project management.

    The Forum program included three large-scale events that brought together participants of different categories: from first-year students to teaching staff, representatives of administrative and managerial personnel of universities and experts from organizations of the real sector of the economy.

    On the second day, the Final of the Student Project Competition took place, which this year for the first time went beyond the SUM and attracted more than 50 external projects from various Russian universities, including: Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev, Siberian Federal University, Southern Federal University, St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Tyumen State University, Russian University of Transport, MSTU “STANKIN”, Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University, etc.

    Student project teams presented their developments to the expert jury in four nominations: “Business projects (startups)”, “Social projects”, “Consulting projects” and “Research projects”. Thanks to the support of our partners – IPI Lab LLC, Roskachestvo, Bank FINAM JSC, Exity Group, Algorithmika LLC, BPM Soft, Alfa-Bank, Smartika LLC and independent consultants – the participants received valuable recommendations and opportunities for further development of their projects.

    A particularly active and interesting event within the framework of the V All-Russian Interuniversity Forum “The Art of Management: Science, Practice, Project Technologies” was the Interuniversity Hackathon “Urban Development Technologies”, which took place at the State University of Management throughout all three days of the Forum.

    This year, the Hackathon was held for the fourth time and united 80 participants from GUU, RUT (MIIT), RGUTIS, RTU MIREA, RUDN, SFedU, SPbGASU in various fields of study in 9 teams as participants and team facilitators.

    The V All-Russian Interuniversity Forum “The Art of Management: Science, Practice, Project Technologies” ended with a ceremonial summing up of the results and awarding of the winners of the GUU Student Project Competition and the interuniversity hackathon “Urban Development Technologies”. Student projects and case solutions were awarded both the highest awards (1-3 places) and individual nominations from our colleagues and partners, as well as audience sympathy prizes.

    The State University of Management expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone for their active participation, professionalism and desire for development.     Representatives of the RUC of the State University of Management took part in the V All-Russian Forum of Inclusive Higher Education with International Participation “Formation of the Space of Inclusive Education: Requirements of the Time, Achievements, Growth Areas”

    Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Olga Petrova addressed the Forum participants with a welcoming speech, noting the importance of developing inclusive higher education.

    The State University of Management was represented at the Forum by the Director of the RUMTS Elena Mitrofanova, the project managers of the RUMTS Tatyana Beregovskaya and Associate Professor Svetlana Grishaeva.

    Forum participants discussed six key problem areas:

    Theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation of the inclusive education space. Priorities of scientific research in the field of inclusive higher education. Issues of comprehensive support for students with disabilities in the social, educational and labor spheres. Practices of career guidance, education and employment of persons with disabilities. Social and educational inclusion, personal and professional development in the context of inclusion. Interdepartmental, interlevel and network interaction in education.

    The event featured a professional discussion of current issues in a wide range of continuous and successive, seamless inclusive education, social, educational and labor inclusion.

    Let us recall that a resource educational and methodological center for training disabled people and people with disabilities has been created and has been successfully operating since 2017 on the basis of the State University of Management. It is the curator of partner universities in 4 regions: Moscow, Moscow Region, Oryol Region and Smolensk Region.

    The meeting of the Academic Council began, as per tradition, with a pleasant ceremony of honoring the Polytechnicians and the university’s partners.

    Then Andrey Ivanovich congratulated the graduate and postgraduate student of the Polytechnic University, assistant of the Higher School of Sports Pedagogy of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation, World and European Champion in short water Kirill Prigoda with a recent victory at the Russian Swimming Championship.     For the first time in the history of the Polytechnic Military Training Center, for excellent academic performance, active civic position, initiative and diligence demonstrated in volunteer work and assistance to participants of the SVO, students of the communications department Grigory Aleksandrov (IMMiT) and Artem Tikhonravov (IEIT) received departmental awards of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation – the medal “Marshal of the Signal Troops Peresypkin”.

    Lecturer at the Institute of Secondary Vocational Education Tatiana Tsvetkova received two awards – gratitude from the Committee on Science and Higher Education “For conscientious work, great personal contribution to the development of the professional education system of St. Petersburg” and gratitude from the rector of SPbPU A. I.     At the international robot fighting championship RoboWars, which took place in the Indian city of Surat during the largest technology festival Mindbend and brought together more than 80 teams from different countries, the CML-team of the Student Design Bureau of the Advanced Engineering School “Digital Engineering” won – engineer of the Experimental Design Bureau of the SPbPU PISh Vsevolod Bolshakov and laboratory assistant of the Experimental Design Bureau of the SPbPU PISh Daria Kuatkhina. The guys also became winners in the individual competition “Battle of Robots – KRASHILOVO”, in which more than 40 teams from different regions of Russia participated.

    In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, the Polytechnic University is organizing a large-scale program dedicated to the heroes who participated in the Great Patriotic War from among the students and teachers of the university.     On April 25, the annual international historical dictation on the events of the Great Patriotic War, “Victory Dictation”, was held within the walls of SPbGASU. According to the organizers, more than 250 students and employees of the university took part in it. More than two million people wrote it in all regions of our country and in 84 countries of the world.

    “Victory Dictation” was held simultaneously at three SPbGASU sites. Within 45 minutes, participants completed 25 tasks developed by leading historians of the country.

    Volunteer assistance in conducting the dictation was provided by activists of the all-Russian student project of Rosmolodezh “Your Move”, second-year bachelor’s students of the Faculty of Engineering Ecology and Urban Economy Victoria Marusey and Danil Ivanov. We asked them to share their opinions about the dictation, as well as to tell about their projects.

    “The dictation is our memory of the events of the war years. We must remember the feat of our ancestors,” Danil is sure.

    “Thanks to such events, young people learn more about history,” Victoria believes.

    Together with second-year undergraduate students of the Institute of Economics and Geophysics Alina Prikhodko and Anna Kozhina, Victoria is working on an environmental project within the framework of the “I Do” track, “Analysis of the state of soil and ground in St. Petersburg to assess the possibility of planting green spaces.” The result of the project will be an electronic map that visually displays the environmental state of various areas, as well as recommendations for planting plants. Information can be entered into the map by all interested city residents, and not only. “I have a special interest in ecology and strive to contribute to improving the environmental situation both in the city and in the country,” said the student, who is also the group leader.

    Danil Ivanov not only studies, but also works as a technologist in the company. As part of the “I Do” track, he is implementing the WaterTechnologies project, aimed at making the process of developing treatment facilities easier.

    “Any treatment facilities are very expensive and complicated. A lot of documents are created when implementing even simple water treatment plants for both drinking and technical purposes. The presence of such water treatment plants is the key to the development of any modern city. There are very few people who can and want to do such a complex task. They have a huge amount of work, and this overload causes burnout, inattention, which leads to errors. My project will help reduce the workload of each person, speed up the process of document development, reduce the influence of the human factor and make the water in our country a little cleaner,” the student said.

    One of the participants of the “Victory Dictation” was a fourth-year bachelor’s student of the construction faculty Zlata Zolotykh, who heads the “EcoTusa” project. The children collect waste paper and plastic caps, participate in city and all-Russian clean-up days.

    “This dictation is a very important event, and I am glad that so many of our students are here. The questions were interesting. I learned some things for the first time,” Zlata shared.

    “Victory Dictation”, aimed at increasing historical literacy and patriotic education of youth, is of particular importance in the year of the eightieth anniversary of the Great Victory and in the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.     How will the mortgage lending market change in 2025?

    Experts’ forecast for issuance mortgage loans in Russia is disappointing – experts expect the worst result since 2016. As expected, in 2025:

    high interest rates, often exceeding 30%; worsening conditions for government-supported programs; tightening regulation of the industry by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation; popularity of installment programs from developers – such loans already account for up to 50% of all contracts; continuing growth in housing prices – apartments are becoming less and less affordable.

    “It is not profitable for Russians to take out mortgage loans – now many families planning to buy housing prefer to open savings accounts and deposits, expecting a reduction in rates in the industry,” experts emphasize.

    Current borrowers have also changed their payment behavior – early mortgage repayment is becoming less and less popular, and by the end of 2025, only 2% of contracts will be closed ahead of schedule. Russians have fewer and fewer incentives to repay loans early, especially against the backdrop of favorable conditions for savings products.

    When will demand for mortgages among Russians recover?

    It is definitely not worth expecting even a partial recovery of the industry in the coming months.     The immersive music show “Don’t Sleep!” was held at the Polytechnic University Student Club. The event was decorated in the “Mafia” style and attracted over 300 guests.

    Several hours of music and interactive tasks, fingerprinting and solving the commissar’s board, acting performances and cut scenes – that’s how rich the show turned out to be. The songs were performed not only for the audience, but also with them. One of the features was the alternate performance of compositions by different groups under the direction of vocalists and the invitation of guests to a white dance.

    Each of us put a part of ourselves into the concert. I especially remember the rehearsals, when we devoted time to improvisation and created music the way we felt it together, — shared third-year student of the State Institute of Music and keyboard player Ekaterina Roslyakova.

    The acting troupe united members of the Polytechnic University Student Theatre and ETU “LETI” students. The participants of the show tried on different roles: a commissioner and his assistant, a doctor, a mayor, a cabaret owner and a crazy fanatic. They had to interact with civilians, who became fewer and fewer by the end of the show, while the number of mafia supporters increased.

    I have never seen such dedication from a team before. Despite the fact that a lot of effort was expended, with such active people it comes easy, – said LETI master’s student and the actor who plays the mayor Kamil Abdrakhmanov.

    The show “Don’t Sleep!” started in 2023 with a concert-house concert featuring members of the vocal studio Polyvox. This year, the event became one of the most anticipated events of April.

    I can’t believe that our show has become so popular! Everyone had an unforgettable experience. Despite the difficulties, this is exactly what we do everything for, and we need to keep moving forward. And the most valuable thing that this project has given me (and, I think, not only me) is the people, our team, the quartet, the community that together is capable of great achievements, – emphasized the vocalist and first-year student of the PISh “CI” Anastasia Sreznevskaya.

    More than 10,000 scientific projects were supported by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) in 2024.   • MIL-OSI Russia: New Ideas for Cities: The Results of the Urban Development Technologies Hackathon

    The hackathon “Urban Development Technologies” has ended at the State University of Management. It was held for the fourth time as part of the V All-Russian Interuniversity Forum “The Art of Management: Science, Practice, Project Technologies”.

    The competition was attended by 80 students from GUU, RUT (MIIT), RGUTIS, RTU MIREA, RUDN, SFedU, SPbGASU of various fields of study as participants and team facilitators.

    The organizing committee included representatives of the Department of Acceleration Programs and Project-Based Learning of the State University of Management: Irina Milkina, Evgeny Titov, Anastasia Lobacheva, Ekaterina Illarionova, Irina Denisova, Danila Smirnov.

    The goal of the hackathon was to solve management problems for the development of students’ professional competencies in the field of creating a comfortable urban environment, developing urban infrastructure and logistics, improving the ecological environment, supporting social entrepreneurship, and involving young people in urban projects.

    The business partners of the competition were the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Analytical Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation”, the Scientific Research Center for Municipal Economics, Sber, Vitra Russia, Roskachestvo and Beyond Taylor, VYSOTA-SERVIS Group of Companies, the State Budgetary Institution “Leisure and Sports Center of TiNAO”, the Museum of Urban Economy of Moscow, the Basmanny District Museum – Basmania and others.

    The special feature of the hackathon “Urban Development Technologies” is the original approach to the formation of multi-competence inter-university teams with skills in a variety of areas and directions from information technology to public relations. The guys not only worked on real problem cases from partners, but also participated in an educational master class on team building, during which they got to know each other, formed and presented their teams.

    The participants also had a dialogue with the competition’s business partners, both in person and online, and visited the Moscow Museum of Urban Economy, where they were impressed by the visualization of the processes of providing housing and communal services to the population and a full immersion in the topic.

    On the final day, the teams presented their projects to a panel of experts consisting of representatives of the event’s partners.

    The winner of the hackathon was the team “Infinite”, which worked on the case “Financial model for the maintenance of apartment buildings” from the Center for Municipal Economics, consisting of: Linda Yuliana (RUDN), Lozovsky Viktor (GUU), Baburina Alena (SFedU), Kuznetsov Vladimir (RUT (MIIT)), Kuleshov Ivan (RTU MIREA), Kudin Ivan (GUU), Paramonova Irina Ilyinichna (GUU), Rumeus Elizaveta (GUU).

    The 2nd degree diploma was awarded to the team “6 cadres”, which worked on the case from the Basmanny District Museum – Basmania, consisting of: Ivan Gordeev (RUDN), Ilya Kopytin (RGUTIS), Alevtina Maryenko (GUU), Vladimir Komov (GUU), Ksenia Starikova (GUU), Alexandra Nenarokomova (GUU).

    2 teams that scored the same number of points from the expert jury received 3rd degree diplomas:

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Getting to Know the Technologies of the Future: Participants of the SUM Accelerator Visited TechnoSpark

    Participants of the Acceleration Interuniversity Program “City Energy. Environment 2.0”, implemented by the State University of Management, visited “TechnoSpark” and got acquainted with the latest developments. The excursion was organized by the Department of Project Management of the State University of Management.

    The event was attended by teams of students from our university, Bauman Moscow State Technical University and MIRE, who are developing the following technological startups: thermoelectric material for use in optoelectronics and solar batteries, a device for generating bioenergy, a heated thermo mug, capsule fitness clubs, a bull-machine, a system for automating warehouse complexes, a device for monitoring and cleaning air, an adaptive lighting system, a multifunctional bath, soap production and processing technology and others.

    TechnoSpark, a part of the Rusnano Group, is the industrial partner of the program, so the participants came here for expertise and to discuss measures to support their technological startup projects. It should be noted that it was at the request of TechnoSpark that the participants developed their projects and selected young specialists for their teams from other universities.

    The tour included demonstrations of the latest production sites, expert consultations with teams, and a pitch session for projects.

    Participants learned about contract manufacturing opportunities for startups and corporations and about the most powerful exoskeleton in Russia, visited a metalworking shop and saw ready-made solutions for external customers: umbrella sharing for the Metro, Tubot in-pipe robots for hard-to-reach branched pipelines for the Transneft company.

    The teams got acquainted with the latest domestic developments in warehouse management – intelligent logistics robots RONAVI Robotics for solving various tasks of warehouse and production logistics, as well as with the products and services of TEN Optics, which applies various types of coatings to glass. They saw how artificial diamonds are grown.

    Specialists and experts from MED Print companies demonstrated their own production of bone and joint implants that quickly grow into human tissue and allow to shorten and facilitate the rehabilitation period, talked about the launch of serial additive production of medical and plastic products, demonstrated finished products for people and animals. And at the Russian Flexible Electronics Center, accelerator participants learned about the production of EPD displays and other components for flexible plastic electronics in the largest clean room in Russia.

    At the end of the excursion, a pitch session was held, at which the teams presented their developments on technological projects and discussed the possibilities of further cooperation with TechnoSpark and its partners.

    “This accelerator shows the effect of the requests that the teams are developing their projects on: these are extremely popular areas of technological production in our country, these are specific partner companies that are looking for exactly these solutions. It is also great when managers, marketers, and guys from technical universities: chemists, engineers work in one team. The development of the project ceases to be just conceptual, but is overgrown with specific solutions, which we saw today in the form of models, sketches, drawings, formulas. If the guys managed to do this in two and a half months, then it will be interesting to see what they will show at Demodna, taking into account today’s comments and remarks,” said Yuri Bocharov, General Director of Contract Manufacturing TEN Group of the Rusnano Group.

    The acceleration interuniversity program “City Energy. Environment 2.0” is held at the State University of Management from February to June 2025 and is already the seventh acceleration program implemented at the State University of Management since 2022. This year, over 120 teams from 26 Russian universities are participating in it.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: The Digital GTO took place at SPbGASU

    The Digital GTO test was taken at SPbGASU on April 22. Over the course of an hour, 77 schoolchildren and college students answered one hundred questions about construction, design, and 3D modeling. Those who scored more than 70 points out of a possible one hundred will receive an additional five points to their Unified State Exam results when entering SPbGASU for the training program 08.03.01 Construction and specialty 08.05.02 Construction of unique buildings and structures.

    “Digital GTO” is an interactive test developed by the Etalon Group and the National Association of Organizations in the Sphere of Information Modeling Technologies (NOTIM) as part of the career guidance project “I am the builder of the future!” of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of Russia. “Digital GTO” is designed to help future young specialists determine the level of their digital competencies in the field of construction. The project’s objectives are to expand opportunities for admission, prepare sought-after professionals, and fill the personnel shortage.

    The Digital GTO project was launched at the Growth Point of SPbGASU. Ilya Gladushevsky, responsible secretary of the admissions committee, associate professor of the department of ground transport and technological machines, addressed the participants: “I have already seen many of you and will see you again in the summer. Today you have a unique opportunity to participate in the Digital GTO project! The day will be eventful and interesting!” he noted.

    Yulia Yakovleva, Head of Adaptation and Special Projects at Etalon Group, spoke about the tasks included in the test and why it is held at our university: “The tasks were developed by employees of EtalonProekt, the general designer of our group. We can say that this is not a basic level, but a level “with an asterisk”. The test is intended for those who already have in-depth knowledge, participate in career guidance events, and are passionate about their profession. Today, many companies are hunting for personnel and hold their own events to work with future students. Even kindergartens are specialized – they start raising personnel from the cradle!”

    We asked the guys why they came to SPbGASU to take the Digital GTO.

    Vadim Savelyev, 11th grade student of Gymnasium No. 261 (St. Petersburg): “I am planning to enroll in SPbGASU. I am choosing between the Industrial and Civil Construction and Construction of Unique Buildings and Structures programs. It is interesting to learn about the university, to see it from the inside. I have not been here yet, but I have many friends, and they have told me about it. The fact that you can get additional points is also important. I prepared on my own, studied programs, new technologies. And my school teachers helped.”

    Maria Krestyaninova, a fourth-year student at the Academy of Urban Environment Management, Urban Development and Printing (AUGSiP, St. Petersburg): “I came here because I am very interested in this profession. Friends told me that they teach well here, the teachers are good. And the extra points interested me. I have studied many programs over four years. I rely on my knowledge and hope for a good result.

    I am currently writing my thesis. I will be applying to SPbGASU this year.”

    After the formal part, the participants went to the computer rooms and started taking the test. The children concentrated on solving the tasks for an hour, then they had a tour of our university. Arina Sukhacheva, a third-year student of the architecture department, introduced the audiences, the model workshop, and the drawing department. Returning to the “Growth Point”, the children watched a presentation about the university prepared by Elena Abashina, a fourth-year student of the construction department, a specialist in the admissions committee. The results were summed up and the winners were awarded here. The scores were calculated by a computer program. The best results were shown by five people:

    Timofey Isaev (gymnasium No. 52, 9th grade) – 90 points; Alexey Ermilov (school No. 18, grade 11) – 76 points; Yaroslav Karachakov (school No. 531, 10th grade) – 75 points; Ivan Postnikov (gymnasium No. 540, 11th grade) – 75 points; Tikhon Bayruk (school No. 18, 11th grade) – 73 points.

    “I have 90 points. Luck was on my side today! I will definitely apply to PGS. It was difficult at the Olympiad itself!” said Timofey Isaev.

    “You can only participate in the Digital GTO in person. This time, schoolchildren and college students from St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Tula and other cities came to us. In the future, we plan to cooperate with the Etalon Group to disseminate information about the project as widely as possible,” said Elvira Tkachenko, deputy responsible secretary of the admissions committee.

    “We will conduct the “Digital GTO” on the platform of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of Russia “I am the builder of the future!” quite often. If it didn’t work out this time, there will be a chance next time!” – Yulia Yakovleva, a representative of the Etalon Group, encouraged the guys.
