KUWAIT, July 29 (Xinhua) — Kuwait announced on Monday the launch of an “air bridge” to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip following a three-day donation campaign launched by the government last week.

Assistant Foreign Minister for Development and International Cooperation Hamad Al-Meshan said the funds raised would be used to purchase humanitarian aid from the local market, including oil, flour and other essential items.

He added that the supplies would be delivered to the Egyptian city of El Arish by military aircraft and handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent in coordination with its Kuwaiti counterparts.

    H. Al-Meshan also noted the possibility of transferring part of the aid to Jordan, and then the Jordanian army would drop it from the air into Gaza.

Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry, in a statement last week, reiterated its condemnation of Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has further worsened hunger and malnutrition in the besieged enclave. –0–

  • MIL-OSI Russia: How an Automated Bid Bot on a Supplier Portal Helps Business Grow

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

For the first half of 2025, entrepreneurs entered intoSuppliers portal about 45 thousand contracts following the results of quotation sessions using a trading bot. The amount of transactions amounted to almost seven billion rubles. This was reported by Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development.

“The trading bot simplifies participation in quotation sessions by automatically placing bids. It allows entrepreneurs to send their price offers automatically and thus participate in several quotation sessions simultaneously. During trading, the bot consistently reduces the bid to the minimum value specified by the user. In the first half of 2025, 44.7 thousand contracts were concluded on the supplier portal using this service – a third more than in the same period last year. The volume of transactions increased by 44 percent and reached almost seven billion rubles. High competition allowed customers to save 1.1 billion rubles,” said Maria Bagreeva.

The service can be used from anywhere in the country. It helps entrepreneurs enter the interregional market and increase sales.

“The most active regions using the trading bot were Moscow, the Moscow and Ryazan regions, St. Petersburg and the Perm region. In total, in the first half of the year, they accounted for 38.4 thousand contracts worth 5.7 billion rubles, which is 86 percent of the total number and 83 percent of the volume of all transactions concluded using this function,” said the head of the Moscow City Department for Competition Policy

    Kirill Purtov.

Quotation sessions are mini-auctions that last for three, six or 24 hours. During this time, suppliers compete with each other, gradually reducing the contract price. The winner is the entrepreneur who offers the lowest price.

In the capital Department of Information Technology They said that the automatic bidding bot turned out to be a reliable assistant for users: it optimizes the processes of participation in competitive procedures, saves resources and allows attracting more suppliers to the portal. The bot does not guarantee victory in the quotation session, but it significantly saves entrepreneurs’ time.

The service is especially useful for small and medium-sized businesses. Entrepreneurs who have only recently joined the platform will find the free educational course “Supplier School” on quotation sessions useful. It helps beginners learn more about mini-auctions and practice during a training session. The visual format of the training simplifies the adaptation process on the platform and helps them start participating in procurement faster.

As Sergei Sobyanin reported earlier, in the first half of 2025, purchases worth almost 58 billion rubles.

Suppliers portal was created in 2013 to automate small-volume purchases. Today, the catalog includes 3.2 million products and services from various suppliers. About 1.5 thousand contracts are concluded on the platform every day.

In the portal’s regional offices, specialists train entrepreneurs to work on the platform, answer questions from customers and suppliers, hold face-to-face meetings, and collect suggestions for improving functions and solving technical problems. In addition, users can contact the support service at a single federal phone number: 7 800 303-12-34 or leave a request atwebsite.

The functional customer of the portal is the capital Department of Competition Policy, and its technical development is supervised by Department of Information Technology of the City of Moscow.

Development of electronic services for business corresponds to the objectives of the national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State” and the regional project of the city of Moscow “Digital Public Administration”.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: From First Aid Skills to Developing Emotional Intelligence: How Moscow Social Workers Are Trained

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Continuous learning is one of the main trends in education. It is especially important for employees in the social sphere, because caring for people requires a lot of knowledge and skills, sensitivity and the ability to find a common language with everyone. Developing competencies helps Institute of Continuing Professional Education for Social Sphere Workers in Moscow. This year it celebrated 17 years since its foundation.

A mos.ru correspondent visited the training site and learned how social security employees are trained. Is it possible to master the profession from scratch, what does a simulation room look like, why first aid skills are needed by all specialists, and what scientific research is conducted by teachers — in our material.

The Science of Caring for Others

The Institute of Continuing Professional Education for Social Workers is located at 10 1st Basmanny Lane. The modern, bright space is quiet during the day: classes are in session in the classrooms. The lobby is decorated with a collage of photographs of teachers and students, collected for the 17th anniversary of the institute. We are greeted by Director Igor Timofeev. He tells us that among the students are specialists from family centers, Moscow Longevity Centers, psychologists, speech therapists, exercise therapy instructors, social inspectors, and other social workers.

“Moscow sets the bar high, constantly introducing new technologies and standards for service delivery. Social workers should develop together with the city. The institute offers various courses – from professional retraining programs lasting six to nine months to online trainings that can be completed in an hour. For example, we train home care specialists: candidates for the position study the specifics of caring for older people, the intricacies of interaction, including with cognitive changes. You can also get the profession of a mediator – a mediator in family conflicts. Advanced training courses are designed for those who want to improve in their field. We also pump up soft skills: the ability to negotiate, convey your thoughts, hear the interlocutor,” he noted.

The institute also has a school of kinship care. There, Muscovites can learn how to take care of their disabled and elderly relatives: how to safely move, feed, and help maintain hygiene. The institute is also involved in scientific research.

“All our work comes down to one mission – to promote human well-being,” Igor Timofeev emphasized.

Adaptive Tableware and an Empathy Suit: How the School of Kinship Care Project WorksHow home-based social assistance is provided to lonely people

    CPR and Empathy Suit

Before going on practical training in city centers, students hone their skills in a simulation classroom. We go up to the second floor and enter a spacious hall where a first aid lesson is taking place. All social workers learn these skills so that they can act quickly and competently in an emergency.

On the floor lies a mannequin — a full-size model of a human with a flexible chest. Teacher Svetlana Moiseenko demonstrates how to perform CPR, then invites students to try it. She regulates the rhythm and depth of their compressions, explains why they should take turns: a rescuer gets tired after a couple of minutes, which affects the quality of resuscitation.

Then the group figures out what to do if an older person falls. According to the teacher, carpets, wires, and the bathtub are especially dangerous for them in the house. If they trip or slip and fall, the first thing you need to do is calm yourself down: fussing will do harm. Then you need to calm the victim down, find out if they can move their legs, arms, and head. If you suspect a fracture, you need to call an ambulance.

The next topic is the Heimlich maneuver. It is used if a foreign object has entered a person’s airways. The teacher’s assistant puts on a training red vest. The tube imitates the airways, and the soft bulb with air imitates the diaphragm. Svetlana Moiseenko puts a plastic cap in the tube, grabs the assistant from behind and squeezes the bulb sharply. The cap flies out.

The teacher explains that bedridden patients should be seated before eating – this way they will not choke, and the Heimlich maneuver will not be needed. She approaches the bed where the mannequin is lying and demonstrates proper feeding: she carefully seats it, puts a pillow under it, and uses adaptive dishes. The students are also taught on it schools of related care.

“We are taught how to help without straining your back or your soul.”

In addition, the simulation center has an empathy suit – a device with gloves, glasses, earplugs, weights and pads that creates a feeling of heaviness in the back, weakness in the joints, poor vision and hearing. Thanks to it, you can feel like you are in the body of an older person.

“I have a medical education. At the institute, I teach first aid, long-term care and social rehabilitation. I admire people who work in this field. Taking care of others is not easy. We are taught how to help without straining your back or soul. For example, to avoid burnout, you need to replenish your energy. Meetings with loved ones, theaters, excursions, travel – everyone has their own recipe. When working with people, you can’t let yourself fade away,” admitted Svetlana Moiseenko.

We chat with the class participants. Among them is Sergey Belov, a care assistant at the gerontology center “Dmitrovsky”His duties include caring for the residents of the institution and accompanying them to hospitals. When working with the hearing impaired, he acts as a sign language interpreter.

“Psychological training is especially important for care assistants, because caring for older people takes a lot of moral resources. It is important to show attention, sympathy, patience. Professional skills also need to be developed. I was already familiar with the rules of first aid, but this course turned out to be more detailed, with practice on modern simulators. I plan to attend other classes at the institute. I am also studying at a medical college, which helps me in my work,” shared Sergey Belov.

Liliya Kim, an assistant teacher at the Guryevsky supported living center, combines her work with her studies to become a clinical psychologist. She works on the socialization of young people with special needs: she explains to them how to shop, cook, keep the house clean, and manage finances.

“Social workers need to be constantly trained. Our center supports different children, and we need to know a lot: the needs of people with cerebral palsy, prenatal injuries, organic brain disorders. In addition, Moscow is changing, and we must change with it. We help students learn new technologies, such as paying with a smile at the cash register, paying for travel on the metro using biometrics. The Institute has all the conditions for us to improve. Qualified teachers, modern equipment, a beautiful building – education at a high level,” she believes.

    Leadership training for managers

The Institute also offers a program for heads of social institutions. We move to the fourth floor and look into a noisy classroom. Students split into groups and complete assignments. The training is dedicated to public speaking. Teacher Elena Silvanovich explains how to attract the audience’s attention: share stories from life, provide quotes, summarize the story at the end and call for action.

“I help train flexible skills: team management, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence. I prefer interaction to lectures: this way, a small transformation occurs in each participant. In order to remain a professional in their field, a social security employee needs to be in an environment that motivates development: in it, you can learn something new, exchange experiences, be in a circle of like-minded people. The Institute of Continuing Professional Education is exactly such an environment,” Elena Silvanovich is sure.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The main stage of the admission campaign to colleges has ended in Moscow. More than 37 thousand ninth-graders in the capital have chosen secondary vocational education to continue their education. This is 10 thousand more than last year. Such a high interest in secondary vocational education has been recorded for the first time. Taking this fact into account, the capital has decided to extend the admission campaign to colleges until autumn, reported Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

“The main period for accepting applications for admission to Moscow colleges for this year’s ninth-graders has ended. The numbers speak for themselves: more than 37 thousand Moscow ninth-graders have chosen colleges to continue their education. For comparison: last year, 27 thousand Moscow ninth-graders entered colleges. Thus, this year the number of applicants has grown by almost 40 percent. This is a record figure in recent years. This year, tenth-graders also showed interest in secondary vocational education: 1.5 thousand students who completed the 10th grade decided to enter college. The main stage of the admissions campaign is over, but we see how much interest the children show in colleges, so we have extended the application deadline until early autumn. It is very important that this year every Moscow school graduate has the opportunity not only to get a free place in a capital city college, but also a place that matches their interests. We will definitely provide all the children with the opportunity to study in the specialties or areas that are really close to them. We are very pleased that the guys choose to study at colleges. The trend in the labor market is obvious: specialists with applied skills are in great demand among employers,” said Anastasia Rakova.

The most popular major among college applicants was programming (“information systems and programming”). In second place is the profession of a nurse (“nursing”), and the top three is rounded out by future primary school teachers (“teaching in primary grades”).

Ninth-grade graduates are also interested in areas related to the aviation industry. The professions of security service specialist and police officer are in demand (“law enforcement activities”), popular destinations in the hotel and tourism sector (“tourism and hospitality”).

This year, colleges will accept seven thousand applicants for specialties in the IT and creative industries. Another 4.3 thousand students will master industrial professions, and 4.5 thousand will prepare for work in the hospitality industry. About four thousand people will enroll in healthcare programs, and three thousand Muscovites will receive specialties related to law enforcement.

The admissions campaign for ninth-graders of previous years, eleventh-graders and applicants from other regions is ongoing in Moscow colleges. This year, applications can be submitted electronically through the portal Mos.ru for five specialties in one college or distribute them between several educational institutions. The deadline for accepting documents is August 15, and for specialties with entrance examinations – August 10.

Station “Dostoevskaya” on the Circle Line of the metro is a quarter complete. This was reported by Sergei Sobyanin in on your telegram channel.

“This is one of the most complex projects of the Moscow metro due to the dense development in the city center, numerous utility lines and underground water. The work was accelerated thanks to additional shafts for moving construction workers and cargo. Instead of the traditional one or two passages at Dostoyevskaya, there will be seven of them. After the station is put into operation, some of the shafts will become ventilation shafts.

“Dostoevskaya” is the 13th station onCircle metro line. It will be located between Prospekt Mira and Novoslobodskaya. The station will provide a transfer to the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line.

Two vestibules are designed – underground (under Durova Street at the intersection with Delegatskaya) and above-ground (at the intersection of Durova Street and Olympic Avenue). The above-ground vestibule will be connected to the station by an underground passage with travelators.

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The Made in Moscow project unites more than 400 brands that create decorative and care cosmetics. On International Lipstick Day, Moscow entrepreneurs spoke about professional products for lip makeup.

Lipstick is considered one of the main elements of makeup. It helps to create a bright festive or calm everyday image, to emphasize the beauty of the lips and face. Participants of the Made in Moscow project create high-quality products that have become bestsellers in the beauty industry today.

    Nourishing oils and nude shades

The production of lipstick in the capital is one of the successful examples of localization of cosmetics against the backdrop of the departure of foreign brands. For example, representatives of the Beautydrugs company believe that it is the opportunity to establish production in Moscow and receive support from the city that allows maintaining stable quality, reducing dependence on external supplies and creating new products faster. Thanks to participation in the Made in Moscow project, the brand was able to declare itself and create a stable demand for its products.

One of the most popular products of the company has become a universal caring lip gloss. It not only gives a pleasant shade, but also moisturizes the lips. Decorative cosmetics with a care function are becoming fashionable, many manufacturers change the composition of lipsticks, adding nourishing macadamia, jojoba or olive oils.

The brand notes that natural colors of warm shades will be popular in 2026, including the entire nude palette – from brown to wine. Fashionistas will be especially attracted to lipsticks with shimmer – interspersed with glitter of different sizes and shades (from golden to pink and pearlescent).

In the first half of 2025, Muscovites applied for government services in the property sector more than 60 thousand times. Over 70 percent of applications came through the mos.ru portal. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.

“Several years ago, the capital transferred state services in the property sector to digital form, making interaction with the city as convenient as possible. As a result, it became possible to request the necessary documents, conclude contracts and additional agreements to them, as well as perform other transactions with real estate and land plots online through the mos.ru portal. From January to June 2025, individuals and legal entities applied for state services 61.9 thousand times. More than 45 thousand applications were submitted electronically,” the deputy mayor said.

Two of them can only be obtained on the mos.ru portal, and five more – in paper and electronic form.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: How Moscow Longevity Affects the Lives of the Older Generation

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

“Moscow Longevity” and the analytical center of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) conducted a study, analyzing the impact of the project on various areas of life, including the health and social activity of people of “silver” age, their relationships with children, and others. The results were reported by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

“The proportion of elderly people is growing all over the world, and Moscow is no exception — the capital is among the leaders in terms of demographic indicators. The average life expectancy in the city has reached almost 80 years. We see that Muscovites want to invest in a long, healthy and active life. The benchmark for many was “Moscow Longevity” — the largest project for the older generation in Russia, which has united more than 660 thousand participants over the course of its work. A joint study with the VTsIOM analytical center showed that the emergence of such a project in the city and its rapid development affected not only Muscovites of “silver” age, but also the younger generation. They began to think about how to maintain health and quality of life in the long term. Based on the example of active participants in “Moscow Longevity”, we see that over the years, opportunities for self-realization only increase. 83 percent of respondents are confident in the positive changes associated with the project, with every second one noting positive changes in several areas of life at once,” noted Anastasia Rakova.

    Gadgets and health

Experts in the fields of sociology, philosophy, economics, psychology and health care were involved in the methodological and consulting work on the study. The study is based on the results of interviews, focus group responses and a mass survey, in which 1.6 thousand Muscovites over 35 years old took part. The experts identified five key effects of the project.

Contribution to digital, legal and financial education, including helping the older generation master gadgets and online services, as well as protection from fraudsters, was noted by 93 percent of respondents.

92 percent believe that participants are more involved in social life, continue to acquire new skills, and even change career tracks by retraining or turning a hobby into a source of income. The project also makes the educational process more accessible and thoughtful for an audience over 55 years old.

Improved health indicators were identified as the main benefit for participants by 86 percent of respondents. Of these, more than half noted increased physical activity and attention to the prevention of age-related diseases.

Previously, specialists from the Russian Association of Gerontologists and Geriatricians proved that project participants have higher rates of physical and cognitive health, lower levels of depression and risk of loss of independence compared to their peers who do not participate in it.

The project has created all the conditions for city residents to not only spend their time in an interesting and active way, but also to take care of their health. For example, this spring, a unique program for preserving cognitive skills and psycho-emotional health was launched in the network of Moscow longevity centers in cooperation with the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia.

Intra-family connections and the change of the city

81 percent of respondents noted the strengthening of ties between different generations, a more respectful attitude towards elders and the return of the value of a multi-generational family.

This thesis is confirmed by another study on the impact of the project on the relationships of participants within their families, conducted by Moscow Longevity in June 2024. According to 76 percent of respondents, their relationships with relatives improved after participating in the project, new topics for conversation and common hobbies appeared in the family. Thus, more than 40 percent of participants began to set an example of a healthy lifestyle for their children and grandchildren.

On average, 78 percent of respondents noted that thanks to Moscow Longevity, the capital’s infrastructure has become much more oriented toward older people. The project has created a system of accessible sites for creativity, sports, and education, which are in demand by the “silver” generation. According to experts, the city has become a single platform for active longevity, and care for the elderly has become a recognizable element of the city’s identity and a symbol of social responsibility.

More than 1,300 Moscow organizations cooperate with the project. In 2018, the first to join Moscow Longevity were government institutions, including schools, colleges, libraries, as well as community centers, parks, and clinics. Over time, commercial and non-profit organizations joined them. At the initial stage, there were about 140 of them, and now there are more than 420, as the number of participating organizations has increased by almost 300 percent in seven years.

Moscow Longevity Centers have opened in almost every district of the capital. The modern spaces have everything you need for communication, leisure, sports and creativity – from gyms to culinary studios and libraries.

You can become a participant in the project, as well as register your relative online on the portal Mos.ru, in the offices of the public services “My Documents”, as well as in any Moscow longevity center.

“Moscow Longevity” is implemented within the framework of the regional project “Older Generation” of the national project “Family” to increase the period of active longevity and healthy life expectancy in the capital.

An AI system for diagnosing stroke and selecting patients for surgical treatment is undergoing clinical validation in Moscow. It was created by doctors from the I.V. Davydovsky City Clinical Hospital together with a Moscow innovation company as part of a grant program with the support of the Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare (Medtech). This was announced by Sergei Sobyanin in on your telegram channel.

“The system is integrated into the local digital circuit of the hospital and helps to quickly and accurately make decisions about the necessity and effectiveness of surgery for ischemic stroke, and also offers optimal tactics for patient management,” wrote Sergei Sobyanin.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Rosneft Improves Gas Well Research

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Rosneft – An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Specialists from the Ufa scientific institute “Rosneft” have developed and patented the digital assistant “DataTools”, which automates the process of collecting and processing dynamic data on the flow rate and pressure of gas and gas condensate wells.

The functionality of the new software allows determining the reasons for changes in production, such as a decrease in reservoir pressure or deterioration of the hydrodynamic connection between the well and the reservoir. The software shows how the flow rate has changed as a result of one factor or another and forms a rating of gas wells requiring geological and technical measures.

The digital assistant demonstrated high efficiency at one of the Company’s key gas condensate fields. Using the developed tool, specialists quickly analyzed about 150 wells and identified the priority ones for inflow intensification work. After the implementation of the measures, the well productivity increased by 3%, which is comparable to repeated hydraulic fracturing of the formation.

Rosneft is the first oil and gas company in Russia that successfully creates software that covers all key oil and gas production processes. The Company’s specialists have already developed and implemented 24 unique software products.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Rosneft employees took an active part in the Water of Russia campaign

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Rosneft – An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Rosneft employees are actively participating in the All-Russian campaign “Water of Russia”. Oil workers are holding campaigns in the regions to clean the banks of water bodies from garbage and household waste, and measures to develop natural sources.

Preserving the environment for future generations is an integral part of Rosneft’s strategy. The company and its subsidiaries aim to achieve leadership positions in minimizing environmental impact, improving the environmental friendliness of production, and preserving ecosystems.

As part of the Water of Russia campaign in the Samara Region, employees of Samaraneftegaz, Rosneft’s largest oil producing enterprise in the region, cleaned up a section of the coastline near the Volga embankment in Samara. The enterprise also provides support to municipalities in restoring and improving the infrastructure of natural springs. Oil workers tidied up the territories of springs and natural springs in the Bezenchuksky, Krasnoyarsk, Kinelsky districts and other natural sites. Volunteers from the enterprises of the Samara production site of Rosneft also regularly participate in the ecological expedition Springs of the Samara Region. The goal of the project is to preserve spring water sources, which play an important role in the ecosystem of the region – from providing the population with clean drinking water and feeding reservoirs to maintaining the overall water balance. Thus, with the participation of representatives of the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery, three natural springs were revived and the territory of several springs in remote settlements was improved.

Volunteers from the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery, together with colleagues from other Rosneft enterprises and activists from the regional movement EcoRavnovesie, cleared 2.5 hectares of the coastline at the confluence of the Volga and Sok rivers of garbage, collected and sent for recycling about five cubic meters of household and current-borne waste – plastic bottles and bags, cans and broken glass.

Employees of the Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company implement various environmental activities to preserve the cleanliness of the Volga banks and islands, local lakes, natural springs, and coastal areas of the Kriushi and Tatyana rivers. In June, the plant workers held an eco-cleanup day on the Volga bank near the village of Granny. Volunteers cleared 2,000 square meters of the coastline and adjacent forest belt of household waste. The petrochemists also care for Lake Berezovoye in Chapayevsk, where the company’s volunteers hold an annual environmental run. Employees of the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery and the Novokuibyshevsk Oil and Additives Plant, together with activists of the “Movement of the First,” cleared about 6.5 hectares of the Volga coastline of waste.

In the cities of Buzuluk and Sorochinsk in the Orenburg region, volunteers from Orenburgneft, activists from the Movement of the First, and schoolchildren from Rosneft Classes held a joint environmental campaign on the banks of reservoirs. They cleaned up more than 1 hectare of coastal territory, collecting 10 cubic meters of garbage.

In Bashkortostan, workers of the Bashneft-Novoil plant removed household waste from almost 22 km of the coast of Lake Aslikul, the largest in the republic. Volunteers helped reduce the anthropogenic load on the ecosystem of the lake, which is very popular with tourists.

In the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, RN-Nyaganneftegaz workers cleaned 1.5 hectares of the Nyagan-Yugan River coastline, collecting about three tons of garbage. This is the second environmental action by oil workers on water bodies since the beginning of summer.

In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, employees of SevKomNeftegaz and the RN-Service branch, together with representatives of organizations in the city of Gubkinsky, took part in a clean-up day on the bank of the Pyaku-Pur River. During the eco-action, 6.8 tons of garbage were collected and more than six kilometers of coastal territory were cleaned.

More than a hundred employees of RN-Uvatneftegaz, Tyumenneftegaz, the corporate scientific center in Tyumen, as well as activists of the Movement of the First, came out for an environmental cleanup day at the largest water body in the Tyumen Region – Lake Andreyevskoye. Volunteers cleaned almost 10 hectares of the shoreline and collected about 2.5 tons of household waste. The participants of the action set up a stand on the shore with information about the water body, as well as rare species of birds and animals living in its vicinity.

In the Leningrad Region, RN-North-West workers carried out a cleanup on the coast of the Gulf of Finland, clearing a section of the coastline of household waste.

BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) — Yingkou City in northeast China’s Liaoning Province is stepping up exports of locally produced fruits to Central Asian countries. Thirteen tons of freshly picked Shine Muscat and Jufeng grapes recently passed quarantine inspection and were exported to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, under a special cold chain land transport route.

According to the website of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, the above-mentioned export was carried out under the supervision of customs officials of Bayuquan District, administratively subordinate to Dalian Customs. In addition, this is the first batch of grapes exported to Uzbekistan for Yingkou.

Yang Lansen, the person in charge of Yingkou Zhongxinwang Fresh Fruit Co., Ltd., said that in the process of developing new markets, the local customs not only helped their company strictly comply with the phytosanitary requirements of importing countries, but also provided timely professional advice on the standardization of orchard management and post-harvest processing technology, which provided strong support for the successful entry of our grapes into the Central Asian market.

At present, the area for growing high-quality grapes in Yingkou City has reached 11.7 hectares, and the annual production volume remains above 300 thousand tons.

With distinct four seasons and abundant sunshine, Yingkou has excellent conditions for growing plums and other specialty fruits.

Let us recall that in June this year, 38 tons of fresh plums were loaded onto trucks and sent to Kazakhstan. For Yingkou, this is the first batch of plums exported to Kazakhstan.

Local customs steadily ensure the smooth operation of the “green corridor” for inspection of export fruits at the place of production. At the same time, customs monitors harvesting schedules in orchards and plantations, packing plans in factories in real time, ensuring the principle of “application-inspection-export permit” for export fruits, achieving “zero waiting time” in customs clearance.

In the first half of 2025, 47.6 thousand tons of fruits worth 348 million yuan were exported under the supervision of customs officials in Bayuquan District, statistics showed. -0-

  • MIL-OSI Russia: Treasures of the Divine World. Exhibition of Hiroko Kozuki’s icons in Kolomenskoye

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

An exhibition has opened in the palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve “Treasures of the Divine World: Japanese Icons by Hiroko Kozuki”.

Orthodox icons created by a Japanese artist – at first glance, this seems surprising. After all, in order to paint icons, it is believed that it is not enough to simply know and follow the rules and canons – true faith is necessary. Hiroko Kozuki proves by her example that sacred art can exist outside of prejudices and strict religious beliefs. According to Mrs. Kozuki, the icon is the subject of her inspiration and the path to achieving happiness. When in Orthodox churches, she feels the serenity, spirituality and grandeur of these places. And her works are an example of universal spiritual search.

    The Path to the Icon

Mrs. Hiroko Kozuki, the wife of the former Japanese ambassador to Russia, lived in our country for many years. An art historian by education, she first studied French medieval art in depth. Once in Russia, Mrs. Kozuki sincerely fell in love with the local culture and immersed herself in the world of icon painting tradition. Getting acquainted with the grandeur of ancient Russian monuments, she visited many museums, monasteries and churches. The starting point for her was the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. According to her recollections, upon seeing the monastery, she experienced awe comparable to the feelings of a true pilgrim.

“During the Soviet period, a large number of icons were lost, destroyed and sold to other countries. However, ordinary people continued to keep them at home and pray. This, at first glance, paradoxical situation made me want to learn more about the religion and art of Russian people. And that is why I began to paint icons,” recalls Hiroko Kozuki.

Fate brought her together with the icon painter Sergei Tarasyan, then she created her first icon – the image of the Archangel Michael. Later, Hiroko Kozuki met a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Elena Antonova and under her mentorship began to develop her skills. In more than twenty years, Mrs. Kozuki has reached incredible heights, and today her works are already in several monasteries and churches in Russia. Over these years, she has acquired a recognizable style, in which traditional canons of iconography are subtly intertwined with elements of Japanese aesthetics.

The artist emphasizes that her favorite icon painter is Andrei Rublev. For her, his works are the absolute perfection of beauty. One of the icons presented at the exhibition is “Holy Trinity”, the source of inspiration for the creation of which was, of course, Rublev’s famous “Trinity”. “I always wanted to paint the image of the Holy Trinity, inspired by the most perfect and elegant icon of all time. It reminds me of the captivating final scene of my favorite film by Andrei Tarkovsky “Andrei Rublev”, when the black and white picture suddenly changes to color and a full-screen image of the icon “Trinity” appears,” says Hiroko Kozuki.

    Between religions

If you look at Kozuki’s icons from afar and know nothing about the author, it is difficult to even imagine that they were created by a person who grew up in a different culture. When you get closer, you begin to discern details, coloristic features and amazing fineness of lines, which reveal to the experienced eye a slight resemblance to Japanese engravings. Created in strict accordance with the Byzantine and Old Russian canons, Mrs. Kozuki’s icons not only demonstrate the highest mastery of technique, but also contain something elusive – additional depth and a sense of calm (probably that same slight response to Buddhist philosophy).

In Japan, where the artist was born and raised, the traditional religions are Buddhism and Shintoism. Thanks to a certain Japanese “liberalism” in matters of faith, Hiroko Kozuki did not have any serious religious contradictions with her passion: her attitude to Christianity is deeply sincere. She celebrates Christmas along with the New Year, can pray in front of an icon and believes in a guardian angel. She says: “The mission of a guardian angel is to protect a specific person, family, community or country… I am inspired by the idea of having my own icon of a guardian angel as my protector, who guides me in life.”

    Space of spiritual unity

At the exhibition in the Alexei Mikhailovich Palace, the works of the Japanese artist are displayed together with 10 beautiful examples of Russian icon painting of the 17th–19th centuries from the collection of the museum-reserve. The curators pursued two goals: on the one hand, to show the sources of inspiration of Hiroko Kozuki, on the other, to create a dialogue between two cultures and demonstrate that spiritual heritage is not limited to one era or tradition. According to the curators, this is a meeting of two worlds, where respect for the canon becomes the basis for mutual enrichment, and beauty and harmony are part of the code of human unity.

The exhibition presents 23 works by the artist. Among them are icons of the Holy Trinity, the Nativity, the Transfiguration, the Annunciation, the Ascension, the Image of the Savior Not Made by Hands, the images of the Virgin Mary “Throne”, “Kazan”, “Leaping of the Child”, St. Nicholas of Myra, Archangel Michael, as well as “The Miracle of the Great Martyr George and the Dragon”. They are supplemented with detailed explications, sometimes with comments by the artist herself, texts about religions in Japan, including Christianity, as well as photographs from Hiroko Kozuki’s travels to Orthodox monasteries and shrines. All this ensures complete immersion in the material and creates a special feeling of a capsule in the three small halls of the exhibition – a closed space of spirituality and beauty beyond time, linguistic, geographical and cultural boundaries.

The exhibition “Treasures of the Divine World: Japanese Icons by Hiroko Kozuki” at the palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich will last until October 26. Tickets can be purchased using the service “Mosbilet”.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: “City of Ideas” presented an updated thematic page in the form of an interactive map

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: Moscow Government – Government of Moscow –

An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

“City of Ideas” presented an updated topic page in the form of an interactive map called “City of Ideas – City of Dreams”. It shows how Muscovites’ proposals are transforming the capital. Here, users get acquainted with key areas of city life and learn how to interact with the platform in a game format.

The theme page became available in October 2024 to celebrate the platform’s 10th anniversary.

    New areas and games

Now new areas have appeared on the map – “Children’s Leisure” and “Sports”, which were opened this year to collect suggestions from city residents in the “Suggest an Idea” section. In the places where these areas are located on the landing page, users will find games. Thus, everyone has a chance to influence the development of the areas and contribute to the creation of a more comfortable urban environment.

New educational games have appeared on the page, each of which will help to understand how exactly Muscovites can influence the development of the capital and how their ideas are implemented. For example, in the game “Ideal Couple” the user will have to select for each idea a suitable city sphere within which the initiative can be implemented.

In the game “My Park” you need to collect combinations of various objects to get objects for the improvement of the virtual public space. For example, by choosing a metal pole and a light bulb, players can make a lantern.

The main task in the game “City Matches” is to connect identical cells with the image of spheres in rows. The variety of cells-spheres will show the wide range of topics that the platform covers “City of Ideas”.

The game “Feel like an expert”, in which participants evaluate the feasibility of implementing ideas, has a second level. Thus, players need to study the map and decide whether it is possible to install a parking lot for scooters next to the park, if across the road there is already one parking lot for such transport and another one for bicycles.

Interaction with new spheres and participation in new games is available to those users who successfully complete the first level games already on the page and reach the second.

    Suggest ideas and earn points

Thanks to the thematic page “City of Ideas – City of Dreams”, everyone can feel involved in the capital’s changes and offer new ideas that can make Moscow more comfortable, beautiful and modern.

This can be done either by playing the game “Feel like an expert”, from where it is convenient to go to the form for submitting an idea on the relevant topic, or by clicking on the “City of ideas – city of dreams” logo in the upper left corner of the screen, selecting the area of interest in the “Suggest an idea” section.

For each successfully completed game on the second level, users will be awarded 100 points of the city loyalty program “A Million Prizes”. They can be used to obtain goods and services presented on the program website or donated to charity.

To participate in the games, the user must log in to the platform using Mos ID – an account on the mos.ru portal.

The City of Ideas platform has been operating since 2014. During this time, more than 623 thousand users have joined it. They share suggestions on how to make life in the capital more comfortable. More than 8.8 thousand suggestions have already been implemented. City residents participated in projects dedicated to electronic services, culture, entrepreneurship, healthcare, education, transport and other topics. The platform is being developed by the State Institution New Management Technologies andDepartment of Information Technology of the City of Moscow.

The creation, development and operation of the e-government infrastructure, including the provision of mass socially significant services, as well as other services in electronic form, correspond to the objectives of the national project “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State” and the regional project of the city of Moscow “Digital Public Administration”.
