  • MIL-OSI Russia: Irkeshtam checkpoint shows new vitality in trade cooperation between China and Central Asia

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: People’s Republic of China in Russian – People’s Republic of China in Russian –

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

URUMQI, June 14 (Xinhua) — Trucks loaded with “Made in China” products such as NEV cars, yachts, electromechanical equipment passed through the Irkeshtam port on the China-Kyrgyzstan border in early June, while trucks from Kyrgyzstan also lined up to enter China. Irkeshtam, China’s westernmost land port, has seen booming trade between China and Central Asia.

The Irkeshtam border crossing is located in Ucha County of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (Northwest China) and approximately 200 km from Kyrgyzstan’s Osh Region.

According to data as of June 4, since the beginning of 2025, the total volume of passenger traffic through the Irkeshtam checkpoint and the number of vehicles that have passed customs and border checks in both directions at this border crossing amounted to more than 109 thousand person-times and 102 thousand units, respectively, which is approximately 80 percent more in annual terms for both indicators.

“Currently, the efficiency of customs clearance has increased significantly, and the volume of transportation and cargo has also increased,” said Vokibek Ashim, a customs broker who has been working at the Irkeshtam checkpoint for 13 years.

On June 1, the Irkeshtam checkpoint officially launched a trial 24/7 customs clearance regime /24 hours a day, 7 days a week/. Thus, Irkeshtam became the second border checkpoint in Xinjiang to ensure continuous operation in the area of customs clearance of goods, following the Khorgos checkpoint.

This regime has increased the efficiency of customs clearance and reduced costs for local transport companies.

After the continuous operation mode was implemented, the volume of coal imported from Kyrgyzstan increased from “one batch per day” to “three batches in two days,” said Chen Tao, an employee of a local coal transportation company. “The efficiency has improved and the import cost has actually decreased,” he added.

The efficient operation of the checkpoint has brought tangible benefits to both Central Asians and Chinese residents.

“Cross-border transportation makes my life better and better,” said Gao Pengshan, who has been driving trucks with NEVs between China and Uzbekistan for years. And Uzbek driver Sardorbek Khamidov’s monthly income has jumped from more than 3,000 yuan to nearly 10,000 yuan.

“The continuous customs clearance regime gives me confidence in cross-border transportation between Uzbekistan and China,” said Sardorbek Khamidov, adding that it will also allow a greater range of high-quality agricultural products from Uzbekistan to enter the Chinese market.

In the port area, at an altitude of over 2,800 meters above sea level, construction is underway on a new border and customs complex. This state-of-the-art facility, expected to open in 2026, will take customs clearance potential between China and Central Asia to new heights.

“The checkpoint is no longer just a cargo channel. Every truck that passes through the checkpoint is a witness to the aspiration of the people of the two countries for a better life,” said checkpoint employee Irkeshtam Van Ping. -0-

  • MIL-OSI USA: Boyle Statement on Iran’s Threat to Israel and Global Stability

Source: United States House of Representatives – Congressman Brendan Boyle (13th District of Pennsylvania)

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement regarding the Iranian regime’s continued aggression:

“The Iranian regime has spent decades threatening Israel’s existence and fueling terror across the Middle East and the world. Its deepening military ties with Russia also underscore the growing global threat Iran poses.

Tehran has never been serious about peace, only about buying time to advance its nuclear ambitions. That’s why I voted against the Iran nuclear deal in 2015.

We must remain clear-eyed about the danger Iran presents and stand firmly with Israel and our allies around the world. It is deeply unfortunate, but not surprising, that President Trump refused to back Israel in this important moment.”

  • MIL-OSI Russia: China MFA: China will continue to be an important driving force for global connectivity

    Translation. Region: Russian Federal

Source: People’s Republic of China in Russian – People’s Republic of China in Russian –

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

BEIJING, June 14 (Xinhua) — China will continue to act as an important driving force for global connectivity, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said Friday.

Currently, China-Europe international freight railway routes link 128 cities in China with 229 cities in 26 European countries and more than 100 cities in 11 Asian countries, representing cooperation in connectivity between China and the world, he said at a regular press briefing.

This is how the Chinese diplomat commented on the statement that the China-Europe international freight railway routes have become an “accelerator” of economic and trade cooperation between the countries participating in the Belt and Road initiative.

According to a Chinese Foreign Ministry official, the China-Europe international freight train service, which runs every 30 minutes or less, is one of the major achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative. It operates efficiently, smoothly and stably, not only serving as a bridge for economic and trade exchanges between Asia and Europe, but also providing a driving force for the development of countries along the Belt and Road.

The China-Laos Railway and the New Land-Sea Multimodal Transport Corridor in Western China are operating smoothly, and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway is under construction. According to Lin Jian, these projects are examples of how new logistics routes improve the efficiency of cross-border logistics, promote people-to-people and trade exchanges, and deepen industrial coordination and value chain integration, promoting industrial transformation and upgrading in the countries concerned and bringing a real sense of fulfillment to local residents.

“Connectivity is one of the key areas of cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative,” Lin Jian added, noting that China will firmly adhere to the principles of joint consultation, joint construction and shared benefits, continue to act as an important driving force for global connectivity, and benefit the world through its own development and achieve multilateral win-win results. -0-

  • MIL-OSI USA: House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Meeks, Frankel, Shaheen, Schatz Statement on Recissions Package Cuts to Foreign Assistance

Source: United States House of Representatives – Congressman Gregory W Meeks (5th District of New York)

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representatives Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY), Ranking Member of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Lois Frankel (D-FL), Ranking Member of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on National Security, Department of State and Related Programs, and U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Brian Schatz (D-HI), Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs, released the following statement concerning the rescissions package sent to Congress by the Trump administration, which would cut $8.3 billion in foreign assistance, including $900 million in cuts to global health programs, as well as cuts to democracy assistance, economic and development assistance, and economic and energy support for Ukraine and other states affected by Russia’s illegal invasion.

“The cuts to U.S. foreign assistance in the White House’s rescissions package undercut key American national security interests and risk our country’s safety and prosperity. Our soft power toolkit helps prevent conflict and promote democracy and stability. The draconian DOGE cuts that President Trump and Elon Musk have put in place have been justified through misleading claims that ignore the harm to America and global death toll that have resulted from their actions. Their claims about fiscal responsibility are laughable in the context of President Trump’s push at all costs to pass a budget that adds $2.4 trillion in deficits while stripping millions of Americans of their health care.

“When America retreats from the world, China and Russia advance. And when our adversaries take our place, America is weaker and more vulnerable. Our manufacturers and workers get boxed out of export markets by unfair economic competition from China. And vulnerable populations around the world, suffer from severely restricting access to HIV treatment and prevention services to forcing food ration cuts in refugee camps.

“That is the legacy of DOGE’s impact on America’s foreign policy infrastructure and soft power. Our country in retreat in the face of great power adversaries. Our global influence diminished. And the poorest of the poor globally being left to die because of slipshod cuts by tech dilettantes.”

  • MIL-OSI USA: McClintock, Lee Introduce the Open America’s Waters Act to Repeal Jones Act, Boost Coastal Trade

Source: United States House of Representatives – Congressman Tom McClintock Representing the 4th District of California

WASHINGTON – Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) introduced the Open America’s Waters Act today to deregulate America’s coastal trade and alleviate the energy crisis by repealing the outdated Jones Act.  U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced a companion bill in the U.S. Senate.

“The Jones Act is outdated in a global economy.  It enriches a very small special interest at the expense of every consumer in America,” said Rep. McClintock. “Repealing this restrictive and counterproductive law is vital for the new golden age that President Trump has envisioned.”

“Outdated regulations from the Jones Act have deepened the energy crisis and heightened prices for Americans on goods from our own country,” said Senator Mike Lee. “American producers have been forced into dangerous workarounds like importing their energy resources from Russia. The Open America’s Waters Act will cut this 105-year-old red tape to alleviate the energy crisis, bring prices down for Americans, and protect our national security from adversarial nations.”

    Background:

The Open America’s Waters Act would repeal the Jones Act, an outdated and particularly demanding regulation on America’s coastal trade. The Jones Act requires all goods transported by water between U.S. ports to be carried on a vessel that was constructed and registered in the U.S., and is both owned and primarily crewed by U.S. citizens.

While these requirements were originally touted in 1920 as necessary for America’s national security, they have actually endangered it by severely limiting access to critical energy sources and incentivizing American companies to contract with adversarial nations in their efforts to comply with its stipulations. Additionally, the elevated costs associated with compliance result in higher prices for Americans on goods produced in their own country.

Attempts to comply with the Jones Act have forced American producers to choose expensive and even politically risky transportation options. For example, cattle ranchers in Hawaii have opted for expensive planes rather than boats to transport cattle to the mainland. Puerto Rico imports jet fuel from Venezuela – benefitting the human rights-violating Maduro regime – rather than nearby Gulf Coast refineries. And because there are no compliant specialty carriers capable of transporting LNG or propane gas, Massachusetts and Puerto Rico have had to import LNG from adversarial Russia.

The Open America’s Waters Act would repeal the outdated Jones Act regulations to cut red tape for American producers, improve national security by disincentivizing contracts with adversarial nations, and bring down prices for American consumers.

The Open America’s Waters Act would:

    •    Repeal the 105-year-old Jones Act regulations requiring all goods transported by water between U.S. ports to be carried on a vessel: (1) Constructed in the U.S., (2) Registered in the U.S., (3) Owned by U.S. Citizens, and (4) Primarily crewed by U.S. citizens.

The House legislation is H.R. 3940.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today spoke from the House floor and then voted against the $9.4 billion rescissions bill that cuts already Congressionally appropriated money for public broadcasting (PBS and NPR) and foreign aid, including support for poor children through UNICEF.

In his floor remarks during debate on the bill, Congressman Cohen responded to Republican members who had made false claims, and said in part:

“There will be people who will die. This bill is good for Russia and China and undertakers because it’s going to have people dying. Bill Gates says this is the richest man in the world – Musk – taking advantage of, and killing, the poorest children in the world. They’re not going to be getting the PEPFAR program created by George Bush. They’re not going to get the sustenance they need that’s rotting in ships right now. Don’t end it; mend it. This is a terrible bill. This is Musk’s bill on drugs.”

Source: United States House of Representatives – Representative Eric Swalwell (CA-15)

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-14) issued the following statement on the Assault of Senator Alex Padilla:

“America is dying. The brutal attack on Senator Padilla puts America closer to a failed democracy. Senator Padilla was physically grabbed and removed from a press conference — that took place in his own office building — for doing his job. Senator Padilla spoke truth to power and was arrested for doing so.

Secretary Kristi Noem must resign immediately. She has lost the confidence of the American people. We were promised ICE would target violent criminals. Instead, they’re terrorizing families. A four-year-old American citizen battling cancer was deported. A U.S. Marshall was detained over the weekend. And now, two members of congress have been arrested. ICE must also remove its mask. Faceless agents have no business in America. These agents — who resemble KGB officers clearing protests in Russia — are endangering the public and other law enforcement officials.

The public must show up this weekend at the No Kings Day rallies across 2,000 cities. The size is the point. Not violence. The size. Let’s show Donald Trump there are more decent, freedom-loving Americans than those who support fascism.”

Moscow, June 14 /Xinhua/ — In light of the dangerous escalation of the situation as a result of Israel’s military action against Iran, Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday. The corresponding information was published by the press service of the Russian head of state on the same day.

The Russian President expressed his condolences to the leadership and people of Iran in connection with the numerous human casualties, including civilians, as a result of Israeli strikes.

The UK urges all parties to show restraint and reduce tensions: UK statement at the UN Security Council

Statement by Ambassador Barbara Woodward, UK Permanent Representative to the UN, at the emergency UN Security Council meeting on Iran.

President, the Security Council meets today at a dangerous moment.

We are deeply concerned by Israel’s strikes on sites in Iran, as well as the Iranian military action we’ve already seen in response.

There is a clear risk that this crisis escalates, with serious implications for peace and security across the region and beyond.

    This is in no-one’s interests.

Colleagues, our first priority must be to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.

We urge all parties to urgently step back, show restraint and reduce tensions.

The UK did not participate in this action.

And let me say clearly and unequivocally that Russia’s claims that the British sovereign bases on the island of Cyprus were in any way involved is nonsense.

It is deeply irresponsible at moments like this for Russia to be spreading disinformation.

We firmly support any diplomatic efforts to return to stability.

Today, we have spoken to Israel at the highest levels, and our Foreign Secretary has also spoken to Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi.

We have urged both sides to show restraint and de-escalate tensions.

We continue to engage partners across the region to ensure we are collectively doing our utmost to push for a peaceful outcome.

The UK, in partnership with the E3, has always championed a diplomatic solution to address Iran’s nuclear escalation, which has no credible civilian justification.

We will not be deterred from this.

As my Prime Minister said today, we have long held concerns about Iran’s nuclear programme as documented by the IAEA. Israel also needs to protect its people and security.

It is therefore in the interests of all actors to stop military confrontation and pursue a negotiated solution.

President, this is time for a strong, united position from members of this Council.

We must take urgent action to de-escalate and provide an opportunity for a return to diplomacy.

  • MIL-OSI Russia: IMF Executive Board Completes Fourth Reviews Under the Extended Credit Facility and Extended Fund Facility Arrangements, First Review of an Arrangement Under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility, and Concludes 2025 Article IV Consultation with Papua New Guinea

Source: IMF – News in Russian

    June 13, 2025

    • The Executive Board completed the Fourth Reviews under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangements for Papua New Guinea, providing the country with immediate access to about US$172 million.
    • The IMF Executive Board also completed the First Review under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) arrangement, making available about US$28 million to support the authorities’ policies to address longer-term structural balance of payments vulnerabilities associated with climate change. Papua New Guinea is the first Pacific Island country to access the RSF.
    • The IMF-supported programs will continue to support Papua New Guinea’s homegrown reform agenda, focusing on strengthening debt sustainability, alleviating FX shortages, fostering good governance, and building climate resilience, while protecting the vulnerable and promoting inclusive and sustainable growth.

Washington, DC: On June 13, 2025, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed the Fourth Reviews of Papua New Guinea’s ECF/EFF arrangements and the First Review under the RSF arrangement.[1] The authorities have consented to the publication of the Staff Report prepared for this consultation.[2] The completion of these reviews allows for the immediate disbursement of SDR 121.07 million (about US$172 million) under the ECF/EFF and SDR 19.74 million (about US$28 million) under the RSF, bringing total disbursements under the programs so far to SDR 461.93 million (about US$655 million). The Executive Board also concluded the Article IV consultation with Papua New Guinea.

The ECF/EFF arrangements with Papua New Guinea were approved by the Executive Board on March 22, 2023, in an overall amount equivalent to SDR 684.32 million (260 percent of quota) to help address a protracted balance of payments need—manifested in foreign exchange shortages—and to support the authorities’ reforms to address longstanding structural impediments to inclusive growth. The 24-month RSF arrangement, which was approved by the Executive Board on December 11, 2024, in an overall amount of SDR 197.4 million (75 percent of quota), aims to help address risks to prospective balance of payments stability associated with longer-term structural challenges posed by climate change.

Papua New Guinea’s economic outlook remains positive as structural reforms continue to bear fruit. Notwithstanding a weakening external environment, growth is expected to increase to 4.7 percent in 2025, driven by strong growth in the resource sector and resilient growth in the non-resource sector in part thanks to improvements in access to foreign exchange. Headline inflation is expected to rise to 4.8 percent from a very low base in 2024 and core inflation is expected to edge up to 4 percent. Over the medium term, growth is expected to moderate and stabilize at just above 3 percent, supported by the non-resource sector growth, with inflation remaining anchored at around 4.5 percent.

The outlook is subject to significant downside risks, as Papua New Guinea is vulnerable to both domestic and external shocks. These risks are exacerbated by considerable capacity constraints and socio-political fragility that limit the government’s ability to design and implement policies aimed at economic stabilization, development, and climate adaptation. Commodity price volatility, as well as other global risks arising from geopolitical conflicts, geoeconomic fragmentation, trade barriers, and supply disruptions may create additional pressure on growth and inflation. On the upside, the kickoff of major resource projects, which are not yet in the baseline scenario, could boost economic growth in the medium run, with significant gains in exports and fiscal revenues once they begin operations.

Program performance has remained satisfactory, with the authorities displaying a sustained commitment to reforms. All but one end-December 2024 quantitative performance criteria and indicative targets under the ECF-EFF arrangements were met, and six out of eight structural benchmarks due were fully or partially implemented. One reform measure under the RSF arrangement was implemented.

At the conclusion of the Executive Board’s discussion, Mr. Bo Li, Deputy Managing Director, and Acting Chair, made the following statement:

“The Papua New Guinea (PNG) authorities have continued implementing their multipronged reform agenda under the Fund-supported programs, with the reforms continuing to bear fruit. Sustained commitment to these homegrown reforms will help achieve more resilient, inclusive, and greener economic growth.

“The authorities have been successfully reducing the fiscal deficit and adopted important amendments to the Income Tax Act—a major milestone in the simplification of tax policies. Going forward, further fiscal adjustment, guided by the implementation of the authorities’ medium-term revenue strategy and supported by efforts to limit the growth of current spending and strengthen expenditure efficiency, would help to durably reduce debt vulnerabilities. Securing fiscal space for social and capital spending, engaging in prudent borrowing, and strengthening debt management capacity, including to avoid incurrence of arrears, are also essential.

“Foreign exchange shortages continued to ease, supported by central banking reforms, increased flexibility of the Kina, and favorable external conditions. The current crawl-like arrangement remains appropriate to bring the Kina to its market-clearing rate and facilitate the return to Kina convertibility. A tighter monetary policy stance, through timely adjustments in the KFR, is needed to ensure consistency between monetary policy and the exchange rate regime. Further efforts to modernize monetary policy operations, strengthen the Bank of PNG’s liquidity management capacity, develop the interbank market, and operationalize its lender of last resort function would help to support financial sector development.

“Further strengthening governance and addressing the remaining gaps in the anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism regime are critical. Meanwhile, macro-structural reforms should focus on improving PNG’s external competitiveness and attracting foreign investment, including by removing barriers to trade, enhancing export capacity, and further diversifying the economy.

“Reforms under the new RSF arrangement will help the authorities build resilience against climate-related risks and address structural balance of payments vulnerabilities. The recent climate finance roundtable event, which provided several concrete and innovative climate finance options, will support the authorities’ efforts to effectively scale up resources for climate action.

“The ECF/EFF and RSF arrangements will continue to support the authorities’ homegrown reform agenda, helping address balance of payment needs and rebuild buffers, while avoiding disruptive adjustment and catalyzing support from other international partners. Timely technical assistance and advice from the IMF and other development partners will continue to underpin reform implementation.

    Executive Board Assessment[3]

Executive Directors agreed with the thrust of the staff appraisal. They commended the authorities for their commitment to keep program performance on track in a fragile socio‑political environment and welcomed positive developments in macroeconomic and fiscal indicators. Given significant downside risks and elevated external uncertainty, they stressed the importance of building buffers to preserve macroeconomic stability. They encouraged the authorities to continue to advance critical structural reforms with the support of capacity development activities.

Directors supported the authorities’ fiscal consolidation strategy and stressed the need for continued efforts to durably reduce public debt risks, including by enhancing the rules‑based fiscal framework, strengthening debt management capacity, and maintaining a prudent borrowing strategy. They called for a continued reduction of the fiscal deficit while securing space for development spending by combining revenue mobilization efforts with improvements in expenditure efficiency and cash management. They called for a timely adoption of the amendments to the Internal Revenue Commission Act to reinforce accountability in revenue collection.

Directors commended the progress achieved in implementing central banking reforms. They supported efforts to depreciate the Kina to its market‑clearing rate and gradually eliminate foreign exchange restrictions. They broadly concurred that a tighter monetary policy stance would help anchor inflation expectations and support the exchange rate regime, and emphasized the importance of liquidity management reforms to strengthen monetary policy transmission. They encouraged further development of the financial sector while containing financial stability risks.

Directors encouraged the authorities to further promote good governance, law and order, proactively enhance their AML/CFT framework, allocate sufficient budget resources to the Independent Commission Against Corruption, and swiftly appoint its oversight committee members. They also emphasized the need for enhancing transparency in the financial dealings of state‑owned enterprises.

Directors encouraged the authorities to expedite reforms to enhance external competitiveness and help attract foreign investment, including by improving the business environment, removing barriers to trade, enhancing export capacity, reducing gender imbalances, and further diversifying the economy. Directors commended efforts to scale up climate finance and called for maintaining focus on strengthening disaster risk management, setting up fiscal incentives for fuel efficiency and forest protection, and integrating climate considerations in infrastructure governance.

  • MIL-OSI: KGNCLOUD Introduces Zero Threshold Gold Mining for Crypto’s New Era

    Source: GlobeNewswire (MIL-OSI)

New York City, NJ, June 13, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —

The cryptocurrency market is undergoing a new round of explosive changes—Bitcoin has broken through the $100,000 mark, the US has relaxed regulations, and Russia has fully legalised mining. These monumental shifts are reshaping the global financial landscape. In response, cloud mining is increasingly recognized as a pivotal pathway for ordinary investors seeking entry into the market, offering compelling advantages such as zero hardware investment and freedom from ongoing operation and maintenance costs. The following key trends and strategies will help you seize the unique opportunities presented by this evolving digital economy.

This period of explosive growth is not merely a fleeting surge but signals a profound maturation of the cryptocurrency sector, driven by emerging global forces. A “Global Vision: New Mining Forces in 2025” highlights critical developments:

    • Political Capital Entry: The Trump family and Hut 8 have jointly established American Bitcoin Corp (ABTC), with a Nasdaq listing countdown approaching. This strategic alignment predicts Bitcoin will exceed $170,000 in 2026, signaling significant mainstream validation.
    • Game Between Energy Countries: Russia is strategically leveraging the US mining machine tariff war to absorb global computing power, while Canada and Kazakhstan, with their low-electricity price areas, are becoming the primary power sources for the migration of mining sites, creating new hubs of digital asset production.

At the heart of KGNCLOUD’s offering is its revolutionary Zero Threshold Digital Gold Mining initiative, embodying an inclusive solution designed to dismantle barriers to entry. This groundbreaking feature empowers users with:

    • Free Trial Mining: Register today to receive $100 in experience money, allowing users to verify KGNCLOUD’s profit model without any initial risk.
    • No Hardware/Electricity Pressure: The platform fully bears all operation and maintenance costs, ensuring users enjoy pure profit sharing, free from the burdens of significant hardware investment, energy consumption, or technical upkeep.
    • Flexible Withdrawal in Multiple Currencies: KGNCLOUD supports rapid withdrawals of 11 major cryptocurrencies, including USDT, BTC, and ETH, with funds credited to user accounts within a swift 5 minutes.

“This is a transformative period for digital assets,” commented Joy Bennett, “The shift in market dynamics and regulatory landscapes creates unprecedented opportunities, making accessible solutions like cloud mining increasingly vital for broader participation. We are witnessing a convergence of mainstream finance and decentralized technology, opening doors that were previously unimaginable for stable digital asset accumulation.”

The benefits of KGNCLOUD’s platform extend far beyond just eliminating hardware and operational costs. It significantly reduces investment risk, broadens accessibility to diverse demographics—from students and busy professionals to retirees—and offers a truly global reach. KGNCLOUD leverages secure, state-of-the-art infrastructure across geographically distributed data centers, ensuring operational resilience and transparent reporting. This robust framework guarantees reliable service and empowers users with real-time insights into their mining performance.

Take the leading platform KGNCLOUD Mining as an example (the first user growth rate in 2025):

Contract type Investment amount Cycle (days) Expected income
    Free experience $100 1 $100+$1
    Classic computing power (primary) $500 4 $500+$100
    Classic computing power (advanced) $1200 5 $1200+$240

  • MIL-OSI USA: Murphy Statement on Israel’s Attack on Iran

    US Senate News:

Source: United States Senator for Connecticut – Chris Murphy

    June 12, 2025

WASHINGTON–U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, on Thursday released the following statement:
“Israel’s attack on Iran, clearly intended to scuttle the Trump Administration’s negotiations with Iran, risks a regional war that will likely be catastrophic for America and is further evidence of how little respect world powers – including our own allies – have for President Trump. Iran would not be this close to possessing a nuclear weapon if Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu had not forced America out of the nuclear agreement with Iran that brought Europe, Russia, and China together behind the United States to successfully contain Iran’s nuclear ambitions. This is a disaster of Trump and Netanyahu’s own making, and now the region risks spiraling toward a new, deadly conflict. A war between Israel and Iran may be good for Netanyahu’s domestic politics, but it will likely be disastrous for both the security of Israel, the United States, and the rest of the region. As Secretary Rubio stated, the United States was not involved in today’s strikes, and we have no obligation to follow Israel into a war we did not ask for and will make us less safe.”

Türkiye’s renewable power capacity to reach 38.2GW in 2035, forecasts GlobalData

    Posted in Power

Türkiye boasts one of the world’s most rapidly expanding energy markets, driven by its robust economic growth. However, the country relies heavily on fossil and electricity imports to meet its domestic power demand. To reduce this dependency, the country is looking to expand is renewable capacity. In October 2024, Türkiye’s Ministry of Energy unveiled its 2035 roadmap for renewable energy. Against this backdrop, the country’s renewable power capacity is forecast to reach 38.2GW in 2035, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.1% during 2024-35, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

GlobalData’s latest report, “Turkey Power Market Outlook to 2035, Update 2025 – Market Trends, Regulations, and Competitive Landscape,” reveals that annual power generation in Türkiye is expected to increase at a CAGR of 8.6% during 2024-35 to reach 213.5TWh.

Attaurrahman Ojindaram Saibasan, Senior Power Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Türkiye aims to quadruple its wind and solar capacity, targeting a goal of 120GW by 2035. To achieve this, the country plans to install between 7.5 and 8GW of renewable energy capacity annually, with an investment of $80 billion. The strategy includes the addition of at least 2GW of wind capacity each year through YEKA auctions, which  included 1.2GW of wind and 800MW of solar in the YEKA 2024 auction. Furthermore, the development of 5GW of offshore wind is targeted. These targets are expected to augment renewable power development.”

Saibasan adds: “Türkiye’s increasing demand for power has been driven by the nation’s expanding GDP and population growth, with projections indicating a continued upward trend. As the primary source of power generation in Türkiye, thermal power—predominantly derived from natural gas, followed by hard coal and lignite—plays a crucial role.”

However, Türkiye’s domestic fossil fuel resources are limited, necessitating a heavy reliance on imported fuels to satisfy its energy needs, including those for power generation. According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Türkiye, approximately 74% of Turkey’s energy requirements are met through imports. The country sources natural gas from Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Algeria, and Nigeria, while its crude oil imports primarily come from Iraq, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Kazakhstan, and Nigeria.

Saibasan concludes: “To overcome the challenge, the country has placed focus on nuclear and renewable power. Within the renewable power segment, solar PV constituted nearly 51.3% of the total renewable power capacity followed by onshore wind, accounting for 32.9% in 2024. The country is looking to add offshore wind into its capacity mix by 2032. In the Offshore Wind Roadmap, Türkiye has established a goal of achieving 5GW of installed capacity for offshore wind power by 2035.”

  • MIL-OSI Russia: China’s Defense Ministry warns some countries against encouraging Taiwan separatists

Source: People’s Republic of China – State Council News

BEIJING, June 13 (Xinhua) — Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin on Friday called on individual countries to firmly abide by the one-China principle in practice and stop sending any wrong signals to separatist forces advocating “Taiwan independence.”

Jiang Bin made the statement while commenting on events held in Taiwan: a chief-of-staff war game organized by a Taiwanese civil group with the participation of former senior military officials from the United States and Japan, as well as a U.S.-Taiwan defense industry forum in Taipei.

Recalling that the Taiwan issue is an exclusively internal affair of China that does not tolerate outside interference, Jiang Bin pointed out that any actions that encourage and support separatists advocating “Taiwan independence” will only undermine peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and the region, and will inevitably backfire on their initiators, bringing them bitter consequences.

“Any attempt to achieve ‘Taiwan independence’ by relying on external forces or to use Taiwan to contain China is doomed to failure, the spokesman concluded. -0-

  • MIL-OSI Global: Bulgaria is joining the euro in January – and not everyone is pleased

Source: The Conversation – UK – By Yuxiang Lin, Doctoral Researcher, Centre for Russian, European and Eurasian Studies, University of Birmingham

The EU has given the green light for Bulgaria to join the euro from January 1 2026. This huge step towards European integration comes just six months after Bulgaria became a full member of Schengen area, within which people can move freely across borders.

However, while rapprochement moves apace at the top level, euroscepticism shows little sign of abating at the grassroots level in Bulgaria, or in national party politics.

Protests calling for Bulgaria to stick with its national currency have sprung up in both capital city Sofia and in several towns around the country. A May poll showed that 38% of Bulgarians were against the euro and only 21% agreed that the switch should go ahead in January.

Others wanted to wait a few years. In a similar poll in January, 40% of respondents said they never wanted Bulgaria to join the euro.

Anti-euro protests tend to be associated with the Bulgarian nationalist political parties. The most influential of these, Vazrazhdane, has become increasingly popular and won 13.63% in the most recent parliamentary elections in October 2024. It had won just 2.45% in elections held in April 2021.

Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007. When, in December 2021, I interviewed a former spokesman for the political party NDSV (National Movement Simeon II), which was in government from 2001 to 2009, they said Bulgarians had very high expectations ahead of becoming part of the bloc.

They had thought it would take just a few years for Bulgaria to be as economically developed as Switzerland, and that their standard of life would soar. The dream was that Bulgaria to become the so-called “Switzerland of the Balkans”, as both countries have similar population size and a similar touristic appeal.

The EU has channelled €16.3 billion into Bulgaria since the country joined EU, particularly for infrastructure development. However, a year of fieldwork has shown me that Sofia has been the main benefactor of this investment.

Small municipalities and rural communities have not felt the benefit as clearly. Among the €16.3 billion, Sofia received €3.1 billion and Plovdiv received €0.8 billion.

Whereas Sofia gets new metro lines during recent years, citizens in some municipalities still struggle with basic public services for survival. Nearly 15% of the country’s population struggles with regular quality water supply.

The imagined “European” standard of life has not yet reached small municipalities and rural areas. Europe still feels far away.

Becoming part of the EU has given opportunities to Bulgarian citizens to work and live abroad in European countries. Official figures show 861,054 Bulgarian citizens lived in other EU countries in 2022. Recently a total of 74% of young people in Bulgaria are considering more or less seriously the idea of emigrating abroad.

However, the trend of young people working abroad in Europe has caused brain drain and has partially contributed to the decreasing population of Bulgaria, which fell from 7.68 million before it joined the EU in 2006 to 6.44 million in 2024.

According to a research analyst at a Sofia-based non-governmental organisation who I interviewed recently, many Bulgarian parents hope that their children working abroad in Europe will return to work in Bulgaria, because jobs for migrants abroad tend not be for high-skilled workers.

Accession to the eurozone is more likely to benefit Sofia-based people who do business abroad rather than older people living local lives in small municipalities or rural areas. Younger and working people have already been shown to be the ones who benefited most from European integration in Bulgaria and Romania in the first place.

That said, support for EU membership has been rising recently.

    Holding a coalition together

Despite euroscepticism, European integration is one of the few issues that unites Bulgaria’s fragile coalition government – although not all political parties agree with joining the eurozone.

Bulgaria held seven parliamentary elections between April 2021 and October 2024. It therefore has been a surprise that amid the political turmoil, the coalition government that was formed in October 2024 has survived. A very important motivational source here is unity on the question of Europe.

But with mixed results so far and with meaningful levels of opposition the joining the euro, Bulgaria’s government will have to be careful about the potential for eurosceptic movements to grow as they have in several other EU nations.

BEIJING, June 13 (Xinhua) — More than 120 farmers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have taken part in trainings organized by Weinan Vocational and Technical Institute (Weinan, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province) since December 2023.

The first training course this year for farmers from five Central Asian countries started in Weinan on Wednesday, the Shaanxi Daily reported, with 30 students from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

According to the plan, over the course of 10 days of training, participants will become familiar with the development of modern agriculture in China, advanced agricultural methods and technologies for processing agricultural products.

In addition, the training participants will visit Linwei District, Baishui and Dali Counties, as well as Weinan High-Tech Zone and Yangling High-Tech Agricultural Demonstration Zone, where they will study the experience and technologies of agricultural development in China.

The project to train Central Asian farmers is being implemented as part of the implementation of the results of the China-Central Asia summit, which was held in May 2023 in Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province.

China has advanced technologies for growing drought-resistant crops, which is of great importance for the development of agriculture in Central Asian countries.

Weinan Vocational College will further optimize its training system and services, improve the quality of education in all areas, and strive to create favorable conditions for students to study and live, so as to contribute to promoting agricultural exchanges between China and Central Asia, said Jin Huafeng, director of the college. -0-
